Overall, I would say my stay here was satisfactory. Wasn't great, wasn't terrible. I will break it down below: The good: Love the layout of the dogwood apartments. Nice and open, spacious, great kitchen, big rooms. Like that the community has plenty of trees, which provide shade and a nice feel. The pool was a very nice feature to have. Gym was useful during the winter. The optional garage was very helpful when I needed it. Maintenance was always very quick in their responses, sometimes I would get him over the same day. The location in Bellevue is great, you can just about walk to Kroger, restaurants, liquor stores, etc. complex is sort of nestled on a hill, looks nice. Super close to Percy Warner park, which is the main reason I even knew to look in this area. The not so good: so many fees. Pet deposit (non refundable) pet rent per pet and a 2 pet limit. They charge you for a parking pass (15 dollars), which doesn't guarantee you a spot. I think maybe now they make you have at least one reserved spot per apartment, which is 45. Don't quote me on this, but we always had one. You pretty much are forced to pay 50 for the Luxor package locker as soon as a piece of mail gets delivered there (if you order from Amazon, it will most likely go there) and we were not told about this at signing. On the utilities we paid 20 for trash valet, and a second trash fee that was around 15 dollars.... water and sewer seemed really high. My utility bill was typically around 130 dollars aside from power. For an apartment that was around 1600 base price, I ended up paying almost 2,000 per month after all the fees. Most of it, you know about, but it's still quite a bit and feel like they can do away with some of it. Other than the high cost and fees, the apartments are pretty poorly insulated. We had noise issues with and from neighbors, not much we could do about it. They charged me 160 or 170 for a professional clean, mandatory for COVID. I've never been forced to pay a cleaning bill for any apartment, unless I left it dirty. Feel like they should've picked up the bill on that after making almost 20,000 dollars from me in a year. Overall, this place is not perfect, but it's not terrible either. Management seems to really try to improve things for the community, and from previous reviews I think they have gotten better. I would recommend this place to anyone working in or close to Bellevue, Charlotte pike, if you can afford it. I worked in Franklin and it was a 30 minute drive. Just be aware that it's not perfect and you will have some gripes, but that's about any apartment.
