** Updated just 1 day later!!!! (What a shocker) **: My AC has been broken for the past 30 hours, stuck at 82 degrees and NO ONE IS HELPING ME. I have called the front desk over 10 times, talked to FIVE different employees over a span of 15 HOURS and NO ONE CAN GET IN TOUCH WITH MAINTENANCE. IS THIS A FREAKING JOKE?! I put in 1 work order online that went unanswered for 5 hours, so I then proceeded to put 3 more in just in case they classify the importance of each request differently. 30 hours later, no response from anyone. 1) don't claim that the property has 24 maintenance because that's a darn LIE! One of the front desk people was SLURRING THEIR WORDS yesterday evening when I called-- sounded high and asked me the same question 3 times. So freaking incompetent. After my 9th call (just now) to the leasing office to see an update on where maintenance can POSSIBLY be, the front desk man GOT SNAPPY WITH ME, said "this could cost me my job but here you freaking go" AND HUNG UP. I'm SORRY SIR that I'm sitting in an 86* apartment and paying over $2500/month for this BS apartment with no AC while you're sitting doing NOTHING in the lobby with air conditioning. No one could get ahold of maintenance but when I called them myself someone answered???? (He gave me attitude too, for the record, and shut the phone quickly). Such a freaking joke. I'm stuck here for 17 more months and I can't even fathom what else will happen. So useless I can't even describe. -- Leasing office employees & management are the most useless I have ever come across in the entire DMV area. Before, during, and after moving in, none of my calls or emails were/are ever replied to or returned. I have visited the leasing office multiple times to get various issues resolved, most notably being inaccurate charges billed to my account or even putting my name on the wrong (someone else's) lease!! I was never given an overview of where to find the parking entrances, mailboxes, etc. when I moved in, and I was told to call and make an appointment to do so. When I asked for the leasing agent to just tell me where the mailbox is, she didn't even know what/where to tell me. New management is just as bad as the last one and they definitely don't care about their residents! The lack of knowledge can be overlooked, however, but what can't be overlooked is the lack of effort put in with the leasing office when it comes to returning phone calls and emails. Most emails I've sent to them have been important, but they always tell me their "swamped and to come back later when xyz employee is in the office to help me" when I've confronted them with the same issues verbally in the office. It seems like leasing office employees come and go as they please, and I've called multiple times with no answer when it's clearly working hours. It's going to be a long long looong lease term but hopefully it gets better!!!! I just try to interact as little as possible with the leasing office and management but when I do, it's important things that just don't get addressed!!
