I and my wife lived at Yorktown apartments for exactly 1 year. We had a good view and fairly decent space for the two of us. We were in a corner apartment on a high up floor - so lots of light and really airy was how I would describe the apartment. The facilities were decent, but for the rent you ought to expect better. We also paid for 2 parking spots in the garage, so parking for us was never an issue. If you have guests, then good luck letting them in and telling them where to park, then leaving a tag on the car so that they don't tow it away! One good thing (YMMV) is that the heating and cooling bills were very low for us - because the building HVAC keeps two sides of the apartment at good temperatures. Of course, you pay for it in your miscellaneous fees every month - common electricity, water, gas etc. But, even then - no surprises, no large variations in utility bills. Overall, I liked the property. Now, the bad part of the whole place - the staff. Either they are rude or inconsistent or are happy not to help. If ever we owe them any money, they can send you emails, call you, send you postal mail to get money from you. However, if they ever owed you any money, good luck with getting that. You will need to call several times, get bounced around to different people before any progress is made. I just felt that there is a lack of ownership or there is no customer service attitude in the front desk staff. All they cared for was rent more and get their bonuses. I have seen better. So if you can ignore the crappy staff and slightly on the higher side rent, this is definitely a good place to rent in a very convenient location. However if you are the kind who will get worked up by people and their behavior, look elsewhere!
