I implore future residents to do their research before choosing this place. Everything from the finishes within the apartment to the parking to the service at the leasing office is an absolute nightmare. The screening/TV room is just an extension of the leasing office and not a real perk. The pool was closed for the longest and the chair cushions were removed as though they didn't want residents to use the amenities. Same with the BBQ area. The computers in the Business Center are dated and slow. Most places that charge this much have Macs or at the very least decent wifi. The elevator is usually dirty. I can't tell you how many times I've seen puppy urine on the floor in there. As I was moving out, the back elevator was not operable! (This happens often and is very embarrassing when you have guests over). A perk is also that the leasing office can accept your packages but they often "lose or misplace" them so residents are leaving notes all over the complex about missing packages. The apartments themselves:Super dated finishes and not at all luxurious. The electric fireplace never worked fully. The wood paneling in the bathroom was falling apart when I moved in and so many appliances are broken or always on the brink of malfunctioning. I was always scared to use the dishwasher because it would overflow onto the wood floors. Not a small puddle, the whole kitchen floor would be covered in suds. The AC unit was constantly leaking water so I could only use it sparingly even during the summer months. It's like living in a glass house. Not wanting to use or touch anything too much for fear that it will break. I had track lighting in the entryway I couldn't use. The metal paneling on the microwave was always falling off. There isn't enough cupboard space in the kitchen to store all your pans, cups and plates. I had to buy a separate pantry. The maintenance staff were at my place often because I would go to open a cabinet door and it would literally snap off! I do crossfit but I don't even have the muscles to do that yet lol. The maintenance crew were actually nice, if they ran the leasing office this place wouldn't be half bad but unfortunately they don't.Speaking of repairs and expenses, you will likely spend hundreds + hundreds more per month on what should already be provided. From storage to extra parking (had to get two high security parking spaces from the Farmer's Market Self Storage next door) The amount of money I've poured into this place just to live comfortably is ridiculous. The front doors are too heavy and the walls are too thin so all you hear is BOOM - BOOM - BOOM all throughout the day as people are coming in and out of their homes. One can't even relax on days off. I had to install acoustic drapes by my front door and on the second floor to dilute the sound which was major $$. You may have to install a room divider or privacy screen because there isn't a way for guests to use the bathroom without walking through your bedroom. You can hear everything from CBS when they're filming and they don't care that people live right next door. They literally had our windows shaking with their LOUD Dancing With The Stars music like a nightclub. Our floors were vibrating, I couldn't believe it was legal. They had people with bullhorns screaming louder and louder for their finale show too and did several takes all week. They'll ruin your calm weekends so just get used to your wake up call being 7AM at the latest.Neighbors:20% are truly Angels. Very cheerful and informative. 80% are simply rude. There isn't much of a caring attitude among neighbors here. There was even an incident where a man from the second floor tried to forcibly remove my best girlfriend from the elevator because he said she didn't live here and therefore didn't deserve or have the right to ride with him -.- Wtf, since then we did our best to take the stairs to avoid rude neighbors. I've also seen kids who live here draw on and pull the emblems off my car -- Not coolLeasing staff:Lie often and rudest I've ever encountered. Monthly rent here is easily the cost of a mortgage and their leasing office couldn't even be polite. They hung up on me when I had questions, came into the apartment unit with no notice and added exorbitant fees for everything from access keys to remotes. I think it even costs to breathe air in that office so I hardly went.Neighborhood:FANTASTIC. If you have read this far, look for other luxury places within a 2-5 mile radius. There are so many. At least five to six good ones. I've since moved to a place nearby with no thefts or drama, approachable, friendly staff and spectacular views! You want to know what they said when I mentioned I was coming from the Broadcast Center? "Yeah, we get a lot of people from there." Please save yourselves the trouble and really look into this place. They cut corners and report real reviews on Yelp to make room for their paid, fictitious ones. Wish someone had warned me.
