I had a frustrating early experience with this community. I've always paid my rent on time, but I encountered issues when I closed my old checking account and updated my payment information. After trying to pay rent for the following month, I received a notice that the payment was returned. I called customer service, explained the situation, and clarified that I had sufficient funds and rent was simply charged to the wrong account on file. Despite my explanation, the customer service team charged me additional fees and only allowed me to pay with a credit card, incurring further charges. They offered an unreasonable explanation for their inability to help balance or reset the payment, and were unhelpful with enrolling me in auto-pay. This poor experience has left a bad impression and taste, and I will not be renewing my lease here.
