We lived 3 years in the Yatch Club. At the beginning we liked this place, but several things changed during this time, none of them for good... - Across the street, Panorama began the construction of the tallest skyscraper in Miami (80 stories). The noise is a nightmare. - Residents: this is a loud community, with many residents often partying on terraces or by the pool. Some other examples: * our neighbor was noisy every night until 1 or 2am (and sometimes even later). * some friends had to call the police because there was a party in the contiguous apartment * a friend living in the building was hit by another resident * lit cigarettes were thrown from upper terraces, ending up in our terrace below * smell of marijuana in several aisles * a resident threw a beer bottle from the 20th story when we were entering the building (the bottle fell 10 feet away from us, and the resident only received a "warning") - Staff: this was one of the main strengths of this building, but it was sad to see them go one by one in the last year - Price: expect an increase in your rent every year, independently of market prices; in fact, that was one of the triggers that make us explore other possibilities, and finally we moved to a bigger apartment in the Skyline (a newer and much better building) for the same price What other reviewers note is 100% true: - elevators: you have to wait a long time for them, as rarely do all four elevators work at the same time - pool: only gets sun until noon, since the new 80-stories building in front will hide the afternoon sun - garage: cars get dirty in there - air conditioning: they are always doing repairs to the cooling tower - security: you can walk in into the building or enter the garage with your car and no one will stop you - move-out experience: we were charged a cleaning fee, even though we returned the apartment in perfect conditions (the argument is that we were supposed to hire a professional cleaner); also, they charged some move-out fees we didn't understand. So expect to lose a good part of your deposit
