I am disappointed by the greed exhibited by AIR, the owner of the complex. AIR is an investment real estate trust whose sole purpose is to make money for their investors. It started when the complex put parking meters for our visitor parking and continued when the fees for package delivery and various utilities increased. It ended when I moved out of an apartment that was going to be remodeled once I vacated. All of the cabinetry and flooring would be torn out and replaced and the apartment painted. I was charged a painting fee of $170.51. The apartment had not been repainted prior to me moving in and and I put no holes in the walls. Even if they were not going to repaint for the remodel, it would appear to be normal wear and tear after two years of me living there plus the time that the prior tenant was there. Then a full cleaning fee of $170 for an apartment that was going to be completely remodeled. I did clean the appliances since I did not know if they would be staying or not along with cleaning the baseboards, windows, and blinds. I have always gotten my full deposits back in the past. I was disappointed by the lack of communication and I do think it is outrageous to charge a cleaning and painting fee for an apartment that is going to be remodeled. If you are looking for great property management, check out any apartment managed by Cornerstone. I would recommend that people stay away from AIR.
