Everything is wrong with this apartment complex. My partner just moved out of it, and I just moved in, both apartments are absolutely atrocious. Her apartment was disgusting, filled with mice that came from the walls, millipedes and ants came through the drains, and the tons of spiders that accumulate on a daily basis. The door to the building had no lock, and the mailbox didn't even close correctly. Parking is a nightmare because no one can only ever take 1 parallel spot. Your electric service is through National Grid, which is 10x more expensive than it should be. Royal Crest also charged my partner with a $50 "vacant fees" at the end of her time there, as well as an extra $215 for reasons we're still trying to figure out. In my apartment, the sinks leak, the kitchen sink doesn't turn off half the time, and the garbage disposal is shotty at best. The hallways in both of the buildings smell like mold and mildew, and the neighbor's kids ring your door alarm at all hours bc they're too young to have keys (meaning they shouldn't be alone to be outside? They're like 5 years old). Neighbors also complain way too much about the Merrimack Students when said neighbors are really the ones making the place worse.
