I moved into Mariners Cove in the middle of June. When I viewed some of the units, Anthony informed me that 7C - the one I intended to rent - had a $500 discount off the first full month's rent in July. I called four separate times and was even told "not to worry about it" by Anthony. That management would "take care of me" and apply the discount to my rent as had been agreed to. I followed up several times and each time I was put on hold or told I'd receive a call back. This has never happened and now my account is showing as late, including a $100 late fee. I thought I had fallen through the cracks or maybe the management team is busy - until I saw the same type of shady dealings in a couple of reviews on Yelp. Below is the contents of the email I just received: -------------------------------- Hello, This is just a quick notice to follow up on the demand that was delivered to you. On 7/11/17 we will have to begin the legal process which will incur additional fees to your account and begin the eviction process. Please make your payment in full today to avoid those additional fees and bring your account current. You can reach us at 866.286.0875 if you have any questions. Thank you, have a great day! I believe they are intentionally "stealing" this money from tenants and using the threat of eviction as a way to continue stealing. I have never been so disappointed. I wish I had read the rest of the reviews here to see what kind of shady people I was dealing with before I signed anything.
