The apartment was really great to live in. The space was cool, maintenance was prompt, efficient, and thorough, and the office staff was friendly enough in the halls- although never actually able to help with anything. However, our move out experience was pretty upsetting. During move out, we had some things stolen from us (about $1000 worth), the office never responded to our email about this. Then we were nickeled and dimed through painting and cleaning even though the painted section was pointed out when we moved in (we were told they always paint when someone moves out and we wouldn't be charged unless we painted the walls a different color) and the space was cleaner than when we moved in. When we tried to reach out to discuss all of the charges, again there was no reply. We suspect a cleaning fee was charged because cigarette smells had been leaking through our vault door into the apartment for months (to which management responded, never directly, but by sending out building wide reminders not to smoke indoors). There were also several entries to the apartment without notice between emailing about stolen items and our lease ending. Move in only if you plan to never move out.
