Patelco Bank has experienced a Ransomware attack which has caused me to be unable to pay rent from my bank account. I emailed Paul Frazell, the community manager at the beginning of the month after waiting days for Patelco to restore access. I thought that a year of faithful rent payments and a 2 year extension of my lease would mean that The Bluffs would be willing to work with all tenants affected by this bank issue. I didn't receive a response to my email nor have I received a response to many emails about service needed. I have never in my life been late on a rent payment and I've never been served a notice like the one I received today. So after a year of living here I can tell you: 1. They clearly aren't compassionate. 2. They attempt to hike up the rent 7-9% every year you're here. 3. Maintenance is not the best and it takes you begging and pleading for help to get it. This is mainly the fault of the company (Mario and Greg are great but overworked and spread extremely thin). The maintenance is responsible for 3 properties and they tend to so many tenants it's impossible to get timely service (even on issues such as heaters not working & Pacifica is cold so that can be devastating). There's so many other issues as well but the fact that they can't even give faithful tenants some compassion is my breaking point.
