Despite the low score I've given to Foxchase of Alexandria, I admit that when I first visited the facility it was one of the most beautiful apartment complexes in the Northern Virginia area - and it fit comfortably within my price range. Let me preface this review with the fact that I loved my tiny apartment, which was surrounded by parks and located conveniently on 395. But also I agree with the many other people on Google, Apartment Ratings, and Yelp! that the management office needs serious review. And yes, to the point that you should reconsider your move to this apartment complex. The Foxchase staff is nice but obviously overworked, and as a result they are often tired and upset by the time you speak to them. Among the many times I had to speak with management, one really stands out. They lost my move-out notice, after I had walked to the building and signed the official paper, and asked me to write a new one in email. I recently received a bill from them charging me for days that I "owed" after I had already officially moved out of the apartment. Along with the incorrect bill they included the "lost" move-out notice with a different move-out date. Additionally, the "lost" move-out notice was not signed by management. Unfortunately, this is not the first time they charged me incorrect fees. I know how tempting it is to move into this place but I honestly recommend paying an extra $100 to $200 a month to live under better management. There's no reason to bother with the stress incurred living in this neighborhood, why else would only 13% of residents recommend living here? Hope this review is helpful, best of luck to you all in the apartment search!
