Upon moving in everything seemed decent. I called the first day about the A/C not working only to find out that it didn't come with A/C, seems to be a trend near the coast. We quickly learned the laundry facility was quite filthy and stayed that way for a year and a half. We called when we first moved in to ask them to repaint the parking lines. It seemed a reasonable request since we were paying for parking and it wasn't like we had a guaranteed spot. A year and a half and the lines were still never repainted after several request. The gate was broken at least half the time we lived there for various reasons. We constantly had problems with neighbors. Everything from loud music to drug dealing, gas syphoning, inconsiderate pet owners, and people parking in more than one spot to give themself extra space. The first problem was the fact that it was approved for low income housing which meant we payed 1650 for an apartment when others payed 400 for the same apartment, unfortunately lower income means lower quality of people. We even learned that our neighbor next to us was broken into through the front door and the management said it wasn't there concern. Not to mention homeless people digging through the dumpsters which could have been avoided had the gates worked. I understand that management can't control how neighbors treat each other, but it was the attitude of the management seeming like they don't care and that they were annoyed that we were even bothering them with the problem. Towards the end the parking problems became worse when they made reserved parking for carports only, which is tough for people with large vehicles. There were several carports not reserved by tenants and were unavailable to anyone else making open parking even tighter. To top it all off they allowed people with reserved spots to park in open parking saying they can park wherever they want and making parking worse even still. All of the tenants concerns with parking were ignored and we were told that it would get better when they started towing, but that never happened. We drove around for long periods of time to find a spot in the whole complex, let alone near our building, 45 minutes one night. The only reason this complex even gets a star is because maintenance was friendly and helpful and our move out inspection went smooth and quickly, but that was also because of maintenance. Stay away unless you are approved for low income housing, because then you can live in an expensive complex for a quarter of the price.
