Would never recommend this apartment complex to anyone. Don't sign a lease here!! I have many complaints with this complex. Issue 1: Last year shots were fired in the complex & police were called. I called Hillmeade to ask why a complex wide email was not sent out to notify residents of the incident & forwarded the news article to them. Hillmeade never notified residents. Issue 2: the front gate has maybe worked two times in the 11 months we have lived here. Issue 3: residents are charged a high dumpster fee monthly for a dumpster that is used by non residence all the time & constantly surrounded by trash. Issue 4: we live in one of the premier apartments & it does look nice but we've had multiple problems with the popcorn ceiling falling down in sections & there are many soft spots that sink under the vinyl flooring that you feel when walking around that's concerning. Issue 5: water was shut off for 3 days in Nov. 2022 - residences rent was not compensated even though we couldn't stay in our apartments because we were told that a water main break is considered an Act of God which is incorrect. An Act of God is a tornado, hurricane, hailstorm, etc. Issue 6: the water line in our master bathroom busted & caused our bathroom to flood. The flooring was ripped up & toilet disconnected - it has been 3 weeks & our bathroom has not been touched or worked on by maintenance. We have asked for clarity on when it will be fixed with no response. And our rent will not be compensated although we are paying a ridiculous amount of money for a 2bed/2bath apartment. Issue 7: management is terrible. They can never be reached by phone, don't return calls, & I have stopped by during office hours to a sign that says they are closed. If you're looking for a great apartment complex in the Bellevue area I highly recommend The Lakes Bellevue - staff, amenities, and apartments are wonderful!! We would've stayed if they had a 2 bedroom available when we were looking last year.
