I can't wait to move out of the Boston Lofts. They've changed management here so frequently and none of them communicate new rules/lease contracts/procedures to each other. I am told one thing by one manager and then I go in and talk to the new one, Chelsea, and am told something completely different about early lease termination. Chelsea was particularly rude and not willing to aid at all in the situation this leasing company has created for me. For example, I was told I had paid (and was charged $350.00) for my new pet deposit and TWO months later, Aimco decided to add on the new $35.00 pet rent at 8:00 p.m. on the 1st of the month. In which I had obviously already paid the total by then. I got a notice on the 5th of the month via email, saying I never paid the $35 pet rent and was no being charged a late fee for an additional total of $160.00!!! This took WEEKS for them to sort out. Next example, I was told by the previous manager that the only thing I would have to comply with in order to break my lease without penalties was to give a 30 days notice and pay a cleaning fee. I went in on April 30th, 2016 to break my lease and was informed that I had to give 60 days notice and then be charged an extra months rent to break my lease!!! Three months more of paying rent! Chelsea, ever so kindly, told me I could absolutely break it earlier and tried to scam me into leaving earlier BUT STILL PAY THE 90 days fees!! As if I was an idiot, not knowing she was only looking to get me out ASAP and make double the rent by renting it out to someone else and have me still paying for it! I would NEVER recommend this filth of an apartment complex to ANYONE. It's falling apart, nothing ever works, there's homeless people in here everywhere and there are NO amenities to offer. The only GREAT thing about this place is Ron, the maintenance guy. He is truly the BEST and is there for your every need! But I will celebrate the day I'm am out of here, and pity the poor soul who ends up taking over my open place.Hi Carol W. of Bank and Boston Lofts.. I'm sorry too, that you felt the need to reiterate yourself along with every other ONE star rating given to your company in the last 6 months that you would be "contacting the general manager in this matter" and I can feel free to contact you with ANY OTHER regards or CONCERNS. Well, this would be a concern! How about you contact ME regarding your poor leasing and management issues? Wouldn't that responsibility lie on you? And perhaps you should take a hard look at the latest reviews, posted from actual residents at the Boston Lofts.. That are a majority of one star (bc you can't go less).. And quit blaming residents and asking them to reach out to YOU. How about you do YOUR job.. And take the initiative to resolve these issues and reach out to the RESIDENTS HERE that are funding your leasing office and just attempt to try to make your own residents happy. Because, so far, your ratings are showing a shotty job. And I truly hope any and all potential candidates looking to rent, take into consideration the horrendous job the leasing office will do for you here. It's worth finding another, much more credible building.
