Current resident and can't wait to move out. Just another apartment complex that doesn't care about their residents. There was a sewage issue in my building (not a result of my actions) requiring extensive work done in my kitchen. First of all, the maintenance team and their contractors entered my apartment without my permission under the guise of "emergency". The "emergency" work was just marking the walls, they didn't even start the actual project until 16 hours later (the following day). It was likely more convenient for them to mark the walls at that time, not an emergency. When I expressed concern over this, I was hit with "per your lease" and the property manager insisted that marking the walls constituted an "emergency". Next, they asked me if there was a place for me and my dog to stay during the work, when that wasn't an option they offered me an EMPTY unit on property. Eventually I had to push for them to put me up in a hotel. To make matters worse, the contractor they used went into my bathroom, even though I left a note explicitly telling them not to enter my bathroom or bedroom. There was plaster under my bathroom sink, splattered on the ground/trashcan, on my speaker, and on the toilet handle (so presumably these workers also used my toilet). Additionally, I got a voicemail saying that the maintenance team had spoken with me and would be finishing up some minor work in my apartment the day following my return. No such conversation ever happened. I was disappointed in how the work was done and how the contractors handled themselves in my home, but more disappointed with the lack of concern or support I received from the property manager when I expressed that this episode made me feel unsafe in my own home. Also, this place is littered with irresponsible pet owners who leave their dog in the dog park unattended or allow their pets to roam off leash, including Lavonda who works in the office. Lastly, they charge for pest control yet I find spiders almost daily including brown recluses.
