Remi T.

I moved in this place November 2023 and I'm going to tell you why your money will go longer elsewhere. HORRIBLE LEASING EXPERIENCE: I initially had an issue with this place during move in because they gave me the wrong apartment, then forced me to keep it and told me I can "transfer whenever I want." The leasing consultant initially made the error, then the Property Manager Brian told me he was correcting the error when in fact he gave me the wrong apartment. When I flagged this for them and told them I don't want the unit, I had already signed the lease. They asked that I give them the weekend to work out a solution and to work with the "other supposed tenant" who rented the apartment I wanted. However, THERE WAS NO OTHER TENANT AND THE APARTMENT I WANTED REMAINED VACANT FOR MONTHS. They are liars and don't do good business period. LACK OF SECURITY/SAFETY. As you know, we are in the District of Columbia. To keep it short and sweet, the property assumes the location will give them a "pass" on crime. There is no way to even catch these people committing crime because THERE IS A LACK OF SECURITY CAMERAS THROUGHOUT THE PROPERTY. And sad to say, it will take something horrible happening for them to put them in place. My car was hit in the parking lot and when I asked them if there was security camera footage I could send my insurance they informed me the parking lot has no cameras. The parking lot....in DC....where car theft is rampant....has no cameras. Just let that sink in. people have gotten their vehicles stolen and their tires stolen off of their cars. BUGS. This place has bugs everywhere period. If you walk anywhere at night, you will see a plethora of roaches, water bugs, and for a better way of putting it HUGE BLACK/BROWN BUGS scatter everywhere outside all night and it is disgusting. Literally will make your skin crawl. If you have a dog and walk them 3 times a day, you will get at least 5-10 mosquitos bites before making it back to your apartment. This place needs to get mosquito treatment that I've experienced at other complexes as it takes a lot of the joy out of walking your dogs. RENOVATIONS. They are beautiful in the photos online but a lot of the work is shotty up-close. STAFF. The leasing consultant who initially screwed up my move in is gone. The leasing manager is still here. And Sonia Anzar, the Regional Property Manager, is useless and aided in the initial fraud of a lease they forced me to honor and never did a single thing to mitigate the mistake her staff made. The only competent person in that office is Alexis Frederick. MAINTENANCE/GOOGLE REVIEWS. Don't let these five star reviews fool you. After you get maintenance done, they ask you to review the tech but it directs you to the google reviews LOL. Its literally a ploy to get their google review up. As far as the maintenance, to this point, they haven't given me any issues except for not being able to fix the door of my building for days on end but that goes back to the lack of security/safety. I literally only moved here because of the closet space and the location proximity to my job. But this place affects my day-to-day joy. I hate it here and can't wait to move.
