I have been living at Evanston Place for over 4 years now, so I have a pretty good idea of what it is to live here.Up until about half a year ago, Evanston Place has been a fantastic place to live, albeit quite expensive. It used to be manged by David, and under him, the office staff were helpful and responsive. Location is great. However, this has all gone downhill in the last few months since David left and management has changed. First off, the staff are no longer as helpful. It took us over a month to get the paper work sorted for our lease renewal despite repeatedly dropping by the office to ask for the lease form. They only sporadically send emails notifying that packages have arrived in the office, and are extremely unfriendly when we pick up packages. There was also a leak in one of the apartments on our floor a few months ago, and it took over two weeks to sort out. The whole floor smelt of damp carpet and sewage water for a week. There were no apology emails sent out about this.It really is quite disappointing considering how great this place used to be. We'll be looking for a new place once the lease ends, since I would expect a much better service given the price they charge for rent. The change in management has really changed this place for the worse and I would no longer recommend it to a friend.
