DISASTER. I've lived in apartment buildings in NYC and DC since 1999 and never missed rent and I'm quiet and have always had wonderful things to say about nearly every location. HOWEVER this establishment has mismanaged my lease from the first day on to the last. They are lucky the front desk pulls the weight of the good reviews because the folks in the leasing office from management to even the leasing agents are sneaky, unresponsive and honestly even disrespectful once you're a tenant. I've never seen such top down management issues that directly translate into problems with lower level leasing agents. Day 1 apartment not cleaned and the carpet cleaning company finally shows the day after move in and I was given the wrong keys and told to park in the office parking lot while the find time to issue me a spot permanent. That parking permit location was never issued throughout months of my entire lease. Rent was but calculated accurately and I had to call in multiple times to get that adjusted. The grand finale was my move out. I was told in writing that if I left early I would be forgiven the 2 month rent penalty IF they found an immediate occupancy after the end of my move out date which is a huge financial gift. With that in mind I moved out, they had a new tenant moving right in and then they said "we never wrote that or said that" and stuck me with a mega payment for two months. Management won't respond to my letters calling them out and I'm left in the dark. On top of that I get calls for apartment problems after not even living there for months. This is a Top down management and failure to train employees that will ultimately land them the worst review I've ever written. I hope the Vaughan Place feels how they treated me was worth it with this 1 star review. Rent is cheap but I'd pay more across the street in a second if I knew. Good luck.
