Luxury Apartments? More like Section 8 housing. I've had a better experience renting in Aurora paying 3 times less than here. Formally Canterwood, a new company purchased the complex late 2015, Resource Residential. Before the takeover the management and staff were very likable, personable and stayed out of your hair. After the takeover the staff was never replaced luckily...but the entire vibe has changed, they have become somewhat abrasive and all about business no relationship. To foreshadow I work from home for a company that ranks #5 in the Fortune 500 list. I deal with a lot of confidential information and conduct global meetings throughout the day/night. The complex has known this prior to me signing a lease. My personal experiences: - Over the past 6 months someone has entered my apartment 1-2 times for miscellaneous things. Each time the short notice discloses that you cannot reschedule these visits and will be done whether you are at home or not. When these visits occur I have to completely halt my work and put models away. Super embarrassing when its during a virtual video session of 70+ people. This declassifies my home office and prevents me from having clearance to access certain info. I currently move out in 5 weeks and they want to come do a walkthrough and measure cabinets tomorrow for renovation. The rental office is not willing to accommodate or work with me on this issue. - Since the new takeover there have been renovations and noise everywhere. Wood, paint is being reworked. We were asked to remove all patio furniture for pressure washing, construction workers blasting music and to trump it all the gym was relocated out of its detached building and under my unit without notice. The gym under me has hardwood floors and has nothing to suppress sound. Elliptical and treadmill sounds in the living room, weights in my bed room and yoga in the other bed room. All this noise shoots up disturbing me all day not to mention the increased foot traffic to my building causing constant open/closing doors. When I brought this to the rental office their offering was to come inside my unit to observe. Seriously? Where in my lease did I agree to living above a gym? Why do I need to justify this? I personally hate conflict and have a high tolerance and understanding to most things but for $1850+ I refuse to be treated like this. All of the reasons I choose to rent from this place has changed for the worse. I work hard as hell for my money and have ensured you've received it on time for all 14 months I've been here and now I have to sit and beg for your understanding and to see things my way? GTFO. I considered renewing my lease and moving into the newly renovated units but I've completely made my mind now. If you didn't bother to read everything above. Read this. My living experience vs the other residents are unfair. With both my work and living being interrupted the way it is lately, I should receive a discount towards my rent. Those looking to rent here should scratch this place off your list.
