I wish I could give this apartment no stars. My husband and I lived here for over a year. During this time the gate worked for two weeks total. The gym door does not lock, a man once came into the gym and filmed me while exercising. The leasing office never responded to my email about this issue... probably because they are a revolving door when it comes to keeping employees. You can never get anyone on the phone, don't expect to get a voicemail returned either. On one occasion I was literally locked inside my apartment. The door broke and I could not get out. We called the emergency maintenance line yet didn't receive help for almost two hours. This occurred during open leasing office hours. I had to call the leasing office 13 times before they answered their phone. Once I finally got someone on the phone it was another 45 minutes before anyone could get me out due to the office staff and the "emergency maintenance line" not considering my situation to be urgent. Good thing the place didn't catch on fire! This apartment claims to be luxury, but it is anything but. The Luxer package room door broke and my package was stuck inside. Maintenance managed to pry open the door, but the Luxer system didn't not register that the package was removed. I was charge $30 in late fees due to a broken machine. I contacted the leasing office, they did nothing. I contacted Luxer and they never resolved the issue either. The worst of it came in the last few months we lived there. Our apartment was infested with brown recluse spiders. Hillmeade did not seem to find this to be a problem. In the course of a month we found over 17 Brown recluse in our apartment. We were told exterminators were coming to our apartment to spray for these poisonous spiders... on four different occasions they exterminators never came. We moved all our furniture away from the walls, emptied closets and cabinets, and paid for doggy day care so they could spray and they never came. We also had no air conditioning in June! They didn't fix our A/C for us because in "one week's" time we were supposed to receive a new unit. It took two weeks for that unit to arrive. We were never offered a discount on our rent for these awful living conditions. This apartment cares only about filling vacant apartments, not their residents. If after reading this review you still are planning to move here, please whatever you do, do NOT move into unit #3009. The exterminator himself told me there is no way to get rid of the spiders unless the building was destroyed. Stay away.
