Haven't even moved in yet, and I'm starting to see all these bad reviews are true. Our lease started July 28th, we get a phone call on afternoon of July 28th telling us to pay some fee they didn't tell us about (it also had our previous payments incorrectly listed) it by EOD, so we paid it, no big deal (although don't appreciate being contacted with 12 hours noticed). We then get an email today saying I'm being given a late fee. We were never even given a bill yet! I'm happy to pay my bills, but you guys never even sent me my first bill, and are already giving us late bills? That's ridiculous. Is this how you treat your tenants? The person on the phone said they'd waive it....When I went to pay, the late fee was on the portal so I call them, and then they say they had no record they would waive it. Like a Kafka novel...person in evanston place cant do anything, routes me to Denver, where that person can't do anything. It's ridiculous. I've lived in an assortment of luxury apartment in Manhattan prior to moving to Evanston, have never been treated like this, and It's only been 5 days and I haven't even moved in yet!
