Lived here for two years, and like other reviews here, I had a terrible experience trying to renew so I am moving on. The complex is decent, quiet and close to restaurants and markets. I could do without the smell of dog urine though, especially in the summer. After two years, the rent went up significantly so I tried to move to a smaller unit. You are pretty much on your own. You are essentially trying to rent like a new tenant. Very poor communication. *Since my original review something else happened that just underscored management's lack of communication. There was a resident who was clearly having a mental episode. For two days, he was roaming around the complex, yelling belligerently at no one in particular, banging pots and pans at 5 am. It was clear that he was agitated, yelling obscenities and fighting with an imaginary person. ABSOLUTELY NO COMMUNICATION FROM MANAGEMENT. I emailed and called management, finally they responded. Long story short, this is a direct quote from Andy Tanner, the manager who btw manages two large complexes so they don't even have a full time manager for this location, "we do not provide safety to any resident." I wasn't asking for protection, I was asking them to communicate with residents about the potentially dangerous situation. Anyway moving on. No one is asking you to violate privacy, but there was a disturbed individual walking around the complex, holding a water toy guy and banging pots and pans at 5 am. You can't let residents know that. you are handling it??? And you can say all you want that there is AM on site. Walk by the office on any given day, I guarantee you the office is empty.
