When I moved into my apartment it had a major roach issue which took almost a full month before they were able to clear it up. I'm talking roaches in my cabinets and on my plates and cups every single morning. Lived there for a year and my lease recently ended so I moved out. The Sterling offered cleaning services for a whopping $150 which I declined and decided to have my own cleaner for the apartment at move out. Apartment was spotless and passed inspection and everything and I was told I was good to go and could leave and would get my security deposit back. Now I'm getting my security deposit back and The Sterling is charging me a $150 cleaning fee. Of course emails to both the concierge and management (Jay Mattingly) have gone unresponded to now after multiple attempts over the last 2 weeks. This is an absolutely outrageous racket. All the other reviews about the elevators always being down (sometimes 2 or 3 at a time out of the 4 for weeks on end) and the constant false fire alarms Pre Pandemic are all true. Now with the pandemic every amenity is shut down yet you pay for everything in your rent and of course they steal money from you as well on the back end with no recourse or acknowledgment of communications. Make the wise decision and choose a different building
