Reviews for City Center on 7th
They have bad service in the office, people who never solve any problem; The areas are in poor condition and very little is cleaned, the garbage lives scattered in the container, things are stolen from your yard, windows break from your car, your tires are stolen and they are not responsible for anything at all, they always have an absurd response. For them to get rid of all charges and to top it off there is never any parking and if you park wrong they are not responsible. I do not recommend it at all. They have bad attention in the office the people who are never solve any problem; the areas are in poor condition and very little is cleaned trash lives irrigated in the container, things are stolen from your yard part of your car glass steal your tires and are not responsible for anything at all always have an absurd response for them to get rid of all charges and to complete there is never parking and if you park badly they are not responsible... I do not recommend the absolute
this community isn't what it poses to be the problem is the staff in the office and their communication . Don't move here . read the bad reviews every one is absolutely true. even Places that cost less give you better service and value you as a resident .
I have been in a back and forth battle with this complex for almost a month now and it has been the worst experience. I am moving to Florida out of state and visited this complex the first week of May. It looked nice and despite the long list of bad reviews I thought I'd give it a try. Honestly the only good thing I've experienced so far is Larron. He has been extremely helpful through the terrible ordeal. After I applied and put down the deposit ($750) it was down hill from there. After a lot of back and forth and a few misunderstandings, I decided it was too much and moved on to another complex. Here is where the fun starts. Per their agreement, if you are declined or choose to decline you get your $750 deposit back. It has been WEEKS with my only response being "you'll get it back in five days". I try calling. No answer. Email? Nope. Leaving a voice-mail? Radio silence. I'm at a point now where I'm wondering if this whole thing is a scam and if I should get legal lnvolved. Long story short, just drive by. UPDATE: Dear Susan, take the accent off of my name when you search me. Don't worry I'm there. And still waiting for the refund.
Terrible. Been living here for 4 years and I can't wait until I buy my home. Only reason I haven't moved yet is because of the trouble of moving itself and my children. Apartments are nice but roaches are literally everywhere!!! Parking is horrible and you can't have guests over after a certain time. If I pay over $2,000 in rent A MONTH, I should be able to invite whoever the hell over at whatever the hell time. Walls are extremely thin and you can hear everything that goes on next door. I hope they burn these buildings down in the future.
Is a beautiful community with a terrible management. The halls are always dirty... Can't wait to move out. the gate is always damaged
If you love being not having guest parking for overnight visitors and being hit with $250 trash violation fees for putting you trash out on the wrong day, then move here; you'll love it. This owner is more concerned with plucking money from your pockets than making their property a comfortable homeplace to live. It magical how they can created a new rule mid-lease and start fining residents $250 dollars for putting trash out on the wrong day but can't solve giving residents overnight parking privileges. Just be cautious, this owner is highly predatory. I would suggest you not move here.
FYI: Zero stars. When I was living there, the service was very slow. It's been 60 days since I've moved out and they haven't refunded me my security deposit yet. I've tried to talk to the manager in charg, Dennis Davila, but it's impossible to get a hold of him in site or on the phone. I've been waiting for him to reply me with a solution over email for a week now. I'm very disappointed. Update 9/6: They keep saying they will solve the problem but keep disappearing on me. No one seems to care. No one returns my phone calls or emails.
I have been living here for 3 months! And it turns out that after the second month they want to charge me extra fees! My rent is 3220 and with the fees that they never told me it goes for 3470, they are abusers!
This complex hides the ball. Everything looks nice and acceptable and then after you sign your lease you find out the complex has an extreme parking shortage. There is no way the complex doesn't know about it. This should be disclosed to potential tenants before signing a lease. Sometimes you can't find anything remotely close to your apt. However we pay to register our cars for parking spaces as if there are any we can use at night. It is commonplace for there to be parking on the side of the street. If you forget to move your vehicle fast enough in the morning you will be towed at your own complex. This is infuriating. This should be disclosed to potential residents before signing a lease so they are aware of the area they are choosing to live. Parking is usually not a major concern when picking an apt but now I realize it should be.
Please I'm begging you do not move here. There is no guest parking. You can't have a party, gathering or guests at your luxury apartment that costs $3000+. They start towing cars at 10pm. I had a Christmas gift exchange with family & friends and when I went to walk my guests out around 1am all of their cars were towed. I was humiliated. The management company has been lying for over 6 months about security. Anyone can drive through the gate. These apartments are filled with roaches and stray cats. I can't wait to move. The mailroom stinks. You can't use ANY of the amenities except for the cheap gym. They've literally been painting for what seems like years. Rent drastically increased. Do not move here.
My experience in this place is very bad, they play with people's time, they don't speak the truth to you, they don't have professionalism, none of them first say one thing and then they come up with another, they deceive you, they are disrespectful, they don't speak clearly to you, they ask you for a fund. They go through the credit and after they tell you that you were accepted and you pay them then they ask you for more money that is not done things are spoken clearly from the beginning they are disrespectful they play with people
The rent rises every month, the corner where I live has 1000 spiderwebs, I have to fight through them to get down the stairs. The elevator smells like wet dog. Theirs no light at the back stair case where I have to walk by to get to my apartment. I don't feel safe after getting a notice on my door from the leasing office stating "be safe and look out for burglary since there has been cases reported". It's a free show everyone can drive into our complex theirs no security and they charge you a $500 fee up front. I've complained about the spiderwebs and light and nothing has been done, poor service. Horrible parking. Can't wait to my lease is over. Don't believe the hype. P.S. Korey Rogers said it BEST "Hood in disguise"
The new management has no care for their residents. I had an issue paying rent and they made it clear that it was not their problem.
If I could give this community 0 stars, I would. I've been living here for fairly 1 year now. 0/10. I moved here because a few years ago I had a friend that lived in this complex and the units were well kept & the management was under control. It wasn't brought to my attention that the management of these apartments have actually been changed a FEW times, and I want to say, Marc Mompremier is the only person in that office that cares about anything regarding the residents. However, so much can be put on one person. The office never answers the phone, So if you're a 9-5 person who works 20 mins away & have to get through traffic, tough luck, you will never find information after 6pm. The parking is INSANE. they just came out with a new policy where they suggest you pay $80 a month for your own personal parking spot, after already having over $500 in hidden fees added on top of your rent PLUS already paying $40 a month for parking. You're paying over $2,000 in rent and you don't even have ONE designated parking spot it's like these people expect you NOT to have a vehicle. This place is a scam. I had a mold infestation in my unit, and it states in the leasing contract that they must move me into a new unit until remediation is complete. The leasing manager Marianna told me there were "no units available" even though there were 3 vacant units IN MY BUILDING. I had to get myself a hotel and wait for them to reimburse me. I'm working double shifts everyday just to have enough to break my lease and get out of here. Please I beg you. I understand moving may be hectic and sometimes people can get desperate. DO NOT MOVE HERE! It will come back to bite you in the end, and you'll find yourself in a bigger financial bind than before you got here.
I currently live here. HORRIBLE PLACE!!!! They tow resident cars for parking alongside the curb, but, there is a extreme lack of parking. You must sometimes park outside off the community, across the canal, which is approx. a quarter of a mile away. Imagine one time around a standard track. They charge you for trash disposal fees even though you take your own trash to the dumpster. They also implement a $60.00 pest control fee, while most other properties/communities provide this as a free service. We were duked by the beauty. Also by the setup of the viewing model. It seems like a great place... But, it's not. Signed, someone who can't wait to vacate this place.
Parking is ridiculous, you pay all of this money to live and can't find parking, with the possibility of getting your car towed because you park on the curve. One of the worst complexes to live in! If I would've listened to all the reviews before moving in, I'd be living somewhere better. The reviews are no lies, all true!
My wife and I moved here over a year ago, and have regret it ever since. The parking situation here is horrible they don't have assigned parking spots, so you are forced to park far away from your unit. We have two cars, both registered with management and pay over $50 a month for parking, yet they still towed one of our cars for no reason, and refused to refund me the tow fee. The apartment complex is not secure at all. the Front and back gate is left open half the time and all kinds of people are able to enter the complex and take up some of the very limited parking spots. We have had several packages stolen from our front door. We have had water leaking from our ceiling 3-4 times now, and I kid you not the people management sends to fix it have done so with duct tape, probably why they keep coming back to fix the same problem. Management claim's this is a smoke free community however people are always smoking marijuana in the parking lot or on their balcony's. We have reported all this to management however they don't care at all. The woman who works in the leasing office is beyond awful at her job, she would be better suited as a Walmart greeter. If you are looking to move here I suggest YOU LOOK ELSEWHERE!
If you're looking to move in a place where the security gates are always broken, parking is nonexistent, and no one ever calls and emails you back when you have questions or concerns step right up, this is the perfect place for you! On 10/30, I came home late, and there was no parking available ANYWHERE. *Please note that I paid $50 for a parking decal, but still, any and every nonregistered car can park here with no restrictions.* So I parked in an unleveled gravel parking space and came out the next day, and my tire was burst due to the rocky pavement. I had to call a tow company and pay to get the tire replaced. I emailed Carlos Caribello, the community manager, about the situation, and he told me that he would follow up with me, and he never did. Fast forward to last night, I came home at approx. midnight and I circled the entire complex seven times for a parking spot, curb, etc.. to park and OF COURSE, there was no parking available. So I parked on the curb closest to my complex because it was my ONLY option. To my surprise, I came downstairs this morning and my car was towed (not the dozens of unregistered cars parked here, but mine). I had to pay 200 to get my car back. I went to the leasing office immediately after and spoke with Jennifer about my situation. She assured me that I would get a call from someone about this inconvenience, and I waited all day and received nothing. So please, learn from my mistakes and do not move here.
The parking is ridiculous! My parents have been staying here unfortunately for 3 years and each year it seems to get worst. A few months ago my mom's SUV was towed because it was "within the range of the fire hydrant" however we had pictures to prove that it was not but still there was no form of compensation. When we showed the towing company whom agreed that the vehicle was not on the line of the fire hydrant they told us to show it to the persons in the office they would have to compensate us. However that was useless.
DO NOT move here i thought i was moving to a gated community anyone pulls in here via the broken exit gate and they don't want to acknowledge it needing to fix it. it's dangerous if you're exiting and people are just entering thru it . it can cause an accident all because they are too cheap to fix it . Lazy staff never answers phones. i am ready to move already after just one month. they just want all your money not to even satisfy residents.
Bad place to live
If I could give 0 stars. I absolutely would, I've been a resident here for 5+ years and under the old management it was so much better. Clear communication, no bothersome rules, nice, kind, and very thoughtful. Under this new management, my experience has been horrible. They promised, promised, promised and consistently failed. I cannot express my frustrations with these people and I cannot wait to move out of here. You may see these new reviews and advising its good and that's because they most likely have a renovated apartment and do not see the disgust that is all around. Let me give you examples of when they failed to deliver Parking Spaces - They promised for SOOO long that we will get new parking spaces, things will be implemented so the parking isn't a disaster... You know what they did? Made reserved spots in the SAME parking lot and charge you for it Chill area - They knocked it all down, this place was great. People could come together, chill, sit down for a bit and then go about there way. They completed removed this and added a... Walkway? This wasn't smart, because you could literally WALK around Power outages - God forbid the wind blows hard, you will always have some sort of flickers that will turn off your plugged electronics. Rent increase - They have been constantly charging me so much more money with each new lease, cause they want to get rid of us and renovated so they can make more money. Roach infestation - For the last year and some change, the amount of ant/roach problem we've had has been absolutely absurd. We are clean people, we don't leave trash around, but if I am paying $3400 in rent.. I 100% expect to be in a place where it is roach free. Getting in contact with leasing office - Do I need to say more? You can't even call their number. No matter if its morning, afternoon. You. Will. Not. Get. Ahold. Of. Anybody. City center... Please get yourself together.
After 9 years of living in this place I can honestly tell you to please don't live here. This new property management is the worse and they don't care about you or your family they just care about collecting the money for these so called "luxury apartments". Let me start with the fact that before we left they started charging $40 dollars for unassigned parking lots, in which if I came after 10pm with my family we had to park in a curve far away from the apartment and having to risk our car getting scratch or getting your car tow. This parking lot was never charged in the past so if you are moving here don't fall in the trap because they just started doing that this year. They have around 10 people driving in golf carts but someway somehow the elevators are never clean, neither the hallways. There is trash in the floor and dirty water from the trash bags that never get clean, by this! the Trash attracts roaches which our apartment had a bunch of them. We made several requests to come to our apartment and fumigate and they will come days after and not even do a good job because our apartment still had roaches. The staff is not very attentive and they tend to be quite rude there are only 2 exception: (Roxana Cordoba and Marc Mompremier. They are very nice and polite) the property manager gave us his cellphone to be reached out if any problems and never answered. His name is Carlos Garibello and never spoke to him because he never had time to speak to us or to address any of our concerns of living in a very expensive apartment with very poor conditions. Julio Cesar Covas told us he was going to contact us before our move out and we are still waiting for him to contact us about the painting of the walls.I usually don't leave bad reviews but air communities are being managed from Colorado with people that has never been to Florida or even been in city center on the 7th, after this place being managed by like 4 different property management companies this one is the worse. I have one toddler and one 2 month old baby and I only started complaining once they took over because the parking lot issues, the nasty trash and elevators and the roaches in the apartments. You cannot be charging prices of luxury apartment when your service and your apartments don't reflect nothing about luxury. I ask you to please don't ever mention that you are a luxury complex cause you are NOT!
Where do I begin? This complex is slowly spiraling downhill. This complex in beautiful Pembroke Pines is looking like a neighborhood out of liberty city. There is trash everywhere, people pee in the hallways, and stairwells. Music is blasting and vibrating at all hours of the day, night, whenever ... nobody respects anything here. There is barely enough parking for actual residents and the gate is always broken so countless cars are taking up our spots. My car is full of scratches and dents because nobody cares!!! People park on two spots...It's absolutely ridiculous to pay $2000 for a 2/2 and live like you're in section 8. The hallways ALWAYS smell like weed and cigarettes. Neighbors do not care, they drop their trash, drop drinks, let their dogs poop and they smoke in elevators, so it's not pleasant to ride up with small children!! Don't even try to attempt crossing the street here, everyone drives at crazy crazy speeds, and they do not slow down!! The neighbors also like to gather up at the pool and smoke their weed and drink alcohol and have no care in the world about small children breathing it in!! Take your children and run away from this apartment complex!
The worst place to live. I can't wait till my lease is over. Have a big problem with parking. I come home after 7pm I can't find a parking space. Why can't we tow cars that doesn't live here it will probably give spaces to people that live here. I know you put signs on cars that is park on the curb after 10am which is a ok idea but some of the people live here and they can't find a parking space. Focus on the cars that don't live in the apartment building. I know it won't change. Also lastly, I call the front desk for residents and no one ever answers. They make me have to go up their instead of just calling.
A tenant client of mine toured City Center on 7th on April 14th and made application for a townhome in this community through their application portal. As part of the application the tenant submitted an application fee and the $750 security deposit for move-in. The lease was to start on 4/22. It has now been 11 days (4/25) and he has not heard back from this leasing company or the leasing agent. The tenant has called all corporate regional offices and left messages with no response. I have also sent 7 direct messages to the leasing agent who has not responded. His application still shows "in process". Be very wary of any deposit or application made to this company as they do not respond!~ The prospective tenant has just requested his credit card to dispute the charge to get his funds back.
Not good.
Although this property looks nice and my apartment as well, The management sucks. They call it a gated community but one if the gates has been broken for 7 months! Nothing was done for 5 months, they decided to fix it, and someone broke it again trying to get it. The residents leave they'd garbage in the hallway and there's trash everywhere. I DO NOT RECOMEND MOVING HERE. It is a ghetto.
Terrible resident service, never answer the phone. Takes forever for them to send someone to fix anything when they finally do answer. They also don't return calls. Parking is extremely difficult at night, not enough parking spots and towing is strictly enforced. Also have been towed by mistake because they're too busy to actually run the license plate. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
The worst place to live, the attention of the leasing office is terrible, they never answer the phone, the parking is a nightmare, you will never get an available spot after 9pm and if that were not enough I have two months waiting for my return deposit No one knows how to give me an answer about my case.
the worst place to live, the main thing is the parking if you have a car, probably will not have to park, people in the community just say, I'm sorry contruyeron bad, your bad attention, dirt and little real concern for the problems of their residents compared to its price is a star.
The attention in the offices is terrible. And they deceive people when they say they return the deposit and in the last month everything is taken away from them. Also be careful with what you sign and even worse if you don't understand English. They only tell you what is convenient for them but not everything the form says. We wanted the apt for one year and we said so but they made us sign the form for 2 years. They also charged more than what they initially cost. They never answer the phones and are very rude.
Listen to all one star reviews, I'm very unhappy with the new management, been living here for 5+ years and the past 2 years they have raised the rent ridiculously, they don't pay attention to complaints, there's a neighbor in my building that has a very loud alarm that goes off every single morning at 7am till 8am, for a full hour that alarm is going off and the management is doing nothing knowing dam well that other neighbors have also listened to it, but they're quick to charge you fees for EVERYTHING! They have doubled and created new fees out of nowhere! Very disappointed!
This place should do the world a favor and close its doors for good. I feel sorry for those of you that still live here. I have never in my life experienced a worse living situation. Even after I have moved out I'm still in this battle to receive my deposit back, I've moved out 3 months ago and still haven't gotten anywhere. everyone is unhelpful and doesn't care about you. If I don't receive some type of help soon they will definitely be hearing from my lawyer. If you know anyone looking for an apartment please do them a favor and advise them to stay far far far away from this horrid place. What a nightmare. Moving in here is definitely on my list of top worst decisions I've ever made.
****Save your money don't move here**** Where do I start I have been living here for 8 months it's been hell from no parking to the gates never working. To the rude ass stag that don't care who work in the office. Someone's unit is always getting broken into and I woke up 3 weeks ago to my car window being shattered because of a break in, Along with 20 other tenets mind you car insurance companies don't pay for replacements of side windows, this is madness I've decided it's not worth it I don't have s piece of mind and don't feel safe here so I'm breaking my lease and letting my sternly fight any fees this place is a hell hole.
I wish I could give these people less than 1 star.Absolutely hate it here to the point that we are about to pay a penalty to break our lease and move out just to get away. We've lived here for almost two years and this new company took over a few months ago. Since then it's been headache after headache. They enter your home without asking, even though there's notes on my account of an alarm they don't care and just go in. I've been home and not decent to let people in and they've walked in and I've had to yell to get the heck out-They come into the units all of the time and have no regard for Covid - WE ARE STILL IN A PANDEMIC and they want to enter your unit a few times a month for bs. They decided they want to paint the entire community- paint has landed on our cars more than once and they've had to send detailers to get it cleaned up and that scheduling in itself has been a huge inconvenience. Noise complaints? You'll have them and they won't do anything about it. Our neighbors have a 60lb dog barking at all hours of the day and night and nothing has been done. Additionally they use their surround sound for every single thing so basically we hear neighbors 24/7. I have a toddler who wakes up during naps and at night because of all of the noises and it's absolutely ridiculous that he can't sleep in peace. Lastly, we paid a premium to live in a corner unit by the lake. It was sold to us with a higher rent as it's a "more private unit"- well this new company decided to set up construction worker bathrooms right outside our unit obstructing our lake view and giving us... MORE NOISE. Absolutely terrible new owners- please rent elsewhere... this place is a joke.
I've been living here for over 2 years now. There no complaints about the apartment in general. However, I do think that tenants should have been informed about the parking situation. Horrible is an understatement. When I come home at night I have to circle around the entire community for 45 min to an hour, hoping to find a parking spot by some miracle or at least a curb to park my car. It happened to me countless times and it's not easy for me especially when i was pregnant and had to walk from the far end of the community to my apartment since it was the only parking spot that I found. Now I have 2 kids, under 3 years old, I have to go around the entire community just because it was the ONLY parking spot I found. It's ridiculous for me to pay for parking and not find any parking. Every time I leave the house, I have to consider the fact that I'm letting go of my parking spot and I know I won't find any when I come home with the kids. And if I found a small curb to park my car next to, I have to make sure not to forget to move my car in the morning so it doesn't get towed. They make these parking rules and enforce some while not others. The fact of the matter is, there is simply not enough parking for everyone in the community. So if you're thinking of moving here, just know that you might end up parking in the Publix plaza and then walking to your home.
The place where a neighbor steal your RUG because he got no money to buy his own, besides you can never buy something to deliver to your house because someone will steal it.
Please do not waste your time leasing any of these units. The management team never responds to emails or telephone calls, they are rude when you do get to talk to them in the office, they don't care about existing residents, they charge for parking even though there aren't assigned spaces, animal feces are all over the common area and let's not forget the constant noise from construction. I can go on and on about this place including the fact that the gate is always broken!! The prices are allegedly competitive based on market rates but these people are unconscionable as we are in the middle of an inflation and having to pay more but getting sub par homes and below par customer service. This place is not even worth the one star. Take heed
It seems that apartments make money from residents' car towing costs!! your friend's car can be towed in half an hour, so never think about bringing car in
Very disappointed. This property is brand new. That's the only good thing about it. There is virtually no maintenance plan or at least effort. The hallways always have debris, cups, paper- trash. Dust and dirt is noticeable. The gates are always broken, creating a security issue. This is where it gets tricky: instead of implementing a camera system to deter the vandals constantly breaking the gates, management decided to pay a towing company to boot and tow rent paying customers! There are no assigned spots or guest spots. They boot cars parked legally and cars parked sideways and on the street get no penalty. What was the point of giving new leasees key Phobs and even windshield stickers? Moral of the story: management is terrible! Yet let me clarify: the leasing office is going one direction (closer to a good resident experience ) but the resident office completed goes the other way. They need to be on the same page. Think twice about renting here. Bad bad review.
Dirty buildings, crime is up, the apts are broken into almost every other week.. Don't move in. Stay away... Experience not good, place is continually dirty in the buildings. Stained hallways and garbage everywhere. No one seems to care. The people who live here are just low class people. It is like the upper class hood, they look like thugs and there is the smell of weed everywhere. The people and the management don't seem to care about the property. ** The property is also broken into every other week. The police are constantly here!!!. Stay away...
I lived in this community for almost 4 years and leaving was the best decision I made. The most frustrating issue in this community is the lack of parking for the residents. It's an overpacked community with thousands of residents and very limited parking. If you get home past 9pm, you will most likely not find parking. The parking situation is so awful that it even limited me going out past 7pm. Their "fix" to the parking situation was charging residents a hefty monthly fee of $40 per vehicle on top of their already overpriced rent. Which brings me to my next complaint, the yearly renewal increases. My rent went up by over $500 the last time I renewed with all the new fees they've added to the community. They even charge you a monthly fee to have Amazon packages delivered to a locker that doesn't even work at times due to system issues, and no you can't request for Amazon or carriers to drop your packages at your door-front anymore. Another thing is the nasty hallways, stairways, and elevators in the community. On multiple occasions I have found dog feces and urine in those common areas and the elevator in my building. You can submit a service request for them to come clean but it will regularly take days for them to come clean it up. I have also encountered on many occasions roaches in the hallways, most likely due to the trash that certain residents pile out in the hallway on non-trash pickup days, which the office does not enforce strict rules on. Overall, a very terrible living experience at City Center; and I am happy I was able to move from here even though the move out costs were quite expensive with canceling the lease and I liked the overall location of the neighborhood. My best advice as a former resident is to do your research before moving to this neighborhood, and make sure it's the best option for you.
The units are filled with roaches and they aren't never any parking. The parking rules varies and does not apply to EVERY resident. There are hardly any places to park and your car will get booted or towed, on a regular.
Don't waste your time or money doing an application. "Management the worst,I ever seen".
Lived in these apartments for 3 years. The looks, pools, all of that are gorgeous, but a lot of problems. Parking was the biggest joke I have ever seen. If you work anything outside of an 8-5 GOOD LUCK. Even the curbs would be completely full. My brother's truck along with many other vehicles got broke into and nothing could be done because there were no cameras in this "gated community" which almost always had a gate open and it was basically a "well, sorry your vehicle got broke into." They don't enforce their rules like garbage cans and garbage as the halls would smell awful because others didn't "follow the rules." Also, when planning to move be sure to let them know even more advance than they give you. Got billed even though we had not even been properly informed about when we needed to let them know. Glad I'm out.
This place is terrible. They want there money but they take there time doing everything. The guy Eddy is rude and the rest of the staff is too. Pleasee don't waste your time moving here. The want to much and have to many rules. Don't let them lie to you. They boot people car just because they can.
FUTURE RENTERS PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE!! i have lived here going on three years, 2 years with the previous management and 1 year with this new, selfish, greedy money eating management... The only purpose this owner has is to drain unnecessary money from its' residents. He/she has implemented new fees/charges for things that are unbelievable.. How in the world are you charging a fee for residents to park their car where they live???? I am already paying to have a roof over my head and now i have to pay to park my car and on top of that there isn't enough parking for all residents. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!! extra fees already include valet trash, pest control, trash fines and so forth. what more do you guys want?? the previous management was never this selfish. The renovations and change of scenery to the community looks like trash and not worth the amount of rent that is being charged.. Roaches are infested within the buildings. Pest control comes multiple times and doesn't do jack.. After multiple bombings and spray roaches are still there. There are multiple empty units and constant moving trucks every week of people leaving this place, which I will be doing the same once my lease ends in a few months. Its ridiculous!! Future leasers, everything will sound amazing in the beginning and look beautiful when you first come. They have specific units they show you and make sure that area stays clean and you do not see anything wrong with the community but trust and believe its a fraud and you will see what this place really is and see how money hungry the management is. DON'T WALK,, RUNNN!!
Since the management of the condominium changed, the staff that works there are not friendly, they are apathetic people and they never solve anything, it seems that they were not comfortable working there, the garbage in the hallways is chaos, there was an exaggerated increase in the prices of rents and many more problems that they want to try to fix but cannot do so due to the apathy of the staff themselves or lack of management...
I don't know who said this place was 5 stars but the devil is a whole lie. My parents stayed here for a few years and I moved in during the pandemic. First, you can rarely get someone on the phone or in the leasing office. When you do it's rudeness. Secondly, when I got orders to go back into active duty the person handling the lease threatened to charge my parents a fee if I didn't sign another lease. I have military orders!!! Not like I had the option to stay. And threatening to charge my senior citizen parents? Who does business like this??? What is wrong with you people??
He came and He said that he didn't about to fix carpets only cleaning, so I still waiting for you guys to fix the carpet
Don't waste your time, there is limited parking for residents, maintenance takes forever to service the units but they are quick to charge and fined your account. They do not offer parking so u are charged an additional 100 for your vehicle besides the rent. Unprofessional staff too.
My friend and I just waited to tour for about 10-15 minutes. The guy working was with another potential resident and asked us to wait. No problem. When he was finished with her he stated that he wanted to ask another family what they needed and then he would be right with us. He then stated that he would attend to them first because they were "there first", though when we walked in, the office was empty. The gag is the family he was attending to just finished touring another apartment AFTER US. So they could've have been there before us. Hopefully this wasn't because they were all Spanish speaking, but that wasn't a good look.
When first moving here my wife and I had no complaints. Now that the new leasing company has taken over it seems all that's important to them is getting more money from residents. Mind you we just came out of a pandemic and people are try to get back to work and reorganize their finances. City center thought it was important to raise my rent from $1850 to $3,300 which Mark, the leasing office Manager, was able to get down to $2,557. But that's still too high. There have been no upgrades to justify this astronomical increase. Just raised rent because it's in THEIR best interest. No concern for their tenants whatsoever. And there's still not enough parking if you're not home by 7pm. Gates are always broken. Dog urine in the elevator constantly. But they felt it was a good idea to hike up the rent to get more money. UNACCEPTABLE
This place really sucks. I had hopes with the new management but, after a year, I have decided to move out. Here's my story: 1) They sold me a unit that in the end was not available so they called me a week before moving to tell me and i had no choice but to take what was available. 2) I reserved a private parking and for three months they told me they couldn't give it to me. Then when it was finally ready, they sent the contract only to be told, after signing, that it actually was not available. Parking is BAD here. 3) For most of my year here, the Fob for pool and gym access didn't even work. For the entire year the excuse was "we are updating the system." 4) Gates have been wide open for almost the entire year, so really no security here. Luckily this seems to be a safe area. 5) Trash in the hallways, all-of-the-time. It's embarrassing to bring people. Lighting in the hallways is better and they painted the buildings. BUT, they painted it in such a light color that combined with disgusting people who leave trash all over the place, the hallways are as dirty and ugly as ever. 6) Maintenance is not good. I reported an electrical problem a few months ago, and they couldn't fix it. They said they'll return to fix it, but they never came. Office even called to make sure I was satisfied with the repair, I explained what happened but not even after calling they've been back to fix it. I still have a breaker that constantly shuts down and the response to that was "do not connect stuff into that line." Ridiculous. 7) The. Noise. Is. Unbearable. I hear my neighbor next door all of the time. luckily they are good people and have improved. But the people upstairs, JESUS CHRIST. It's noise 24/7. I have no clue what is it that these people do, but there is no time when they are not making noise. 11PM? sure. 2AM? Absolutely. 4AM? Let's move some furniture. 5AM? let's walk as if we are marching. Every. Single. Day. And. Night. I've communicated to them and to the management office, still have the problem. 8) These are not, AT ALL, luxury apartments or luxury community. Apartments, amenities, conditions in which everything is at, amenities, nothing from this complex says LUXURY. There's so much trash everywhere that we can see roaches crawling all over the place. Is that "luxury"? 9) after all of this, they sent the letter to renew my lease for a more than 50% monthly rent increase. That's over $1,000. So they've given me the worst experience I've ever had renting, and still want to charge me over $1,000/month more for it. Nope. I'm out. Don't move here. This place is baaaaaaaaaaaad. REALLY. F'ING. BAD. Go somewhere else. This is a ghetto place charging over $3K for a 2/2. There are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY better options around Miramar and Pembroke Pines for FAR less and are LUXURY apartments for real. Stay away from here.
Illegal towing of vehicles are being conducted here apparently with management approval. Update: After some research, this towing company is known for their predatory practices and is banned from Sunrise. This management company is subjecting their residents to predatory towing in order to gain a percentage from their victimized residents. They are towing innocent residents as well as unexpected guests and providing no recourse but an apology as they do nothing but collect their piece of the pie.
We moved out in February of this year. As part of my last payment they forced me to pay a water deposit of $200.00. (even though I have never used $100 a month for water) To date, they refuse to even show me water bill for the months of January and February. They keep blaming the previous management company even though they have the files that were inherited. I have stopped by twice and called 6 six times. All they do is make promises that they will call me back. I'm certain that they have done this to hundreds of people. At this point, since they can't even provide me with a copy of my water bills, they can take it up with the Office of the Attorney General. They also don't provide a detail explanation of why they don't return the deposit. Yes, it was only $100 or $200, but multiply that by the hundreds that they have done this to and that's a whole lot of money. Find somewhere reputable to live.
Not worth it and Rats everywhere!
This neighborhood is not worth towards what we pay for. Rent and the amenities are trash. Its crazy how the trash piles up at the dumpster on a weekly basis, why would you have only 1 dumpster instead of 2 Make It Make Sense. It is ridiculous how rules are passed and systems are forced on to us as if we don't have a say and are the ones who pay for this. Also ,there is never enough parking, can't have people stay over due that situation which is absurd. So many rules and upcharges and management always gives a run around.
Ok update These walls are THIN you can hear adjacent neighbors playing music I can even hear my down stairs neighbors blasting their music when I'm trying to sleep in day for my night shift yayyy me ... upstairs you can hear EVERYTHING when they walk (a monster lives above me ) to each room when they use bathroom when they run when they drag chairs across floor when they move couches when they stomp, I can even hear when they constantly slam their doors ... ok get my drift if your work night try a too floor or duplex New management is cool so far I had mold growing in apartment I put a work order in online toook sometime to get to it and some calling and go in office but it's done now so I guess but I cannot wait to move Hopefully new towing inforcement effective soon I can find a parking within 10 min by my place maybe and I don't get towed since I live here which I have been booted before previous management I'm a person that needs this info but can never find it Now these jerks are booting cars that pay rent here and cannot find a parking space when they come home .. this place is a setup I work night shift when I come home I have to park extremely far which is dangerous for a woman walking far in the dark just to get to apartment... now I'm scared when I come home from my night shift Job where I will find to park now that they are booting their tenants that cannot find parking (which forces us to park on curbs) ... THIS PLACE NEEDS MORE PARKING !!! This isn't fair after all this rent we pay for us to have to drive around 30 min just to find and look for parking Can't wait to move !!!
I'm so disappointed with this so called luxury community! When i first moved in here Roxanne was very helpful and sweet the apartment was brand new it seemed like a very nice place. Looks are very deceiving. I have lived here for a year and I wish I never moved here. First of all I pay $40 a month for parking I have no assigned parking. Cars are parked all over the place on curbs, fire lanes you can't even see if a car is coming from the other side of the street because cars are blocking the streets. Clearly not enough parking for their residents. There is no guest parking in this entire community. If you park your car inside this community after 10pm your car is getting towed. I have to walk in the leasing office to try and get help with any issues I'm having. No one answer phone here. When I asked about visitors parking they said they have to park outside of the community!!!! I recently was in a car accident and have a rental car which has been towed multiple times because no one responses to my messages regarding adding this car to a "no tow list". If I don't walk in and speak to someone nothing gets resolved. I work 9-5 how inconvenient and inconsiderate to take off just to walk in the leasing office because no one answers phones or return messages. There is no visitors pass or permit no one to even get in contact with after hours there is no security the gates are always open or broken. Over priced not worth it I would never recommend anyone to live here. Elevators are always dirty hallways full of trash and smell like weed. This community needs a better managment all they care about is collecting rent every month I'm so disappointed. I will defiantly be moving very unhappy resident and know I'm not the only one.
How do I start: Parking- When I come home late from work there is no parking available. Gate- The side gate has been broken since I moved in here. Is it ever going to get fixed. Roaches- I was looking back on my email since 11/2016 that I emailed the apartment people and I continue to have roaches in my apartment to this day. I'm on two hands how many times they sprayed, soon I will be on three hands and counting. And lastly, the new parking permits for your car. You only had times and dates that you can go. And it said on the letter that you put at the door that if you cant make these times email you. I emailed you guys and no one responded. So when I go in there the first thing the guy say is that why you didn't come the times and dates. I stated to him that I was out of town and I emailed you guys and left a message (of course no one called back).
I have lived at City Center for about 6 months. The complex has a glaring issue that it doesn't discuss with potential residents before they sign leases. The fact that this problem is so bad it is something I believe should obviously be addressed. If residents accept this reality is one thing. To be sprung upon them after they sign a lease is another. There is a major parking shortage. Everyone parks on the sides of the street especially at night. This complex expects this type of parking now. They know it is going on. The complex then has towing rules that are arbitrarily applied since there is not enough parking to facilitate its residents. It is extremely aggravating. Furthermore, the complex will not help with any towing complaints since they feel that they email warnings about parking.
The hallways are dirty, the gates are ALWAYS broken, management never answers the phone, they tow cars constantly and in 9 months that I have been here there has been about 10 cars who have been broken into. I do not recommend this community.
The parking is the worst. There's no parking space which you pay for. They should label each apartment parking space.
Noooo parking noooooo parking noooo parking worst management its a mafia!!!!!!! Do not live here it's horrible management, pet waste all over the complex is not luxury!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In my opinion, the place looks good but if you want to move to city center on 7th it's better safe money for the towing companies and because it could be around 300 400 Dollars Monthly. Good luck
At Modera apartments is has a beautiful view and nice apartments very Quiet.Lets not forget the Pool what everyone use to calm their self on sunny days but their ants at this pool are extremely bad I was at this pool and got a lot of ant bites that itches and burns.Im not satisfied but other than that its good and safe place.
The rating is actually 0 STARS I just don't have that option obviously. This place has to be by far the worst place I ever got to experience living in. I 1000% do not recommend it, not even to my worst enemy. You're paying thousands of dollars for a very poor structure townhouse, the place was nice in the beginning but then started to fall apart in just the first three weeks of being there. It's like they just put glue to stick things together. Dog feces on the concrete floor from people not picking it up. My main priority when moving to any place is safety so I like a gated community. Gates closed? BARELY, specially in the night time or they were broken from strangers running them over. Parking? A joke. I almost had a head on collision with another car due to cars being parked on the curves. Cars would park even in the middle on the NO PARKING YELLOW LINES. These people are such a joke that to save their asses they printed out notifications months later about anyone who parked on the curved from 9am-9pm their vehicle would get towed. 9pm? Are you serious? They should not be parking there at all, that's dangerous. COMMON SENSE. Oh yeah and the lack of professionalism?!! FOOLISH. We finally decided that we wanted to leave before our lease term due to personal reasons and went to notify the front office obviously to see what the next steps were to start the termination and what the payment process would be. My partner spoke to the famous man of them all, none other than Mr. Marc Mompremier. This man ended up giving us all the wrong information that we ended up getting EVICTED. You heard right EVICTED. When we have NEVER gotten evicted from any place and we have lived in better places than that. But that will definitely be dealt with . Any time you would go in that office there was a resident complaining so that should say more than enough. It is so easy for them to take, not even, better word STEAL our hard earned money specially seeing how hard this economy has gotten but when it comes to getting help or finding resolutions nobody knows anything. Also tell the cleaning lady to stop being so gossipy about residents and do what she got actually hired to do. That so call wealth you have won't last you very long sir, what goes around comes around
When my roommate and I first saw the apartment complex we were in awe. We thought this was the perfect place to be because of the look along with the price. Here is where we messed up. The property manager Thelma seemed uninterested in my roommate and I business. We felt very neglected. She seemed very helpful to the white residents but not as helpful nor interested in the black residents. This was a red flag for us but we were so in love with the apartment we did not care. Fast forward. Now we hate the complex. One it is very dirty. meaning people leave trash all over the place expect the garbage where it belongs. I am currently terrified to walk to the garbage disposal alone because I saw a giant rat over there. It says we pay 15$ for trash and 3$ for pest control which seems to be a waste because the trash is disgusting and always over flowing the garbage can. While the pest seem to be running around enjoying life. I do not feel as if I should be paying 1600+ a month to live on a campus with rats. Also when confronted the property manager about the rat issue she said "Oh its because people do not out their trash in the garbage, they just leave it sitting around the garbage." then she proceeded to say before walking off "ill tell the trash people to put more pest control over there" Lets be mindful she didn't care to ask what garbage can. she was very nonchalant about it. Therefore, i took matters into my own hands and contacted the regional manager. there is never parking anywhere. The back gate is broken. Anyone can pull into the complex if need be. No one cleans up the trash in the stairwell. So if someone decide to leave food on the steps it would sit there until a resident decide to pick it up. This place is horrible. I would not move here if I were you. I cannot wait until my lease is up. They over charge people and provide minimal services.
For one they are a scam from the beginning. They said I could not be on the lease due to something 7 years ago so my grandma helped me out. I have all the emails where they switched out income because i made the most money. Said I could be on in 30 days which never happened. For two you will never find a parking spot at night here. If you work nights or midshifts you will never find a spot and have to walk after there has been signs of multiple burglaries in the community. The office staff are rude and don't care about anything. They took money out of my account when not authorized to do so. this is the hood undercover. You can smell weed all the time and it's not nice like they perceive. I would not and advise you not to move here. Waste of money.
My rating will always be less than 1, starting with the parking is horrible, if you arrive late you can't find a place to park and the tow truck takes your car. And when you go to the office what you are greeted with are rude people without any education, starting with this Michelle, the manager has no professionalism at all. She is inept and does nothing to try to help you or at least give you an ethical answer. It's a parasite.
The elevator has been broken for days huge inconvenience for top floor residents especially during the holiday they've made no effort to contact me back or fix it how can someone have company or how can i possibly walk up that many stairs it's like they don't even care they never answer the phone even in an emergency like this i could be stuck in my apartment if i was injured or handicap . i don't recommend they don't check out that things are working properly. UPDATE 7/20/21 HAVING THE SAME ISSUE ELEVATOR HAS NOT BEEN SERVICED 4days straight AND IM HAVING FOOT SURGERY THESE PEOPLE DONT CARE ABOUT THE WELL BEING COMFORT AND SAFETY OF THEIR RESIDENTS. NOT DARE RENEWING MY LEASE
I could go on & on about how this community is terrible, but I will try to keep it short while still providing adequate information. Parking - terrible! You constantly have to drive around to look for a space, if you're lucky enough to find one, sometimes you have to park along a curb, or if you do find a parking space, it might be five buildings away. Cleanliness - terrible! Trash is always lying everywhere. People leave trash bags in the hallways instead of taking them to the dumpster; people throw trash, & broken chairs, in the stairwell; & people are constantly letting their animals urinate & poop wherever they want, even if it means in the hallway or in the elevator. You pay $15 a month for 'valet' trash when you have to take care of it yourself, & deal with your neighbors trash too. Management - worst I have ever seen! All they care about is if they get their monthly $2000 rent. I have filed complaints with them about the parking issues; I have personally called & complained about the trash & animal urine & feces; I have talked with other residents who feel the same way - management doesn't care! They have done nothing to change any of the issues that we have been dealing with since we moved here in October of 2015. Security/Safety - I don't necessarily feel in danger here, but I don't think it's the safest community, especially considering it's a 'gated' community. The back gates are always broken & are just left open at all times, so really anyone has access to the community at any time. I have had packages/mail stolen, & management only says they are not responsible. There are no security officers or guards at the gates. There are absolutely no security cameras anywhere that I have seen. I have seen quite a few cop cars & SUVS back here, & have heard of other residents talking about break-ins & robberies within the community. Amenities - poor in comparison to some of the other local communities. There is a playground; there are two pools & two clubhouse, both of which are nice & 'shiny'; there are two gyms; there is one media center - but its pretty much a joke; there are NO grills anywhere; there are NO benches, seats, decorations, anything like that, in the community at all. Most communities decorated their entrances for the holidays, not The Montage. The Apartment itself - it's actually a very nice apartment! I love the layout - we have a 2/2. It is spacious; it has a balcony; I love the kitchen (even though the countertops are laminate); BUT all of this does not make up for the community as a whole. I would highly advise that you really do your research, & listen to these reviews that have been posted about this community. We were lured in by the 'shininess' of the community, but don't make the same mistake we did. We are already looking at other communities to move to when our lease is up, and I cannot wait for the day when we can move out of here!
I have lived in this community for 8 months and I have so much regret doing such a long lease, guest cannot park on property after 10 PM. They have to park their car at the UFC which multiple times there has been break-in into cars now what really pisses me off is we pay $45 for parking a month you there is no parking after 6 PM on top of it they are now charging $80 for reserved parking. All the front side of my building is reserved parking so now I have nowhere to park you. I have a three month old baby so this is not really convenient for me or really for anyone , The community is also ghetto as well as nobody respects the community, the gates are always broken, there's always trash It's either they should takeoff the parking fee or figure out a better parking solution because it's pretty ridiculous that I have to walk 10 minutes to my house when I pay $45 for parking Please do not move here worst decision of my life
Please go find some where else to live. Just save yourself the time, money, and effort. Apartments not worth the money. Rent was raised about 400 dollars when management was switched. Constant mold growing on the walls, a/c leaks almost every five months, and big roach infestation. The only good thing about this apartment is their matainance crew. They are extremely nice, helpful, and provide quick response times. The issues outweigh the benefits. My a/c has been fixed about 5 times now, I have had mold treatment done about three times now, and pest control has sprayed every where and even smoked out my house with roach killing fumes and I still have roaches. I have to constantly buy spray and pastes to keep them away. I have lived here for three years, I have paid my car registration for both cars and my cars have been towed three times now. The towing company they use grabs your car in the middle of the night so you have to pay an overnight fee. At this point I'm over it. If you work late, it takes you an hour to find a parking. If you park on the curb and don't get up to move your car in time, TOW. If you don't happen to see the yellow on the curb you just parked next to, TOW. If you don't put the sticker on your vehicle immediately, meaning the first day you moved into the apartment TOW. If your rental car does not have a temporary parking sticker, TOW. If your have visitors after 7 PM, TOW! There is nothing luxury about these apartments, the gate doesn't even work. Leasing office can never seem to answer the phone. PLEASE GO FIND SOME WHERE ELSE.
Roaches, mold, open gates 24/7, pit bulls, illegally parked cars, blocked fire hydrants, terrible management. Absolutely horrendous for anyone living here. They bill it as a luxury community and make you pay as if it is. Do not be fooled. This is a project with a facelift. They will not let us break our lease even though we've been living with roaches for months and mold for god knows how long. Inexcusable
Parking is less than required for the number of bedrooms/units. There are constantly dangerous people from the neighborhood walking through because the gates never work, and there was a home invasion where a couple was held at gunpoint last year. I was going to rent here, but the abysmal parking situation made it clear that they don't care about their residents. The complex won't stop one of the more unsavory residents from taking her pitbull into the children's play area either, which really strikes me as dangerous. They seem to not care about people letting their pitbulls off a leash or locking the gate to the complex, but care more about keeping up appearances and parking instead.
Parking sucks maintainance was horrible they never answer the phone at the office and the trash arrangements are ridiculous can you give negative stars????
There is not enough parking, they do not allow guests with cars and they have towing companies to unload the cars at all hours. Trash accumulates in the hallways and management never addresses any issues!
This place is not worth what they charge..They raise rent astronomically by $500 per renewal which is nonnegotiable and the management team is not like Harbor group... Harbor group was the management group in 2018 when I moved here. There is not enough parking they tow cars unreasonably...they treat this as a business not as a community. The pests are terrible the roaches are all over the place.. the lizards are all over the place as well. There is always trash in the hallways. The maintenance guys are nice... the sales team in the leasing office and is STRICTLY SALES... there NO RESIDENT SERVICES...you have to call Denver Colorado and to get help...I used to like this place but now it's feels like a inconvenience. And the management team has no feelings towards the community that lives here all they see is walking dollars signs! DO NOT RENT HERE!!!
Horrible. Our apartment just got broken into today because the locks are not safe at all. Someone stoled from us And broke the door, I have called every number and left messages and no one has gotten back to us, now we have to stay awake all night in fear of someone coming in here again with an OPEN DOOR. No way I'm staying here another year. There is zero security or a person from maintance on call.
The parking at this apartment complex is terrible. You pay rent to come home at night and have not a single place to park. The parking lot outside the gate is even off limits. I feel as though they have a scam going on with their contracted towing company "All County Towing." On top of the parking being the worst I've ever seen, good luck sleeping when you work night shifts because in the day time it sounds like a circus going on outside. Unfortunately I just renewed another lease because I was hoping things would change but I don't think it will. Until the parking situation is fixed I will continue to turn away potential renters when I see them walking around with staff.
This complex has the worst management team.
Never go rent there, they lie and over charge every month, you have to go for then to fix it. Filthy place with cockroaches. Request 3 time to fumigation they didn't. People with record live there . Worst decisions you Can make. Not worth it
This place is terrible. I honestly feel the money that is paid in rent doesn't equate to the living experience. Don't let the outside fool you this place is a high price ghetto.
Prospective contacts went unresponsive from voicemails and emails. We arrived during office hours to find no one was working, with no sign stating the office would be closed. While trying to wait for someone, we got to talking to several residents who were not shocked by our experience thus far. They shared how inhalpy they were with the property management and that they each were leaving when their leases were up. One resident even told me that she is ashamed to have family and friends over due to the poor condition of the property- feces and trash always lining the stairs. We definitely dodged a bullet here.
Predatory towing!! Do not rent from this complex, your vehicle, as well as any of your guests, will be towed! There are not enough parking spaces. Between the 3 of us, our vehicles have been towed 9 times in the last year. Good luck getting anyone in the office to answer the phone or respond to emails. The "valet trash service " is disgusting, never picked up at a scheduled time and the hallways permeate the garbage smell. This also another scheme to fine you. Horrible management
This community is the worst in South Florida! This apartment complex requires you to pay $45 for parking that ISNT even available. There are so many people living here that parking is nearly impossible. Not to mention that when I first came here they told me parking was free and lied directly to my face. Imagine this, coming home tired from work to no parking, so you have to look for a spot that doesn't exist. When you create said spot they will tow you! Which happened to my son. Disgusting. They require you to pay via app called "Residential Portal" and the worst part about it is, if you pay the balance that shows up a week ahead of your scheduled rent payment. They can increase the balance and claim it was a mistake on the app, and say that you can't pay ahead of time because that isn't the "balance" you owe. Even more disgusting The people that work here all wear masks and underneath, they are greedy and liars. They are willing to lie to you to make money off of you. It feels like a cult here, easy to get in but difficult to leave. This place is a cesspool. Oh and last thing, this place is infested with roaches and the smell of Marijuana, so much so that my job regularly drug tests me due to the smell of my clothes.
