The new owners have raised lease prices while simultaneously decreasing the quality of living. Elevators are constantly broken, no more holiday parties, the complimentary bikes are falling apart, and the new cleaning staff (with the exception of one friendly, hardworking woman) are unfriendly and lazy. There is no sense of community here since AIR Communities took over. Southgate claims to be "luxury" but the environment doesn't match. It's no wonder most of the residents moved out whose renewals have come up since new ownership took over. Unless things change drastically, there's a high probability we will not be renewing in August.
