Detailed Information for Creekside Apartments

Exercise extreme caution when considering properties listed by the horrible company “AIR Communities” on rental platforms. While their promotional visuals might appear enticing, prospective tenants should be forewarned of a multitude of hidden fees. Beyond the baseline rent, there are significant charges for amenities such as parking, water, and mail services, which often require an additional subscription. The following are crucial observations derived from reviews by past tenants across multiple platforms. It is imperative that you review these insights meticulously to avoid potential regrettable experiences.

Here is 13 reasons why you SHOULD NOT! consider moving into Creekside Apartments:

  1. Excessive Charges: Residents complain about being nickel-and-dimed, with hidden fees and charges for basic amenities.
  2. Poor Security: Multiple instances of theft, including stolen cars, and a lack of security cameras or measures to protect residents.
  3. Subpar Maintenance: Reports of long-term unresolved maintenance issues, such as holes in ceilings, malfunctioning appliances, and unattended wasp infestations.
  4. Unprofessional Management: Descriptions of rude and unhelpful management staff, with a lack of concern for resident satisfaction.
  5. Parking Issues: Complaints about parking meter installations for guests and insufficient parking for residents, leading to towing disputes.
  6. Poor Living Conditions: Mention of poor quality renovations, drafty windows, and overall outdated and deteriorating apartment features.
  7. Unresponsive and Inconsistent Communication: Difficulties in reaching staff, inconsistent office hours, and unfulfilled promises.
  8. Unsanitary Grounds: Reports of widespread dog waste, trash issues, and poor grounds maintenance.
  9. Inefficient Utilities Management: Frustrations over shared utility billing and charges for utilities not individually used.
  10. Smoke-Free Policy Not Enforced: Non-enforcement of smoke-free community rules, affecting the comfort and health of residents.
  11. Lack of Transparency: Concerns about misleading advertising, particularly regarding pet policies and utility charges.
  12. Move-Out Disputes: Numerous accounts of unfair charges upon move-out and difficulties obtaining security deposit refunds.
  13. Unjustified Rent Increases: Reports of significant rent increases without corresponding improvements to the living conditions or facilities.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. It has been a nightmare since day 1. We were misinformed of MANY things before & at move-in. I had to clean the place in order to move in because it was dirty. Maintenance, although friendly, is not quite up to par....& by that I mean, they don't have any training in fixing things. We decided to move out & break our lease...no biggie...the 60-day notice was given via email. They LOST MY EMAIL. I forwarded them the original email & did not receive the promised call within 48 hours...instead first contact was my bill for move-out (expected $1100...1 months rent....) it was for almost 2 months rent. $2100. WHAT? I try to dispute, but because the paperwork is already completed, they "can't" back date and take the extra fees off. After 2 weeks of painful phone calls and less than helpful (RUDE) staff, I cave and decide to pay this so I can escape hell. I had a small, local business owner who runs her own cleaning services clean my apartment for move-out, since the lease states you can present a receipt for cleaning & avoid the cleaning charge. Because she wasn't located on Google, they are STILL CHARGING ME TO CLEAN...which is ridiculous given the apartment is 10x cleaner than it was when i moved in. & of course no one can call back or answer a phone call. So here I am, being robbed for $1100+ dollars, literally just so that I can escape this dump. It's awful. do NOT go here. It's like a bad horror story, gone even more wrong.

This place is TERRIBLE. Management really sucks and will nickel and dime you for just about everything including pest control. I can't believe how expensive it'sbecome either. Just two years ago I paid less than $850 for a 1bdr which was expensive for how crappy the apartment was. Now they're charging over $1100 for the same unit. That is NUTS.

This place is falling apart and the leasing office team dont know their jobs or they just lie to your face. Save yourself the trouble the maintainece guy team cant seem to fix anything without breaking something else my neighbor downstairs had some issue coming from my pipes when they fixed it they made a leak in my place. And when i called then about that the somehow broke my shower head this was all done by mike their #1 and he would just show up in my apartment unannouced even tho i told them to call first i wonder if it had anything to do woth my sister being home alone she couldnt take it and moves out. I sprung for the new appliances so my place could look nice only for them to charge me for a vent fan that doesnt do anything and when i made a complaint they said there was nothing they could do about it. Also the dushwasher fell out of the cabinet and when they put it back in they broke the garbage disposal. The cabinets are the reason it fell out they are from the 70s the drawers contantly fall out and when u call maintainece they just bend the track back and say its fixed when its just going to bend again. The lady in the leasing office is the most trouble though her name is lavonda she found out i worked at a bar nearby and would come in and get hammered and try to get me to go home with her. I thought it was innocent enough but i went to her apartment one time to help her move something she pulled out alchohol and weed and started drinking and smoking even tho its a non smoking community. dont belive me she has white couches and a big ottoman right in the middle of the living room and a standing cabinet on the left opposite the kitchen i didnt do anything with her because shes like my moms age but it gets worse once she saw i had a girlfriend she would terrorize me with trying to tow my car letters on my door about my bicycles and then when i told her my roomate moved out and i couldnt afford the place she said this happens and to break the lease it would be 2 months notice and 1 month rent. The day came when i was ready to pay the last month rent to break the lease and thier portal (which makes u late and adds on fees) said i owed $5,000 apparently they snuck that in their when they renewed my lease. Thats a whole nother story. I belive she lied to me to "get back at me" i guess because i wouldnt sleep with her. But honestly unless u want to pay top dollar to live in a never renovated apartment where people will lie to your face and nothing will be fixed because they dont know what their doing or just dont care then yea move in

From the moment I moved into these apartments, I had nothing but problems. First, we arrived with the u-haul to find my apartment not even ready. We had to delay the move several hours as a result. A big inconvenience as we rented a u-haul and I had people wasting their days helping me move. I finally get moved in and wake up the next day to no hot water. It does not get fixed for a day. The water issues did not stop here. Frozen water pipes are a regular occurrence at Creekside because the plumbing system is so old. I woke up to frozen pipes about 5 times. I was unable to shower or use the bathroom and was late to work as a result each time. Their method of remedying the issue was by coming over with blowtorches and heating the pipes. The second to last time this happened, they also unscrewed some valve to the toilet so when everything finally unfroze, my bathroom starting flooding. The most recent experience happened in December. I was out of town and returned to my apartment on December 30th to find my keys not working. I go to the front desk because no one ever answers their phones. They inform me that my neighbor above me had frozen pipes that resulted in flooding, so they had to break into my apartment to ensure my pipes were okay. They weren't. I walk in after a day of traveling to find my closet completely emptied and all my clothes, shoes, and personal belongings just thrown on my bed and dresser. I'm again without water and waiting on a plumber to come fix the old piping. He finally manages to get the water running after 8 pm. However, he somehow messes up the valves and the only water I get is now scorching hot. I once again call maintenance and am told I would have to wait until tomorrow. The next morning approaches and I am awoken by water shooting out of the closet where the pipes are exposed. So, water is spraying everywhere. I am soaking wet. Everything that is on the top shelf in my closet including boxes with pictures, memories, diploma, etc. are soaked. On top of that, the water was gushing out just inches away where the maintenance staff placed a 1200 volt space heater to keep the pipes from freezing again. This was a severe safety hazard. It was a miracle that I wasn't electrocuted while unplugging it from a distance. Of course no one is answering so I have to leave my flooding apartment to run to the front desk. It's too late for a lot of my belongings. Keep in mind, renters insurance does not cover water damage. Due to it being New Year's Eve, Creekside could not get the plumber back right away. So, I'm without water on New Year's Eve. They didn't offer to compensate me for my losses or even provide a hotel room. In fact, Charla Neta was nothing but condescending and blamed me saying I left the apartment too cold while out of town. Funny because my neighbors had the same issue and they were actually in town and this wasn't the first time this has happened to me. I ended up staying with a friend and returned home the next day to the plumber being back. He finally leaves and now there is a massive hole in my shower. The maintenance manager comes backs and is pretty livid about this. He says he needs to replace my whole shower. At this point, I tell him my lease is up in a month. I am happy to just not extend it as planned and just move out then. I write a letter to Creekside informing them that I will be moving out at the end of my lease. They approve this. Fast forward to today, and I still have not received my full deposit of $1208. They sent me a check for about $189 but no itemized explanation as to where the rest of my money is. When I called, they said they emailed me but this was false. Under Colorado's Security Deposit Law, Colorado Revised Statutes 38-12-103, the statutory time requirement of 60 days to return the deposit has passed. I have an open investigation going now with the Colorado Real Estate Commission and plan to take the necessary path to ensure my money is rightfully returned to me.

Such a disgusting and pathetic apartment complex. They are so unprofessional and unorganized. They were calling and harassing me and my boyfriend about resigning our lease which we told them no multiple times and was told "we made note that you are in fact giving notice" from Nora at the leasing office. Our stove top cracked and we had contacted the maintenance guy via text which I still have all the texts stating not to worry about it because the apartment was going to get redone. Now we have been moved out for a couple months now and they are calling me at work trying to get $3,000 out of me for incorrect charges. Oh and you can try to call the leasing office and they are never there. DO NOT SIGN A LEASE WITH THEM!! GO ELSEWHERE.

I've never left a review on Yelp before but I feel people need to know- DO NOT LIVE HERE. I am a travel contract therapist, so I move every 10 months or so. This is by far the WORST place I have ever lived. They will nickel and dime you, lie and manipulate the system to take advantage of you, and will not support you if you are in need of help. Not to mention they refused to accept my ESA despite being licensed/trained and receiving several letters from my doctor regarding my diagnosis. This past weekend, I was concerned about a fellow resident following a domestic violence situation in which 911 was called, and they could not have been any less concerned about the potential danger this resident was in. They hardly ever answer the phone and do not consistently reply to emails. It is extremely overpriced for apartments that are falling apart and the service you receive (I'm moving to a way nicer place for nearly half the price). Do yourself a favor and live ANYWHERE else!

Run by a very greedy real estate investment trust. Expect random charges and constantly inflating prices on everything from package delivery to parking. Extra charges on a one bedroom run almost $450 over posted rent prices. The leasing office is incompetent, but it's not really the staff's fault. The company structure is a joke and is run mostly by bots - not kidding. If you ever have a problem it will take months to resolve no matter how small the issue is.

0 stars if I could! Living here left so much to be desired. The move out process was horrendous. They charged insane fees they weren't forthcoming about, never gave me a peep about my deposit being returned. I lived there for a few months with no time to damage anything, and then charged me an extra 2k+ in fees over what they told me they were charging me to break my lease. They also kicked me out a day early! Then they only let you move out on a day when nobody is in the office in case you need something. This place is a scam. It's dishonest and I would recommend running as far and as fast as you can. I was waiting to write my review in hopes they'd at least TRY to rectify anything, including LEGALLY communicating whether they'd give me my deposit back or not. Horrible, horrible, horrible customer service. I had to go to their parent company and threaten to take legal action to get any sort of response. I hope y'all have the day you deserve. Just to add- they said they would "look into this and get back to me" they never did. Nor did their parent company. They closed the case for my deposit, but my 400 dollars was never returned. Shocking.

My brother and I drove up from Durango Colorado, and we previously confirmed meeting with lavonda 3 times over the the phone, she sent me a quote that I thought was promising for an apartment that wasn't actually available, then I spoke to Nora and she confirmed my appointment that I scheduled with lavonda in person on a schedule day at an apartment that was not the unit originally quoted for. And lavonda denied confirming my in person appointment that was confirmed 3 times before we drove up, and she sent us the quote for a unit that was not available and she didn't even show up . The apartment was trashy unclean and was definitely ill perceived from the photos on their page. I understand apartments go quick in the city, but the scheduling was very unprofessional with little regards to potential applicants. I wasted gas and my time on an appointment with a leasing agent who clearly has no regards for her bookkeeping or scheduling. There are better options than this place.

I really hate that I pay 1350 per mo and can't park. Not my problem also if the parking lot is done Friday 06/07/19 then why do I have to wait over night. Besides the point do not live here don't move here don't look at the website in less you like parking your brand new car on a busy road when they shut down the whole parking lot all day and not credit you back for the days of lost parking. Thank god I be out of here soon. Awful experience! All around.

If you like outdated garbage, theft, drafty windows / doors, broken screens and being ripped off then you've found you place! These 1 star reviews are very accurate and some of the 5 stars are employees of the company! With all the apartments in Glendale, don't bothers with these. Check Google and Yelp and you'll find the truth about the scam artist of AIMCO Creekside! But hey ... SmartLocks!

I am disappointed by the greed exhibited by AIR, the owner of the complex. AIR is an investment real estate trust whose sole purpose is to make money for their investors. It started when the complex put parking meters for our visitor parking and continued when the fees for package delivery and various utilities increased. It ended when I moved out of an apartment that was going to be remodeled once I vacated. All of the cabinetry and flooring would be torn out and replaced and the apartment painted. I was charged a painting fee of $170.51. The apartment had not been repainted prior to me moving in and and I put no holes in the walls. Even if they were not going to repaint for the remodel, it would appear to be normal wear and tear after two years of me living there plus the time that the prior tenant was there. Then a full cleaning fee of $170 for an apartment that was going to be completely remodeled. I did clean the appliances since I did not know if they would be staying or not along with cleaning the baseboards, windows, and blinds. I have always gotten my full deposits back in the past. I was disappointed by the lack of communication and I do think it is outrageous to charge a cleaning and painting fee for an apartment that is going to be remodeled. If you are looking for great property management, check out any apartment managed by Cornerstone. I would recommend that people stay away from AIR.

First things first: they have a contract with a predatory towing company named Elite towing, and they WILL without hesitation tow all of your guest's cars and yours if you happen to make any mistakes. Sometimes they will tow you even if you've done nothing wrong. The rent is horrendous for what you get. $1400 for cabinets that were literally just painted pieces of plywood. These are not updated kitchens, don't be fooled. The stupid smart home systems they have installed will just make your life more difficult when they malfunction and run out of battery. Drawers broke all the time. The plumbing was making weird noises constantly, and they refused to fix it. Leasing and management are not helpful and it's very clear they just want to take your money and don't take care of the property or grounds- rat traps, loose wiring around every corner, no salting for ice in the winter, floods easily when it rains, buildings are old and dirty. This place is a shame, could be nice with a proper management company that actually cared. "Great location" by cherry creek isn't enough to make this place worth your while. In response to the owner: you should have addressed these issues when they were brought to you and your leasing office multiple times. I will not be contacting you or your team ever again.

I have lived at this complexd for 5 years, and I can't believe the new regulations that they have put into effect!!! It is outrageous!!I have had automatic rent deposit for the last 1 1/2 years. When I renewed my lease, I assumed that the rent would still be deducted automatically. I had authorized a withdrawal ceiling of $100 above my average rent & utility amount.Imagine my surprise when I received a notice that my rent was late, and that I was being charged with a late fee PLUS an eviction legal fee!!!! These fees added up to an additional 25% over my rent. An eviction notice fee on the 4th of the month!!!!!I couldn't even get customer service to promise to call me back about this issue. "I will pass it on to our leadership team." The customer service assistant said that someone might or might not call me back! This company keeps assigning all these miscellaneous additional fees through their utility charges. The bills are never from the actual utility providers. I have called. There is no way to verify the charges with Excel or any other service provider. What do we get for all of these fees? Well, we have bugs, in spite of paying extermination fees, and the doggie bag containers are always empty, in spite of paying pet fees. After 5 years, I can't wait to be done with this place!

Avoid moving here if you can. The community is not safe. USPS mailboxes get regularly broken in to. My car and truck have been broken into at least 4 times. Packages get stolen all the time. Management does nothing. I was almost assaulted when I unknowingly walked up to someone breaking in to my car. I had to install my own security cameras for my vehicles to at least maybe hope to catch someone in the act again. And there are no security cameras owned by the property. The parking lots do not have adequate lighting. I do not feel safe outside of my apartment. Maintenance is a complete joke. We were without air conditioning for quite a few months because they couldn't get the repair parts or so they claimed. Maintenance went to fix the two bedroom windows in the unit and now both windows cannot be opened and neither one of them has a screen on them. Maintenance left with the screens and never replaced them. The dumpsters are regularly overflowing or on fire. Many of the walkways are cracked and buckled and unsafe to walk on. The lawn sprinkler systems that are installed next to the stairs for my unit spray right up the stairs in a constant stream. If I arrive home or have to leave after about 11:00 PM I need to take an umbrella outside to protect myself from getting soaked by the sprinklers. One of our neighbors turned out to be a hoarder and because of them our entire apartment was filled with cockroaches. I ended up treating for that myself after the first week. And luckily they didn't come back after I put down my own treatment. The apartment complex recently changed hands and the new management does absolutely nothing. The property is slowly falling into disarray and they don't seem to care. I will be looking for a new place to live when the lease is up.

This is by far the worst place I have ever lived in. After reading all of the recent reviews, I found it almost comical that every one is so similar to the experience my roommate and I had. First of all, maintenance admitted to us that they weren't ready for us when we arrived to move in. They made us wait 30 minutes while they "handled some basic things" so that we could move in. Why was this shit not done before we arrived? After this 30 minute wait, we entered a filthy apartment. Plus there was a huge puddle of water that they said was from "cleaning". What cleaning? After cleaning the apartment ourselves, we finally moved in. We noticed that the water kept coming because the water unit in the closet was broken. We immediately called maintenance and they fixed it by putting hand towels around the pipe. The hand towels were brand new and very much red, so when they got saturated, as any somewhat intelligent human would expect, it not only was leaking water, but we had a huge red dye problem to deal with. We also had a spider and ant infestation, due to our patio and front door not sealing correctly. That was never fixed the entire time we lived there even though multiple maintenance men came to "fix" it. A month after me moved in, the apartment flooded due to heavy rain. We were told that they couldn't fix that problem for several weeks. When we asked what we should do if it rained again, we were told by leasing consultants that there was nothing they could do until the siding of our building was fixed. They nicely suggested we put all our belongings into plastic bins. What a nice way to live. Thanks for the suggestions. It was obvious that Creekside spends a lot of time hiring quality consultants. Move out- nightmare. They didn't give us money back as promised for the key we had to pay for to get into the gym, which still amazes me that such a fucking key/charge existed. We then were charged for new carpet to be installed even though the carpet looked as if it had been there for 40 years when we moved in. And, it looked worse when we moved out due to the flooding that happened because how shitty the building had been maintained. Sorry, I'm not paying for someone else to have nice carpet when we came into such a shithole. I also refuse to pay for cleaning when we had to clean the unit ourselves before we could even move in. You can never get a real person to talk to. My current apartment complex knows me by name and even knows the name of my dog. The fact that when my shower was leaking hot water at such a fast pace and I couldn't talk to a person is outrageous. When I finally walked to the front office, ever leasing consultant was on their cell phones, which is probably why they were too busy to answer the office phone. Candy Crush is a good game but fuck, what are you getting paid for?? They paused their game to tell me before they could send anyone, I needed to go online and submit a maintenance request form. Now, they keep harassing my roommate and I for hundreds of dollars in move out costs, cleaning, new carpet, so on... Yet when we request to speak with them, they never return our emails or calls. I'm close to reporting them to the better business bureau because what they are doing can't be legal. Don't let the dog park entice you to move in if you have a dog. I hardly ever let my dog into that disease infested jail. I'd have a dead dog if I did. All of the "features" were broken and almost killed me the few times I took her there. I began just playing with her in the common yards because we had a better chance of living to see the next day by doing so. (Even tho if you were caught with your dog off leash, that was a huge no-no.) They tried to make the complex smoke free, which didn't bother me much, but considering it wasn't advertised to be so when we signed our lease, you must be pretty fucking stupid to think you could actually enforce that. Maybe, instead of being the damn tobacco police, use your time to fix your shitty apartments. I'd much rather stand outside and be near someone smoking than to live inside a spider infested apartment. I will gladly tell anyone in Denver to avoid this place like the fucking plague. Hopefully this amazing 0 star review will get a comment out of this Creekside woman that keeps posting on other very satisfied previous tenants so that I can potentially set up a time to actually talk with a real human about how horrible this place made 7 months of my life. Oh ya, we also had some creep peeking through our windows and he was arrested. So feel free to walk around safely inside your apartment naked and fall victim to sexual assault. (The dude was released and continued to live in the complex.) For as many fucking notices they posted about laundry room facilities or unwarranted dogs, you'd think they'd be able to print out a notice to tenants about the fucking sex offender that somehow passed their rigorous background checks.)

Hello. So I would like to start with the fact that when I went into the leasing office for the first time, the guy at the front desk asked which other places I was considering and then told me the other places were terrible and showed me that they had bad reviews online. I explained to him that I was a very easy tenant and had never complained about an apartment before and therefore was not concerned about having a bad experience with an apartment.... and then I moved into Creekside.Do not ever make the horrible mistake of moving to this place, like I did. I moved from a very run down, $400/month apartment in a bad part of Aurora and this was a HUGE step down in customer service and reliability.About once a month there would be a letter posted either on our apartment door or some common area and each time it was just a note to let you know how they planned to make Creekside a worse place to live. One note explained that they didn't feel like keeping the hot tub clean anymore so they were going to take it out. One note explained that the apartments had bugs and they were going to charge the residents to remove them. After that each bill included a pest removal fee AND a pest removal admin fee. Which meant Creekside was not only charging for pest removal, they were charging me to charge me to remove pests from their disgusting apartments. There was a note saying they were pulling out the laundry machines to replace them with ones that were more expensive and only ran on coins rather than a prepaid card (which meant all the money on the prepaid card was useless), another of these notes explained that they would no longer sign for packages... the list goes on and on and the theme is pure laziness and only caring about making the staff's lives easier (and making Creekside a worse place to live). When I told them I would be moving out they told me I had to pay for professional cleaning and could not clean the apartment myself. I heard about six staff members brag about the fact that they turn around apartments so fast... and yes, as everything else at Creekside they do it at the expense of their customers and to make a few extra bucks. They replaced the wood floor in the apartment above mine at 11:30pm on a weeknight and refused to return my calls the next day when I called to ask that they stop construction at a reasonable time. Also be prepared to pay for parking in a parking lot that is absolutely destroyed and full of potholes. They do no maintenance on it and it is never even plowed. Another thing that is just to nickle and dime you into paying more money.I moved out on January 20 and was told "we will use what is left of your deposit to pay your final Xcel bill after we assume responsibility for the account". I am just finding out that they never actually assumed responsibility for the Xcel and Xcel is asking me for more money. Creekside assumes that I should pay until someone else moves in because that is the kind of company they are. They believe every expense and inconvenience should be passed on to the residents, and I have come to expect this from them. They also scheduled my walk through and told me I had to be present or I would get charged for it, I drove 40 minutes to be there and they didn't show up and then did the walk through at a different time without me present and without any notice or reschedule.I have tried to contact them on several occasions since moving out (the walk through, the Xcel bill, etc.) and they only let you talk to a human being if you are attempting to rent a new apartment. If you aren't, they send you to voice-mail. I said I was looking for an apartment to get a person on the phone and as soon as she found out I was one of the many, many people screwed over by Creekside she forwarded me to Voice-mail. I have never received a call back from them after leaving a voice-mail. I am going to have to drive down there once again to talk to their lazy, apathetic staff about they money they are still stealing from me.

Do NOT waste your money here. The first day I moved in, a pipe broke under my kitchen floor. After a week without a functioning kitchen, I basically had to beg them to come finish the job they started. It took another week to get the floors, walls, paint, etc. done. And of course, I received none of my rent back for this time and extreme inconvenience.I had maintenance out 3 times to fix my refrigerator. It still is not functioning properly. Basically, it needs to be replaced, but they are too cheap to do that.I complained multiple times to office staff about my loud, messy, frequently intoxicated neighbors. I informed them each time that there were 3 adults living in a one bedroom apartment. I was assured this would be taken care of. Not surprisingly, it is months later, and nothing has been done.Because of these issues, I broke my lease and moved early. I paid 2 months rent for when the apartment was not even occupied and now they're trying to charge me another month's rent! On top of this, I thoroughly cleaned before moving, yet without even seeing the apartment, they're still trying to charge me a cleaning fee. This place is not worth the money and is definitely not worth the frustration.

If you would like to live in an apartment that is run down, old, with horrifically irresponsible staff, then by all means, live here! I have had mail stolen out of my mailbox multiple times, my dog has been attacked by other dogs off leash multiple times, and dealing with aimco in general is a pain. Oh, and also, if you want to come home to people with green mohawks loitering in the parking lot, then this place is for you!!

Having a very hard time believing any of these positive reviews are authentic. They will nickle and dime you on everything especially utilities like gas and electric. The BIG problem is they require you to go through a 3rd party like "xcel" to actually power your unit but they want additional gas and electric from you, most likely to power their leasing office that they are never in and the phones they never answer. Halfway through our lease it went from open parking to assigned parking where they "enforce" a strict towing policy that is $250 dollars, except they expect residents to be responsible for towing unauthorized vehicles parked in the lot. There is NEVER guest parking because they charge residents for specific spots so residents with multiple cars that don't want to pay extra, take up all the guest spots. Creekside expects it to be on us to have our neighbor towed. Their customer service is absolutely terrible and they don't care. If you do decide to live here despite this very thought out review, I highly suggested bringing a lawyer to review everything because they will gladly bend you over and laugh about it.

Can't believe it. I was simply asking if this place having wash/dryer connections and people who talk to me didn't understand what I'm saying and became super rude. Don't go to this place.

**EDITED TO ADD** After 2 years there, and now finally moving out, I have these edits to add: They wanted to raise my rent 6% after the first year. When you have an animal, you are required to pay a $300 non refundable deposit, plus $40 a month. You'd think that covers everything, but when you move out, you are required to pay $75 for carpet cleaning, even if your carpet is clean. There is a constant rotation of staff at Creekside, so pretty much everything falls through the cracks. Today was my move-out inspection and despite having a signed contract for months with Creekside about when these inspections would take place, and speaking with the new manager, the leasing agent, and Aimco directly last week, my inspection was still overlooked today. They gave me a window of 8 AM-12 PM, and after not being able to get through to anyone via e-mail or phone, I walked over to the office at 11:40 AM only to find out no one was ever told to come. I wasted my whole morning and had to take 4.5 hours off of work for nothing. I e-mailed the community manager and the leasing agent to ask what happened and never received a response. Please note that some of the utilities you pay for with Creekside are split among the community residents, so if you literally have not used a drop of water in the apartment for a month, you will still receive a bill. **END EDIT** I had high hopes for this place, but have been very disappointed. The grounds are not well maintained, the units are old and run down. Nearly all my cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom are held together with glue. There is a major wasp issues throughout the grounds. There is no parking lot lighting, and I don't know why I pay extra to park in the lot when there are countless cars without Creekside stickers taking up space. In the beginning of January 2016, the online portal was not working and I could not pay my rent before the 4th. When I called the next morning, on the 4th, the woman laughed at me. They charged me a late fee of over $100 (I had never been late before) and even charged me an additional $20 "demand of payment" fee, which is ridiculous because no one had to demand payment - I was the one who called them to tell them I couldn't get the payment through. Many times my service requests disappear before being completed, which is strange. I see they've been cleaning up the leasing office, but it would be great if they took care of the grounds and facilities more. I'm sure they'll raise my rent after the first year, but I'm very glad I didn't sign a 5 year lease. Here's hoping they turn things around...

Creekside Apartments 5250 E. Cherry Creek South Dr. Denver, CO 80246 We have quite the history with Creekside that is definitely worth putting on Yelp to alarm others of what EXACTLY they are signing up for. There are a million other apartments in this location that are cheaper, nicer, and have way better staff (it wouldn't be hard to top Creekside) that I would encourage you to check out. Anything but Creekside. First off, the maintenance of the place is trashy. The inside of the apartments are worn down, drawers missing and other broken things at move-in. Multiple times our maintenance requests got marked as complete or closed when they never fixed what was requested. The walls are very thin so sound travels easily. I've seen dogs in the pool. I pay for a parking spot and both of our cars have been vandalized. But the physical appearance isn't even the worse part! We moved out of Creekside because of customer service issues. Their leasing office is useless. After our 30 day transfer period, we went into the leasing office to sign papers on the designated day that they said they would be ready. We had check-in-hand and arrived at the leasing office close to 5pm (when they close on Saturdays). The leasing lady, Jessi, told us she had a party to get to and didn't have much time. Jessi didn't know how to do the transfer paperwork on the computer and ended up telling us to come back the next day after she couldn't get ahold of her manager to walk her through the transfer steps. After talking with the manager, Tiffany, the next day, she stated that Jessi has been there since Jan-Feb and never got the proper training so basically she doesn't know how to do much. Why is she still there?! Who knows.. At this point, we decided to just move-out instead of transfer and decided to just speak to Tiffany, the manager, about it. She understood our frustrations and took it upon herself to get us situated with the move. THIS IS THE BIGGEST ISSUE Upon changing our transfer to a move-out, we were consistently concerned of fees that would be accrued at move-out. So we made sure to visit Tiffany, in person, multiple times, since she knew our situation and was honestly the only person in that office who knew what to do and how to do it. She insisted our move-out day was approved and considering our troubles we had at transfer, she would waive fees, if any. She was very apologetic and we appreciated that. Fast forward to our move-out, and we have over $1800 in fees for moving out to early!!!!! Now, this is exactly why we went into the office and directly spoke to Tiffany about many times. Knowing this, Tiffany then called her manager who basically threatened her with her job and said that it's against policy to do such a thing. And guess who's left paying the $1800?? WE ARE! Although not in writing, we have this thoroughly documented on recordings with Tiffany. She outlines exactly as I have stated above and how she was "unfortunately" notified that her waiving fees was against policy AFTER the fact. We have formally disputed the bill with Aimco who are all a bunch of robots and have done nothing about the dispute. I didn't think I could be any more frustrated with Creekside until I talked to the property managers at Aimco. Which is even scarier! Therefore, we're filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against Tiffany, Creekside, and Aimco to hopefully get some attention and negotiation. This is absolutely ridiculous. Not only is Tiffany and the leasing office at Creekside ignoring this, but the property managers at Aimco seem like they deal with this all the time too! Don't put yourselves in this hole of a corporation! Yelp, Facebook, Twitter, and BBB are our only hopes. Please save your money and go to ANY of the other places in this neighborhood. We moved down the street and are sooo happy to not be in Creekside anymore. Not only are Creekside apartments sub par, but their management, accounting, and employees are useless. Save yourself and your wallet, stay away from Creekside.

I am confident no place on Yelp deserves 1 star more than Creekside. Whatever you do, do not rent from Creekside Apartments. From the moment I moved into these apartments, I had nothing but problems. First, we arrived with the u-haul to find my apartment not ready. We had to delay the move several hours as a result. A big inconvenience as we rented a u-haul and I had people wasting their days helping me move. I finally get moved in and wake up the next day to no hot water. It does not get fixed for a day.The water issues did not stop here. Frozen water pipes are a regular occurrence at Creekside because the plumbing system is so old. I woke up to frozen pipes about 5 times. I was unable to shower or use the bathroom and was late to work as a result each time. Their method of remedying the issue was coming over with blowtorches and heating the pipes. The second to last time this happened, they unscrewed some valve to the toilet so when everything finally unfroze, my bathroom starting flooding. I had rugs and towels ruined. The most recent experience happened in December of 2014. I was out of town for Christmas. I returned back to my apartment on December 30th to find my keys not working. I go to the front desk because no one ever answers their phones, and they inform me that my neighbor above me had frozen pipes that resulted in flooding so they had to break into my apartment (did they not have a spare key?) to ensure my pipes were okay. Turns out mine were frozen as well and there was flooding. I walk in after a day of traveling to find my closet completely emptied and all my clothes, shoes, and personal belongings just thrown on my bed and dresser. They did not even attempt to contact me about this happening. Once again, I'm without water and waiting on a plumber to come fix the old piping. He finally manages to get the water running after 8 pm. However, he somehow messes up the valves and the only water I get is now scorching hot. This hot water was so hot you couldn't keep your hand under it longer than a second. I once again call maintenance and am told I would have to wait until tomorrow when they could get him to return. The next morning approaches and I am awoken by water shooting out of the closet where the pipes are exposed from all the work they were doing. They hadn't yet resealed the wall. So, water is spraying everywhere. I am soaking wet. Everything that is on the top shelf in my closet including boxes with pictures, memories, diploma, etc. are soaked. On top of that, the water was gushing out just inches away from where the maintenance staff placed a 1200 volt space heater to keep the pipes from freezing again. This was a severe safety hazard. It was a miracle that I wasn't electrocuted while unplugging it from a distance. Of course no one is answering their phones so I have to leave my flooding apartment to run to the front desk. Maintenance finally gets down there to shut off the water. It's too late for a lot of my belongings. Keep in mind, renters insurance does not cover water damage. Due to it being New Year's Eve, Creekside could not get the plumber back right away. So, I'm without water on New Year's Eve. Creekside did not offer to compensate me for my losses or even provide a hotel room. In fact, Charla Neta was nothing but condescending and blamed me saying I left the apartment too cold while out of town. Funny since my neighbors who were in town had the same issue and this had now happened on several occasions. I ended up staying with a friend and returned home the next day to the plumber being back. He finally leaves in the pm and leaves the shower with a massive hole in it, about the size of a fist. The shower was clearly melted with a torch. The hole leads out to my closet. The maintenance manager comes backs and is pretty livid about this. He says he needs to replace my whole shower. At this point, I tell him my lease is up in a month. I am happy to just not extend it as planned and just move out then. I write a letter to Creekside informing them that I will be moving out at the end of my lease on February 9th due to all of the above issues. They approve this on January 3. I strongly discourage you from moving forward with Creekside. They are crooks. Feel free to contact me if you would like more information on filing a complaint with with the Real Estate Commission against Aimco or have any questions.

Hello. So I would like to start with the fact that when I went into the leasing office for the first time, the guy at the front desk asked which other places I was considering and then told me the other places were terrible and showed me that they had bad reviews online. I explained to him that I was a very easy tenant and had never complained about an apartment before and therefore was not concerned about having a bad experience with an apartment.... and then I moved into Creekside. Do not ever make the horrible mistake of moving to this place, like I did. I moved from a very run down, $400/month apartment in a bad part of Aurora and this was a HUGE step down in customer service and reliability. About once a month there would be a letter posted either on our apartment door or some common area and each time it was just a note to let you know how they planned to make Creekside a worse place to live. Another thing that is just to nickle and dime you into paying more money. I moved out on January 20 and was told "we will use what is left of your deposit to pay your final Xcel bill after we assume responsibility for the account". They also scheduled my walk through and told me I had to be present or I would get charged for it, I drove 40 minutes to be there and they didn't show up and then did the walk through at a different time without me present and without any notice or reschedule. I have tried to contact them on several occasions since moving out (the walk through, the Xcel bill, etc.) and they only let you talk to a human being if you are attempting to rent a new apartment.

Do your self a favor and don't live here. The managment can careless about the residents here. They way over priced. They charge you extra rent if you want appliance upgrades. If you have horrible disrespectful neigbors they do nothing about it even after being threten you with violence. They charge you fees for evey little thing they can including standard parking and extra from spots close to the building and a cleaning service upon move out. So glad I'm out of this place.

I'd definitely look elsewhere and wouldn't move in here again if I could. The maintenance team and the leasing team are kind people, but they do what they can with a bad apartment complex and bad leasing company. The apartments are crumbling, the neighborhood is covered in dog waste, parking is a nightmare, and paying $1600 or more for a 1-bedroom 40 year old apartment is ridiculous. The carpet in my unit smells like it's 20 years old and the cabinets are deteriorating with old white paint. I don't think neighbors are well-vetted and you'll hear fighting and yelling at 3am, drug use, etc. Looking forward to moving out!

Current resident and can't wait to move out. Just another apartment complex that doesn't care about their residents. There was a sewage issue in my building (not a result of my actions) requiring extensive work done in my kitchen. First of all, the maintenance team and their contractors entered my apartment without my permission under the guise of "emergency". The "emergency" work was just marking the walls, they didn't even start the actual project until 16 hours later (the following day). It was likely more convenient for them to mark the walls at that time, not an emergency. When I expressed concern over this, I was hit with "per your lease" and the property manager insisted that marking the walls constituted an "emergency". Next, they asked me if there was a place for me and my dog to stay during the work, when that wasn't an option they offered me an EMPTY unit on property. Eventually I had to push for them to put me up in a hotel. To make matters worse, the contractor they used went into my bathroom, even though I left a note explicitly telling them not to enter my bathroom or bedroom. There was plaster under my bathroom sink, splattered on the ground/trashcan, on my speaker, and on the toilet handle (so presumably these workers also used my toilet). Additionally, I got a voicemail saying that the maintenance team had spoken with me and would be finishing up some minor work in my apartment the day following my return. No such conversation ever happened. I was disappointed in how the work was done and how the contractors handled themselves in my home, but more disappointed with the lack of concern or support I received from the property manager when I expressed that this episode made me feel unsafe in my own home. Also, this place is littered with irresponsible pet owners who leave their dog in the dog park unattended or allow their pets to roam off leash, including Lavonda who works in the office. Lastly, they charge for pest control yet I find spiders almost daily including brown recluses.

Over priced for what you get. Hot tub has only worked for a week out of the last 5 months. Had a problem with the bath tub draining took 3 weeks to fix and they did a crappy job. Parking sucks at night, and the parking lot is full of big pot holes. Make sure you read small print on the lease.

Had a good experience until I moved out. I got a job transfer in a different state and gave 30 days notice. They informed me it's 60 day notice (REALLY?) and I would have to pay for a whole month that I won't be living there! OUTRAGEOUS! Then they tried to charge to a bunch of cleaning fees when the apartment was in the shape I got it in. Worst management ever. Do not move in here!!

This place is a dump, the "hardwood floors are cheap laminate. All the upgrades are cosmetic. The bathroom fans have new shrouds but the motors are 20 years old and don't exhaust anything. The paper tents are drafty in winter. The landscaping causes water to collect and freeze on the sidewalks making it tre heroes. The place sucks for a dozen other reasons too. The refrigerator is too small for two roommates in the two bedroom apartments. The fireplace is extremely drafty in cold winter days. The popcorn ceiling attracts dust. Cars get stolen all the time. The patio doors are old and work and even if you get a replacement it's cheap vinyl.

BEWARE! Strap in ladies and gents this is a bumpy review. I lived here for a total of 6 years, I moved out after two and liked it so much I moved back. The last year this place changed drastically! They will nickel and dime you for everything you have. They put in parking meters for guest parking- who does that?! They also have stuff on your rent that says "other", doesn't even say what you're being charged for. Expect to not get anything back on your deposit, they require a "professional cleaning" before you move out and a receipt if you don't use theirs. My apartment had holes in the ceiling for 5 months from the people above me flooding my apartment. But they charged me for "damaged walls" that needed paint (which was normal ware and tare for living there for 4 years, my couch had rested against the wall and that was the damage). They will put letters on your doors of them having to get into your apartment next day with no warning and it's expected that you have your animal cages or out of the apartment for the time allotted- which is generally 8-10 hours. I'm sorry but I'm not creating my dog for 10 hours, plus half the time they never even showed up and they change it to different day. Please save yourself and don't move here, it's not worth the emotional distress and also probably save you money in the long run- if you do move in expect to pay an additional $200 per month due to all of the fees they add on. I don't understand how this place is able to run the way it is, definitely seems criminal the way they spring things on you and the ridiculous charges. This place is awful- don't move here.

I wish I could give this place no stars and currently working on reporting them to the BBB. This apartment is a slum. I moved into the apartment on a Friday and the walls were cracking and pieces were falling on the floor by Sunday. I reported it an they had maintenance to come out. They did a poor job of patching it. The same wall kept cracking and pieces fell on the floor for over two months. The rude maintenance guy came into my apartment, didn't knock and decided to go off on my daughter telling her if she wouldn't slammed the door into the wall it wouldn't be falling apart. Needless to say come to find out one night that there was a busted pipe behind the wall and that is why it was constantly cracking. This apartment complex has some of the most lazy, rude, people working for them. They are not helpful nor do they do anything that they say they will do. They overcharge you try to bill you two, three, and even four times for the same charges and when you complain or proved that the charges are false they will evict you. They even removed the lock from the mailroom so that the mailroom was not secure and the post office stop delivering the mail at the apartment complex. For a month people had to drive to the post office to pick up their mail. They lied to tenants saying that it was vandals but the post office stated that creekside apartment didn't want to maintain or be responsible for tenants mail so that's is why they took it off. This complex is like a prison if you are willing to be screwed over then this is the place for you. I would say buyers beware. I could go into the potholes that will damage your car in the parking lot. The laundry room that was full of water that leaked out of the washing machines. The unmaintained dog park, the none existing pest control that you are charged for but is never done, the maintenance that is performed by individuals that don't know what they are doing and who are rude and will yell at you for bothering them. Oh and the best part is the recent mass exodus that was just done by many tenants either by false evictions or just moving out because of poor conditions. I even had another apartment complex call creekside apartment and they said that they were told that many people were being asked to move out and leases were not being renewed because they were doing renovations. Even she said the conversation she had with Creekside sounded shady. Don't get suckered in, you will live to regret the decision of ever moving in this place trust me I did and now I have to sue them for their billing errors or should I say intentional overbilling to recoup money and to prove that I don't owe them anything. The reviews that give this place one star is true and I should have listen. I have never been treated or mistreated by any place like this.

Writing this while we have been waiting over an hour for a final walkthrough that we scheduled with the leasing office over a week ago. In our two years at this place, Our closet and bedroom floor continuously flooded for over a month causing mold to grow under the linoleum floors, our maintenance requests went unanswered until we had to threaten legal action. My catalytic converter was stolen when I was parked in front of the leasing office, dogs excrement everywhere along with dogs barking and yowling at every hour of the day. Laundry machines will steal ur money and only work every now and then. But unfortunately housing is in such high demand they can get away with these kind of actions, don't give these people your hard earned money if you have other options.

I was looking into moving into one of the units at Creekside Apartments and put down the $50 plus $400 (refundable) holding fee. The website explicitly said the $400 was refundable. Lavonda Maloney was my point of contact. Due to waiting for my proof of employment as well as busy working hours, we played a bit of phone tag, however no more than two days went between communication. When I told Ms. Maloney I had decided to go with a different apartment complex, and asked for the $400 refundable holding fee to be reimbursed, her response was unprofessional and surprising. She told me it could not be refunded due to my lack in quick responses and "the time off the market". The total time from our first contact to the time I moved on to a different option and let her know was 5 days. As I said, I work a busy schedule that requires me on my phone most of the day and sometimes calls do not get returned right away. As I explained to Lavonda, there was no more than two days between communication and the total time was 5 days between when I applied and when I moved on. I find it completely baffling and unprofessional the way tjat this was handled. I'm grateful I did not decide to live under this money-scamming company. With the pandemic going on and the stress financially of that plus moving, it would be greatly appreciated if the $400 holding fee that was said to be refundable would in fact, be refunded.

Highly recommend not doing any business with these people. Super unprofessional, I was approved and had paid my deposit for a unit ready in October, after 3 days of calling and not hearing back I show up to the office to sign a lease. When I arrived they seemed surprised and informed that they in fact did NOT have an apartment for me to move int after they had already taken my money.

It is good but not great. Good location next to CC trail, very close to king soopers target and Bull n Bush. Wish it was easier to have pets here. feels like they nickel and dime you with animal fees. Like most apartments they tend to do cheaper repairs, but the maintenance guys are cool. For the most part the neighbors are friendly Referred a friend here and was disappointed they didn't have a referral program, especially because they upped our rent upon renewal. all in all it is good but just not that great. Update- creekside dug up the entire courtyard by the pool for a dog park that is a month behind schedule. We had a courtyard. Now we have a dog park that nobody can use yet. They promised it would be open for Memorial Day. Just a little taste of what you get here at creekside.

The outdoor fire pit never worked - they intentionally have it disconnected. The rude and unprofessional management did not allow me to get the food and rugs , but they did charge me 150 cleaning fee to remove the rugs from the dryer and they took my frozen food and charged me a cleaning fee !Aprtments are a dirty mess when we moved in with carpet at least 20 years old and filthy windows and no filter on the furnace so every thing had layers of dirt land dust !Greystar is the owner of this property- they wouldn't help me fight the charges and I'm not getting an attorney for 164 plus s 500 deposit! I found out this is their practice with everyone that doesn't renew a lease. If you rent from them plan on issues with hot water heaters that are many years old and furnaces not working or appliance breaking down, with no one repairing them for weeks!

I lived here for two years. The first year was ok even though they raised the rent. The leasing agent we had was nice and always helpful. We then got another lady who was rude, didn't return calls after several days, and was rarely in her office. The rent this place charges is ridiculous! The apartments are old and not worth the money. Please, do your research. You'll find much better places in Denver for your money. Also, be prepared for them to take a big chunk of your deposit for "deep cleaning". Besides the rent there is also a bunch of other fees they charge. You are pretty much paying them to run their business...they'll raise rent and parking every year...you've been warned!

Where to begin...The good: fairly inexpensive for the area, decent pool and volleyball court, maintenance guys are so nice and will do just about anything to try and help you out!! The dog park was cool too.The bad:Bathrooms - shower drips constantly and "can't be fixed"Kitchen- VERY cheap cabinets. drawers constantly breaking/ not closing all the way/ does not fit properly (even after maintenance). Appliances are from the 1960's by the looks of it. Move in day- did not seem all that clean, things were not ready to be used (broken drawers/ stuck doors/ etc) we filed about 6 maintenance requests right from the get goStaff: very nice when we first moved in and once we told them we were moving out (because we felt unsafe after a neighbor vandalized both of our vehicles!!!) they got impressively rude. Interesting how someone can be so nice and then become so mean when you try to remove yourself from a dangerous situation. Maintenance guys were awesome though Parking: we had bought two car ports (30$ each a month on top of the 10$ parking fee) and multiple days we found random cars parked in our spots... it took a while before anything was done about it. And then the vandalism started. My sisters car was keyed and shot at with what we assume to be a BB gun and mine had the windows vandalized and cracked with some scratches on my door. Now, the staff at Creekside did try their best to get to the bottom of it, we knew who the culprit was but without any "proof" there was nothing they could do (even though he has been trouble in the community before) so we decided to terminate our lease and get the hell out of Creekside. Thankfully we were able to leave peacefully and without crazy fees. All in all, save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere. It looks great online but that's about it. Have of the items they have pictured on their website are from maaaany years ago and no longer exist.

Honestly, don't move in here. It's clear this group only cares about making money and not any of their residents. The first night I moved in, my car was broken into with the back two windows shattered. This happened in February 2016 and I am still waiting for someone to follow up with me. The community is terrible at communicating with their residents. For example, an xcel tower knocked out power to the community (I understand Creekside could not control this) and residents did not receive an email about a power outage until 2 hours after the power came back on. Part of the way through my lease, the community decided each car needed a sticker or it would be towed. Their email platform did not work and half the residents did not receive an email stating they needed to come into the leasing office to a sticker. The complex incorrectly towed my car and took over a week to respond to my phone calls and emails. I stopped into the office to learn why they towed my car to only get pushed out and told to read the towing sign to find my car. I was never given a full refund for the towing. My apartment (7J) does not have a functioning shower. I submitted a service request multiple times to only be told that I was overreacting, being a petty woman and I should find another option for showering. Secondly, maintenance shows up without calling. They came one day and left the door open and my dog ran out to go sniff his dog friend the community. (Thankfully the other dog owner knew him and walked him home - I learned about this story from her, not maintenance) Also, they claim to be a dog-friendly community but without telling you they charge you to replace the carpet in your apartment. I understand why this needs to be done, but I would have appreciated being told instead receiving a charge. Finally, when I moved out I was charged for issues to my bathtub (read above - I never used it) and my countertop. I agree both had issues but they were there when I moved in. Yet, I was never given any move in documentation to note these issues. I have spent the last week trying to get in touch with anyone about this and no one has called me back. I am absolutely disgusted how they treat their residents and you don't deserve the headache. Please go find somewhere else. Creekside will charge the same prices as everyone else but it does not have any of the amenities. Also as a single female, I was always scared to use the laundry room because drifters would constantly be in and around the room.

Horrible experience living here. Failure to comply to safety and health violations. I won't bother people reading reviews with long rants, my tip, do not waste your time and money at this complex. Do not give them your business and let them endanger your lives.

Very sad and disappointed. This place is very low quality and not worth the money at all. The kitchen cabinets are made out of cardboard!! Old Outdated Appliances, creepy staff. They just redid the broken parking lot and made the choice spots "RESERVED" and now they sit empty while we still pay for parking.

Just a few more of the issues I have had....The drawer in the kitchen was broken and we had it fixed by maintenance and few days later it broke. We put in a request to get out shower head fixed (it was leaking hot water all day long) and it took over 2 weeks to get it fixed. We paid our rent on time and then a few days later got a notice on our door that said we have missed a payment and were charged a $125 late fee. I checked online and it turns out the payment never went through on their website. I called customer service and they were rude and said there was nothing that they could do.

UPDATE: fridge broke 07/2019 and I just got it replaced today feb 27th 2020! 7 Months without a working fridge! Oh and corporate hasn't responded either. do not rent here. Staff has no respect for your time. They will raise rent on you continuously, without ever fixing any issues. Its like they want you to live here for like 6 months then leave. Corporate doesnt care or respond to complaints, even when youre out of a fridge for OVER a few months Your most likely biggest expense a month means nothing to these people.

AVOID this apartment complex. Worst leasing office and living experience I've ever had. I had a lot of issues through the years. And now after moving out, I am being charged more than my security deposit for various charges. Also, after going into the office multiple times about my move out date, and confirming a move out date was 60 days out, I am being charged $100 for a notice fee?! I went into the leasing office multiple times to have this confirmed. I wanted to move out 7/31, however that wasn't within 60 days. So I agreed to a date THEY gave to me, which was as they stated, 60 days. Because I had to stay 5 extra days in August, I was charged around $400 in rent, which I paid in full. Then after this, THEY tell me I didn't give a full 60 day notice and charged me $100 notice fee? So now I'm paying the extra rent I didn't want to pay, and a fee for not having a 60 day notice on a date THEY approved. The date was approved by Beth and Kathryn. Not to mention I'm not getting ANY of my deposit back from a pretty clean apartment. Everything they are charging me for is normal wear and tear according to Colorado law. I owe them $140 still after keeping all of my deposit. I called to get this charge removed and am being refused. I have received my security deposit back in full from every apartment I've ever lived in before living at Creekside. I wish I lived somewhere else during my time in Denver.

The Creekside staff was helpful and available while selling me on an apartment. Once I moved in is was hard to get some one on the phone at all. Part of the ceiling caved in and they didn't fix it for 6 days. There were wasps nests alI over, wasps got into our apartment. I'd avoid Creekside.

This place is a mess. Lived here for one year. It's definitely overpriced for the apartment you get. Management was a hassle, to say the least. When my dog died, I called the office and asked to have my pet fee removed from my rent. They demanded proof and suggested that BRINGING MY DOG'S ASHES by the office would suffice. I suggested that this was outrageous, and they ultimately backed down. When we moved out of our apartment after a year, we paid the cleaning fees and got our deposit back, and gave us a final statement showing this. Ok, at least they didn't jerk us around on that. FAST FORWARD to now, almost ten months after moving out. Got a call from AIMCO corporate the other day saying there had been an error on my final statement, and I actually owe $500 and change in fees for the apartment I moved out of 9.5 months ago. They sent me a statement dated 5/9/18, which looks nothing like the statement I got on 8/30/17. They keep changing their story regarding the error and have threatened to send me to collections. This place is a huge ripoff and they treat their residents poorly. Google AIMCO to see all the complaints about how they rip off tenants on move-out. RENT HERE AT YOUR OWN PERIL

I'll keep it short, if my only two options were to Live here another year for free or live my car, I would choose my car. I've attached a few pics Of what u can expect. Broken sprinklers get ready for 40 bucks a month in residential water bill, winter wonderland with ice covered sidewalks all winter, needles, mailbox and car break ins, old worn down porches, windows and porch door from the 70s so it's like living back in time with modern rent prices, isn't that fun.

Way too expensive for what it is. They don't do anything about ice in the parking lot and on the sidewalks in the winter, so its filled with massive potholes by summer (those will never be fixed either). The broken washing machines and dryers have never been fixed in the almost 3 years I've lived here. There's no security or cameras, so there are people camping by the mail boxes and dumpsters at night, dumpster divers, and they'll break into your car and steal anything they can reach on your balcony. The no smoking rule is only enforced via mildly worded emails to all residents. You can never get anyone on the phone and their office hours are constantly changing, so good luck talking to anyone about these issues. Only good-ish thing is that the walls are thick enough that you can't hear your neighbors much (but you can always smell them). EDIT: Forgot to mention the weekly gunshots in the middle of the night.

Creekside was an overall unpleasant experience.Pros:-Great snow/ice management.-There was always parking. -Quiet neighborhood, mostly working professionals or people who work from home.-Dylan from maintenance handled most of our issues. He does great work. Seth in the leasing office really knows his stuff and is very helpful. He was never hard to get in touch with, whether I e-mailed, called, or walked in. These two patient men should be given a raise ASAP.These pros do not outweigh the cons.Cons:-They charge a cleaning fee of $125 upon move out. Our lease says that we agree to their move out terms but doesn't mention this specifically. Apartment still had filthy vents (I'm talking thick dust that prevented even seeing the color of the vent), cabinets, baseboards, carpet, and also had earwig infestations upon move-in so I am disgusted that that is considered professionally cleaned. I can't believe they took our money for cleaning when we had to thoroughly clean the mess of an apartment when we moved in.-Paint all over the floors and fixtures.-Doors don't fit the frames. Drawers don't work even after repeated repairs.-All units are different and you don't know what cabinets and counters you get until move-in. We were shown a nice model and given a dirty apartment with low quality cabinets, doors, and so on.-We had bare dirt outside our unit (slippery and dangerous in winter, ugly all year) and we were promised grass at move-in. Neighbor has lived here for 5 years and requested grass several times. Still no grass.-Washers and dryers- the washers leak frequently. Theft and vandalism (hundreds of dollars of our clothes were damaged and stolen) are common and management did not respond to my e-mail requesting a solution to those issues. No screens on windows result in bug issues in the laundry room, and office says they won't put screens in these windows after I asked for screens.-The mail is a mess. They don't accept packages so I spent hours of my year at the post office. Perfectly addressed mail was constantly returned to the people sending it to me. I asked them repeatedly to stop delivering the previous tenant's mail. The list goes on.-No phone service anywhere. Not a good place for a person who needs to take work calls at home. Fine if this doesn't matter to you.-We did no damage to the apartment. I have never received anything less than my full deposit from any apartment that I have ever lived in. After triple charges for utilities, double pet rent, prorated rent for a week after our lease (???), and the professional cleaning fees, we were only returned $54 of our $400 deposit. What a rip off.Overall, great and friendly maintenance and leasing staff but probably the worst management and living conditions I've ever dealt with. Would not recommend this place to our friends and I am much happier in our new apartment.

Creekside was very consumer friendly while renting me my apartment but, after I signed the lease, that changed. I now feel as though I am little more than a revenue stream. Creekside's management team takes a very long time to respond to calls and e-mails. it is not unusual for them to simply not respond at all. This month I found that I would need an extra few days to make rent. I e-mailed hoping to make arrangements. Waited over a week with no response & had to follow up myself. They refused to make arrangements electing to charge me hundreds of dollars in fees. They offered me local charity info because, I assume, they would prefer to take money from charity groups then make minor arrangements with their tenants. After I posted a negative review they called me & suggested I try to get a high interest payday loan to pay their fees.I would not recommend renting from Creekside.

If you are looking for a non-smoking community, do not move here. People smoke on the grounds all the time, and management is aware of a resident in building 13 who has been smoking inside their unit for months and they refuse to do anything more than send out emails saying that "this is a non-smoking community". I have come home multiple times to have my entire apartment smelling like an ashtray. Don't believe the website or the lease agreement, management does nothing to enforce this rule.

I recently lived at Creekside and I have to say, I was highly disappointed with the place. There s a weird smell that seems to come from the water pipes and cabinets. Can t quite put my finger on it, but it smells weird every time you open a cabinet (either in the kitchen or the bathroom.) Definitely need a water filter, as the water doesn't taste very clean and leaves black specks on glasses. Another issue is, I can see sunlight all the way around my front door (from the inside of my apartment - see attached picture) which equals LOTS of bugs. I've honestly never seen so many different bugs in my life (luckily, no bed bugs.) Also, it seems as though bugs are also coming up my tub drain. Almost every other day, I go in there and there are bugs in my tub. 2nd my screens were not on my windows when I first moved in. After I requested that they be put on, I noticed they were ripped (which I assumed would they would have noticed and fixed) and wouldn't do any good keeping even more bugs out. No fresh air for me. 3rd I also had to ask that the cabinets be sanded (pic attached), because they were giving me slivers. Let s see, what else the paint job was ultra crappy paint on the carpet, hair painted ONTO the bathroom door (pic attached), just lazy work, in my opinion. The walls are paper thin and if your neighbor is having a conversation, you can basically hear word for word. Since I ve been mostly negative, I will end on a positive note: the maintenance crew is pretty quick about responding to your requests. Also, the bathroom tile and tub are in good condition. Parking spaces are large, which is also nice. But all in all; way over priced for the quality of what you get.

There are so many equivalent properties in the surrounding area. You can do much better than this place. If you've already moved here, read your lease very carefully and communicate only with email and written recorded correspondence.

Lived her for 3 months already suffered two breakins. First time mailbox, lost package and mail, second time my car, my one month old car, took a lot of stuff from the car. There are no street lights in the parking lot. Talked to neighbors, some people's car were broken into few times. Not a safe place to live for the price. When i told the community manager all of that and told them we are moving out they are still going to charge early termination fee which is one month rent. Also, the apartment is not worth the price, everything is old, only the prices are updated due to market

Do NOT waste your money here. The first day I moved in, a pipe broke under my kitchen floor. After a week without a functioning kitchen, I basically had to beg them to come finish the job they started. It took another week to get the floors, walls, paint, etc. done. And of course, I received none of my rent back for this time and extreme inconvenience. I had maintenance out 3 times to fix my refrigerator. It still is not functioning properly. Basically, it needs to be replaced, but they are too cheap to do that. I complained multiple times to office staff about my loud, messy, frequently intoxicated neighbors. I informed them each time that there were 3 adults living in a one bedroom apartment. I was assured this would be taken care of. Not surprisingly, it is months later, and nothing has been done. Because of these issues, I broke my lease and moved early.

The staff at Creekside Apartments has no regard for their residents. I had an electrical fire in my unit and was told not to be concerned because this "isn't an issue." When I asked if I was the only/first resident to have this issue, the maintenance manager said I was the 4th resident who had an electrical fire. No community members were notified that this was a known issue. Management seemed baffled by my concerns that a fire broke out in my home. I lived at this property for 2 years and would not recommend Creekside Apartments to anyone. What they charge in rent is way too high for the quality, or lack there of, of the grounds or units. The fact that there was a fire in my home and it was brushed off like I was being dramatic makes Creekside Apartments a place where no one should live.

Do not live here. It is old, overpriced, and if you ever need any help with anything ever neither the corporate office or the leasing office is available or willing to help. When they do respond they are very dismissive but majority of the time all you can do is leave a voicemail that never gets a response. My apartment was filthy on move in date and I can't open the refrigerator, stove or dishwasher fully because of the floor layout. The resident portal system they use for everything is unreliable and never works. I would give this place negative five stars if possible

MONEY GRAB APARTMENT COMPLEX!!!! Extra charges that aren't correct, difficulty getting a hold of the new leasing managers where I've had to go down several times to have things straighten out when my several emails have failed a response, increased my rent twice now when the apartment is outdated and nothing has been shown as to why it's worth staying here when their "cheap price" is no longer acceptable for what the apartment offers. Asked for my vents to be cleaned out since I see how dirty and dusty with how OLD the building is, and I've been denied several times. It would be great to stay cool/warm in my overpriced apartment., and be able to breathe properly too. Only thing I haven't seen with this place is cockroaches, and I probably just jinxed myself. Air communities owns this place now, and while there are growing pains the only pain I see is from the tenants wallets. Look elsewhere. I will be gone when my lease is up. Grateful I didn't sign a 2 year lease. EDIT: oh, and they just dropped to a one star. The laundry room is constantly under repairs, broken washer, broken dryers, leaking washers, clearly dirty, old, out of date laundry room. Original price for a load was 1.50. Increased it to $2.00 WITH NO ACCOMMODATIONS WHATSOEVER. Oh, they're all working? RIGHT NOW THEY ARE. Give it a week MONEY GRAB MONEY GRAB MONEY GRAB

A year and a half ago when I moved in I gave Creekside a HUGE thumbs up. James and Sebastian were super kind and always helpful! Dylan the maintenance guy was super prompt and always a pleasure! Now that the new management has come in I have had nothing but trouble. My water system is shut down at least once a month, with just a short 24 hour notice. The new management has no sense of communication, customer service and training their employees. I have felt personally harassed and mistreated by Tiffany the manager and her attitude is always abut protecting herself and the profit rather than helping you with the issues that she is responsible for. If I could take back resigning a 15 month lease I would. I have boasted about creekside in the past convincing three different parties to sign leases here and now I regret it on their behalf. I will say that creekside has a great sense of community, is affordable for the area, and I do feel safe here, but because of the new management I would not recommend as prices raise!

I would LOVE to give this place no stars. That's how bad my experience was. Where to start 1) the grounds were never taken care the whole time I lived there. The side walks were always flooded. I mean always!! During the winter they wouldn't shovel the side walks either! Just was convenient for the staff. Like from the office to the storage room. THAT WAS IT! 2) I had a few work orders that I made.. Never got done. Actually they would just be cancelled. I had a huge hole in my closet that had a major leak. Ask them to fix the leak and the whole. Key word their is AND. The leak got fixed but the hole never did. I even called about it and they said "no worries will take care of it" never happened. The light build outside my apartment went out. In the middle of winter it got dark way before I got home from work and the second floor was pitch black. I asked the staff to fix it and my leasing agent James (who no longer works there because he knew how terrible it was) said it would be done that day. It took them three weeks to fix it. THREE WEEKS to change a light bulb. That's insane!! 3) they have major wasp problems that they never do anything about!!! My girlfriend had to call them everyday for over a week before they did anything and the wasps still were there. 4) I moved out well over a month ago. They say the sent you the deposit back within 10 days of moving out. Still haven't gotten mine.. My girlfriend got here's in a week and she moved out after I did. (We lived in separate apartments) . They charge you for things that don't make sense and the rob you of your money! DO NOT LIVE HERE! I wish I never had

Beware! This place will try to scam you when you do not renew your lease. I've lived here for a little over 2 years. Due to family issues I am needing to move back home out of state. I chose to finish out my lease, but not renew. The policy says you need to give 60 days notice if you are not renewing your lease. I gave 68 days notice that I will not be renewing and will be moving to seattle. The photo of the yellow paper is the date i gave my notice. 5.12.2021. My lease is up 7.19.2021. The second photo is me being charged a $351 "insufficient notice fee". Do NOT rent here. I have been into the leasing office twice now and was told this fee will be removed. But nobody is doing anything about it. Update: 6.19.2021 I have now been into the leasing office 4 times because this $351 "insufficient notice fee" is still added on to my last months rent. I have emailed all of the head personnel at the corporate office, as of today. My next steps will be leagal action. I have been fighting to just get someone to remove this penalty fine that should have NEVER been put on my account. DO NOT RENT HERE.

Wow where to start....I cant even move in to the damn place because this complex only does things via email or online. So you choose your apartment ONLINE. pay your deposit ONLINE, application fee ONLINE. I had to pay $500 just for them to run my application then they give you 72 hours to cancel and still "get your deposit back". Yet they tell you're approved within the 72 hours even though youre really not!!! So therefor your $500 is GONE! This place also has some type of call center which SUCKS BALLS because they have given me incorrect information continously!! It is VERY HARD to get a hold of someone in the office and if you ever do, you've sat on the phone for fuckin ever! I liked the layout of the apartments and the location but the CUSTOMER SERVICE IS LITERALLY THE WORST ENCOUNTER EVER!! The main reason im not moving in is due to the back and forth bullshit for the past few weeks!! I applied on the 17th and turned in all needed paperwork on the 19th....its the 29th and I still have no REAL answer (BESIDES THE CONSTANT "youre preapproved" email) !! Ive been told I am approved, im not approved, im approved under "circumstances" back to being approved with no issue....so if you can have a better experience applying than I did, then go for it! The location seems decent but I will take a loss of $500 to not have to deal with these damn bafoons!!!! Btw sarah is the sweetest, she is the ONLY one I will talk to because shes the only one that makes sense and gives correct information

This place was a nice find back in 2022, but sadly has continued to change, and not for the better ever since new management started. If you are looking for an apartment, a few things to note, that is not listed publicly: $50/y charge to have packages delivered to the complex. $40/m for basic internet (no option to use your own provider), $20/m parking fee, paid parking for visitors, and $100+/m for communal utilities on top of your own unit's charge. 25% rent increase going month-to-month. And a safety note: My car and mailbox were also broken into...plus they take a long time to fix items.

Not the best, not the worst.. but I do not recommend this complex for a multitude of reasons.. Unfortunately, I would hunt around for a better option before living here.. Pros: -They have an extremely great and timely head of maintenance. -Front desk staff is kind and supportive. We had a medical emergency in which they went to bat for us regarding leaving our lease early. (although, leaving our lease early could have been prevented had they enforced "no smoking"- see cons below). -Dog friendly. -Fairly inexpensive in comparison to others (yes run down, but you get what you pay for). Cons: -The staff who coordinate with the leasing agency are flaky. They did appear "on top" of things prior to move-in however, this does change. It took multiple weeks to respond to us, multiple times. When it came to moving out, we didn't get our deposit back for over two months. -The deposit will be greatly less than what you pay as DESPITE how clean you keep your space, they will charge you for a cleaning and painting fee. You will be lucky to obtain a portion of your deposit back. Not a big deal, but something to keep in mind. -This is NOT a smoke-free facility. Yes, they list it as so however, we filed MULTIPLE complaints regarding smoking which were never taken seriously. Ever. Due to an asthma concern, we were able to break our lease however, the smoking individuals were never reprimanded, let alone, asked to leave the facility (evicted) despite being told they would be. Legal action would have been taken if we weren't able to leave. -Guest parking is paid for. Never in my life have I witnessed a complex charge for guest parking outside of a downtown area. Seems silly. -Dirty. Although is a dog-friendly community, there is absolutely no follow-through with making anyone clean up after their dogs. Lots of poop everywhere.

ETA: They send intentionally misleading emails to try to trick you out of your security deposit. You have to give them 60 days notice prior to moving, but they will send you emails giving you a date to renew your lease by. Do not go by this date. The date is intentionally wrong so that you are tricked out of your security deposit. Upon contacting the leasing office about this, they basically brushed us off and said that there was nothing they could do. We lived there for 4 years and we were great tenants. We were extremely disappointed in this treatment. Creekside Apartments is near many shopping options as well as near many parks and a bike path. The amenities at Creekside are really nice, including a pool, fitness room, sand volleyball court, and a basketball court. The complex is also pet friendly, although pet rent is high.

I wanted to live in this apartment complex & they said my dog wasn't allowed even thought he is not listed under the restricted dog breeds. My dog is an Alaskan Malamute & which is NOT a husky or an Alaskan Husky. Completely different breed of dog just google the name; Temperament: Affectionate, Loyal, Devoted, Dignified, Playful, Friendly. My dog is also mixed with Australian Shepard and is is only 60 pounds max. This is what the Creekside website says- No Akita, American Staffordshire Terrier, Bull Terrier, Chow, Doberman, German Shepherd, Husky, Pit Bull, Presa Canario, Rottweiler and Wolf Hybrid. I guess they don't need the money very badly or want to fill their vacant apartments. My dog is crate trained, very friendly, & has been through multiple training classes. It's your loss guys! Update your website to - Call office to ask if dog is allowed.

Creekside is not bad place to live, HOWEVER, what I do not like is the fact that this complex DOES NOT have a 24 hour gym and laundry room. Everything is limited to time restrictions; gym and laundry room. I get off work at 2:00am and not being able to use the gym OR use the laundry room and since I sleep during the day, I do not have time to use the facilities, and IF I should have time, I like to do my workouts and laundry either early in the morning or late at night.

I've lived here for 4 months and in the first 3 weeks my car was stolen and there are no cameras in the surrounding area so nothing was done, I asked for a new parking spot and they pretty much told me to F off and overall it's a bad place to live earwigs fall out of all my faucets and drains, my doors fall off the hinges, it always smells horrible and management is 0 help.

Submitted an application online and was told to call the office because of an issue. I immediately called and spoke with a woman who was neither rude nor polite. After a few minutes of sorting through my issue, I was told to hold for a sec, hung up on, and denied residency (via email). If I'm paying $100 for an application, please have the courtesy to call and explain your choice. Creekside spent less than 20 minutes reviewing my application.

My fiance and I moved here from New Jersey about two months ago, and we love living at Creekside. There are a few things that are annoying, but they can happen at any apartment complex. Loud neighbors, the water temp in the shower randomly changing from cold to hot or vice versa, and the credit card machine in the laundry room hasn't worked in almost two weeks - and there's no change machine. Overall, I'm happy that we chose the apartment that we did, and we are having a very positive experience here. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. Update: I have to lower my rating. Recently we've gotten new neighbors who are constantly blaring music day and night, and sitting in their car all hours of the day, watching me and my fiance as we leave our home or take our dog outside. It's unsettling, and I made a formal complaint, but never got a response from management. Now these people set something on fire on the sidewalk outside of our apartment window, and I've just about had enough. Don't think we'll be resigning our lease here when it's over. These people are ridiculous.

I originally had a positive review for this place stating it was an affordable apartment complex with good staff/maintenance crew. Since then, I revoke my previous review since they have all new management who are just the worst.

I moved out after a year here after they hiked my rent 200 bucks with no improvements. My car was vandalized 3 different times and the front desk office was never helpful or available during their posted hours. The maintenance staff was attentive but their equipment shed gets broken into constantly. Half of the washing machines don't work. The only redeeming quality is the location

The air conditioning in our apartment has failed twice this summer. Each time it's failed it's taken weeks to fix. We've got portable air conditioning units in the windows that are just barely cutting it.
