Detailed Information for Foxchase Apartments

Exercise extreme caution when considering properties listed by the horrible company “AIR Communities” on rental platforms. While their promotional visuals might appear enticing, prospective tenants should be forewarned of a multitude of hidden fees. Beyond the baseline rent, there are significant charges for amenities such as parking, water, and mail services, which often require an additional subscription. The following are crucial observations derived from reviews by past tenants across multiple platforms. It is imperative that you review these insights meticulously to avoid potential regrettable experiences.

Here is 15 reasons why you SHOULD NOT! consider moving into Foxchase Apartments:

  1. Inadequate Parking: Limited parking spaces leading to vehicle damage and difficulty finding spots.
  2. Unresponsive Management: Management is hard to reach and often unresponsive to complaints and maintenance requests.
  3. Security Issues: Poor security measures with unauthorized entries and a lack of action towards reported safety concerns.
  4. Maintenance Negligence: Slow and inadequate maintenance response, impacting the quality of living.
  5. Excessive Fees: Unexpected and high move-out charges, including cleaning and painting fees, regardless of apartment condition.
  6. Pest Infestations: Persistent problems with pests like mice and insects, inadequately addressed by pest control.
  7. Rental History Impact: Negative impact on tenants’ rental history due to association with the building’s issues.
  8. Violated Privacy: Reports of staff entering apartments without proper notification or leaving doors unlocked.
  9. Lack of Transparency: Deceptive leasing practices and hidden costs that are not communicated upfront.
  10. Compromised Living Conditions: Complaints about general uncleanliness and apartments in disrepair.
  11. Unjustified Rental Practices: The rental company’s failure to consider individual tenant records fairly.
  12. Unprofessional Staff Conduct: Staff behavior that is often described as rude and dismissive toward tenant concerns.
  13. Community Disregard: Perceived lack of concern for the community’s well-being and the personal circumstances of tenants.
  14. Inconsistent Policy Enforcement: Selective rule enforcement and unclear policy guidelines causing confusion and perceived unfairness.
  15. Financial Penalties: High costs associated with parking violations and other infractions that appear unfairly targeted.

It’s essential to keep these points in mind and possibly look for other rental options that provide not just a decent apartment but also a pleasant overall living experience.

As a current resident in these apartments i do not recommend this place to anyone So disappointing

Horrible experience - mice and bugs - little to no assistance with either issue. Neighbors in building had double-digit numbers of people living in 1 & 2 bedroom apartments. Drunk in building slamming on doors in the middle of night begging for money. Same drunk passed out by mailboxes. All reported, nothing done about it. There was a constant smell to the ridiculously small apartment that we couldn't figure out....while cleaning out the apartment, I pulled out the fridge and found piles of mouse droppings basically "cooking" on the fridge engine....would explain why we were sick more often that year.... To top it all off, when I went to apply for an auto loan, I find out that I have a hit on my credit from this place....when I call to clear it up, I get sent from one office to another, until I end up having to leave a voice mail. Absolutely ridiculous customer service!!!!

Becareful! This company is a scam. Don't pay if you're asked to do so. They'll charge you with a $50 application fee and reject it with no reason.

Foxchase staff entered the apartment without notice or permission, when I was out of state, and left the door unlocked for five days. When I alerted them the door was unlocked, the complex manager told me I should lock up after them when they enter without permission or notifying me. This is Foxchase. They did this a second time, entered the apartment without notifying me, and again left the door unlocked for 5 days. When I noticed the door was unlocked and tried to lock it remotely, the lock jammed. I called emergency maintance and the police and eventually Foxchase went over to lock the jammed door to the apartment that Foxchase had left unlocked for 5 days. Their management company (the lovely Susan?) said they'd look into it, but, really, she wasn't any more concerned the 2nd time than they were the first time. This sloppy attitude towards notifying residents about entry and then leaving doors unlocked for days could endanger you. I don't know why the app didn't send notifications that the door had been unlocked, but you can't count on it, either. If you're fine with not locking your door in Foxchase, you should know what everyone in the neighborhood knows: most buildings can easily be broken into by yanking on the front exterior door. The building entrance doors on most buildings can just be yanked open with a hard pull. Foxchase fixed the one on my building after a non-resident accosted me one morning while leaving the laundry room, and I reported this. However, they have not methodically addressed the problem throughout the complex (a problem that they know about) with all of the buildings. An encampment for unhoused persons has set up across the street from Foxchase, and the man who accosted me appears to hang out there, and this problem may grow with the worsening economy, that non-residents seek entry to charge phones or for warmth in the buildings. 2 huge tree branches that could seriously injure a person have fallen in front of my apartment. After the first one, I expressed my concern that other trees looked unstable, but Foxchase did nothing, and another branch fell, blocking the entire walkway to my building. Another tree fell a block away, totalling a car. A murdered man was found in the parking lot behind my building. My 3rd floor apartment flooded due to blocked gutters. The management doesn't answer phones. A man, not a resident, passed out on the landing below mine. There have been a possum and a rat in the building, but I never had a problem with insects, even though Foxchase is sloppy about pest control (improper notification). When it comes down to it, Foxchase security and safety is a big risk, their entering without notice and leaving doors unlocked is beyond careless for apartment staff. This is absolutely fundamental. And the falling trees? How long before someone is seriously injured?

I've been living in a Foxchase apt for almost 2 years. Rent prices and service fees are very high and both increase at an alarming rate per month. If you're looking to live in a complex of poorly constructed buildings, zero sense of community, unresponsive management, and random trespassing into your home by maintenance personnel, Foxchase is the place for you! Obviously, do your research to determine what's best for you but I would not recommend the Foxchase/Aimco community to anyone.

Lived here for a year and could not take anymore, had to move out. 1. There are MICE - I requested maintenance maybe 6 times when I lived here and they just kept putting traps that did nothing. To their credit they really did try, but I think a group of mice was living in the building and the only thing that would have helped would have been a full building fumigation. In my year living there, I saw maybe 10 mice; at one point 3 ran out of my kitchen chasing each other. The only thing that helped was I borrowed a cat from a friend to chase them when I saw them... I know gross. 2. Safety - I repeatedly told the leasing office that people in my building were propping the front door open when I lived right by it, and they did absolutely nothing to help. A sign or walk through would have sufficed, but they responded with a canned email and did nothing. 3. Laundry - the electronic payment option for the laundry machines constantly broke so I had to rely on finding quarters to do laundry in the buildings. 4. Parking if the building is on a public street, if you come home later than 9pm, you will have a bad time finding a spot. Now, I understand that that is not the property's fault, and they do offer reserved parking spots at a cost; however, you should consider that if you were thinking about living here, you are probably not gonna find a spot near your building if you are someone who is out and about all day. Plus, they raised the rent by $300 and the reserved parking spots by $20 per month, with no additional benefits, so I did not renew my lease.

Lived here for a year with my partner. Coming towards the end of our lease my partner was attacked by someone's dog in our building. She had to go to the hospital and fox chase tried to sweep the incident under the rug. They never provided any documentation that the dog was vaccinated nor do they hold any standards to making sure all dogs are vaccinated. We were also contacted quite a few times about maintenance having to do work in our apartment, even though we never scheduled a maintenance request. There were times when we were home, heard our door unlock, and then lock again quickly after hearing someone inside. We decided to end our lease here due to the negligent management as well as not feeling safe in the building.

Do not rent here. If it seems to good to be true, it's because it is. The rent is so cheap because the roaches are paying the other half! I have never had roaches and I've only lived here 1 month. In my first two weeks, I was watching tv and a roach just crawled across the wall. Disgusting. That was the first of many encounters. In addition, I've had to contact maintenance 3 times in under a month for multiple reasons. On my move in day, none of my files or keys were ready. It was as if I wasn't even scheduled to move. I didn't get my mailbox key until recently (after I had to go to the leasing office and request one). Never had this many issues in my life. I regret signing here!

I was a resident from 2016 to 2021. The neighborhood is friendly convenient to everything including Metro 395 and 495. Buses are close by as well. Within 2 miles you'll find ample grocery stores shopping gas stations and restaurants. The Maintenance office is good to work with but the leasing office is not. They're very difficult to get in touch with and have deleted my former review as well as forged my signature on the lease renewal and charged me several months rent when I gave a 60 day notice to move. I wouldn't recommend living here at all. Also there was mice in my apartment every year for 5 years. They don't upgrade their apartments unless the tenants pay $200 more monthly. Very poor management.

I lived in the apartment for about 15 months and it started off amazingly. I had no issues. However, towards the end of my contract I became aware of their rat problem and was completely disgusted. My husband and I used multiple traps and they all caught something, whether it was a rat or a small mouse. Moving out was pretty ridiculous. I literally only had carpet in the bedroom and used a rug doctor on it but was charged the move out cleaning fee because of the carpeted area . The day I moved out was the best day i had there. Parking was also a nightmare. I sometimes had to park on the street even though I paid for the permit to park in the lot. Do yourself a favor and find a better place to live. *my opinion is based from when I lived there from 2012-2014.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the way both I and my wife were treated by one of your leasing office representatives, Mrs. Ana Munoz during my recent call and my wife's recent visit to your office. My wife visited the office on 02/15/2023 to inquire about being a head of the house, and unfortunately, Mrs. Ana Munoz was incredibly unprofessional and dismissive. Never she had a minute to listen to my request; let alone to help me bring about a solution. The representative showed a lack of respect towards me and made me feel like I was not valued as a tenant. The representative was rude and impatient, and I felt as if my concerns were not taken seriously. This kind of mistreatment is unacceptable and should not be tolerated in any professional environment. As a tenant, I expect to be treated with dignity and respect by your representatives, and I am extremely disappointed that this was not the case. I have been a tenant of your property for over 7 years and have never experienced such unprofessionalism from any of your representatives before. I strongly urge you to take immediate action to address this issue and ensure that your representatives are trained to provide excellent customer service to tenants. I hope that this review serves as a wake-up call to the importance of treating tenants with respect and dignity regardless of their origin or what program they are under. In conclusion, I will not recommend this leasing office to anyone due to the way I and my wife were treated. I hope that you will take this review seriously and take appropriate measures to address the issue. Sincerely,

Great location and decent prices but the staff are really rude and disrespectful. If I didn't have a contract with them I would have left long time ago.

The outside door didn't lock, had packages stolen , management was impossible to get in touch with, felt unsafe living here, my building smelled like smoke from one of the other units. This was one of the worst apartment complexes I have lived in and wouldn't recommend it to anyone

I lived here happily for several years. When I was furloughed in March due to Covid-19, I did not want to give up the apartment and did everything I could to continue making rent payments on time. My lease ends next month and I am still out of the job - I called and explained all of this, that I do not have the funds to continue leasing due to this, and they explained to me that they still plan to charge me over 2,000 (my monthly rent is less than 1,400) because I gave 30 days notice instead of 60. During a pandemic. This is exploitative on so many levels and really shows that Foxchase does not care about their residents. I hope they are able to rectify this situation, but honestly it seems the whole company lacks empathy.

Wonderful experience before and during move in; however, things completely changed once living in the community. Appliances continue to break, parking is scarce, and the shuttle service to the Metro station stopped a couple months ago. Although I am leaving at the beginning of next month, trying to get prorated rent reduced so I won't have to pay a hefty amount in two apartments was something that was not offered even though I am not staying during the full month/the intended lease date.

Don't know where to start. Admin/leasing office is just a mess. You walk in and sit there for an hr or so before someone finally decides to help. Don't even bother calling because no one will answer the phone. ( you will waste your time). Right now they don't have walk ins, is by appointment only. Impossible to get an appointment when they don't respond to the phone. I have literally been sitting on the waiting area and calling the office and no one responded lol. Currently trying to solve a problem i have and it has been no response for a month . I have send numerous emails since July 1st to try to solve the problem before the new bill comes out, guess what? Well the new bill is coming out in a few days and i haven't got an answer nor appointment for the last month. This is a pet friendly complex but i've been told to keep my dog from barking. They charge a pest fee but there's insects everywhere. I don't know why the fee. Very happy with the maintenance department, The only good thing about foxchase. Amazing maintenance team, very professional and attentive. If you submit a request most times is fixed by the next day. Very happy with their response.

The parking situation has gotten so bad that it now violates OSHA standards. Someone at management hired the lowest bidder to start renovations on the apartments. There are now industrial dumpsters that protrude into the middle of the street, threatening to cause a car accident. And if that isn't bad enough, there are forklifts parked on the street, with the forks left straight up in the air with equipment on them, waiting for a gust of wind to blow the equipment off the forks on to a poor residents car or even worse, someone driving or walking down the street, killing them. If you value your personal safety, please rent somewhere else.

The apartment itself isn't that bad and the location is ok, its the management that makes a person not want to stay. The person who handled my paperwork to convince me to lease here told me that the average utilities for a 1 bed with 1 occupant would be about $50. I'm not holding anyone to this but when you ask what utilities average you expect something close. The minimum water bill is $50 which is billed through the apartment management (you pay for the billing service) so add in electric and gas and bills are much higher. They require online documents to include the initial lease. When this was finalized the website to do this was down. I was also not in Virginia. The person who I was working with was practically in a panic telling me that I would not get the rent amount I agreed to if I didn't sign the lease that day. If I had backed out it would have put me in a bind for a place to live. I had to give a code to him to allow him to sign it for me. He supposedly read everything but that was a lie. When I moved in I had to give my apartment key to maintenance so they could fix the blinds that were promised to be fixed prior to move in, no one seemed to think this was odd or cared that I gave up a key I signed for. About a month in water started leaking into the bedroom. I placed a service order that took three days to be filled. The person who went to fix it called me three times at work to "discuss" the leak. He spent most of the time telling me that I didn't close the shower curtain or had the water angled wrong, as if I didn't know how to shower without making a mess. I repeatedly pointed out that there was no water on the floor in the bathroom just in the bedroom. When I got back that day a letter reflecting the service call was left which stated something in the shower had been replaced. I guess he just couldn't justify not spending the money to replace a part that was leaking without risking me taking further action to resolve the issue. I received a letter of non-payment on my door a couple months later that was dated for the pervious year with someone else name. I had to make multiple phone calls to get that straightened out which ended with someone saying "oops that happens" and I should disregard. I had complained about noise at 2am from my downstairs neighbor but all they would do was send an email to everyone in the building. However, we got multiple letters telling us we would pay a $500 fee for smoking near the building or on our balcony, a second offense is $1000. But the worth experience was trying to move out of this place. I am a military veteran and dependent. We have orders, which too forever to get, but finding someone to work with me to end my lease early was a nightmare. I tried to explain my situation but was told sorry can't help and I don't work at that location, when asked who else I could contact. Beside the stress of having to continue to pay rent and prepare to move overseas when I finally got the orders they gave me a move out date after my lease ended! After many phone calls and emails (I wanted everything documented) they finally agreed to let me break the lease three weeks early. Upon move out I was charged $95. Yes the paperwork says you have the option to select that they clean the apartment for you and that it only costs $90, but they don't care. They will charge you regardless because you have to sign a document when you hand over your keys agreeing to it and when you electronically sign the documents to move out you don't have a choice but to opt for them to charge you. This place is a joke. Every time I was in contact with maintenance they were condescending and the management ignore you unless you continuously make a fuss. I you chose to live here make sure you read every line of everything you agree to. The location is good if you don't mind riding the bus for at least 30 minutes to get to the metro. Overall its pretty quiet and wood floors are better than carpet. The apartments look nothing like the models they show to get you to sign a lease.

Unprofessional workers. you go into the office no one is ever there. no one can answer questions. I had to send out two emails to get maintenance and pest control done to my apartment. This leasing office/office is very unprofessional and unorganized. nobody knows what's going on. Also they are literally only open for about 2-3 days a week what the heck is that? I can't wait for my lease to be up so I can leave! this is beyond ridiculous. do not move here !

Stay away from this property or get ready to have a lot of issue which you cannot solve with the management. Double parking fees, broken heater which was not fixed for 5 days during the coldest time of the winter are among a few more problem I encountered and trust me not the biggest problems I have encountered, funny right? First problem I had with this property started very early on my lease. For some reason the conservice bill was charged after the 1st of the month and as a good resident I was punished for paying my rent ahead of time I tried to contact the management as I received no response I decided to contact aimco and even their supervisors rejected that unfairly charged $100. Second, there is always a flat fee for $100 to be charged for you get ready for that! I have never lived in a place which charged $100 for forgetting your key inside this is freaking unbelievable. Third and not least problem was the one that drove me crazy was when they were not able to process a payment from an account which is mysterious because funds available on that account was much greater than what was paid for and was used to make payments, I was charged $50 this time 🙂 Fourth, people park at your designated parking lot which you pay for every single month, and those are the people who do not have parking permit. Not only that the designated spot is so small they keep hitting my car, I have called and called the office guess what no body has addressed this issue, they just send a friendly notice. Let me tell you it was very helpful 🙂 Fifth, trying to get the hell out of this place. Today, I received an email saying that they will charge me $100 to be exact $107 this time 🙂 for notifying them not within the 60 day prior frame. Thank god I have email communications proving my notice was indeed 60 day prior so I will be able to report them maybe get the last $100 🙂 If you already signed a lease and moving in good luck and if you are looking to live in a new place I would not dare living here or I would rent an apartment near the leasing office so I can easily go there and fight with them every time they did something like that.

DO NOT MOVE HERE. I cannot warn you enough to not move here. If the pests, terrible maintenance of the units and buildings, lack of security measures on doors with broken locks, broken appliances, and administration office's complete incompetence and unwillingness to even return a phone call and even stating that they are not responsible or concerned with the safety of their residents, then our most recent issue should. A clog in the building's pipe caused a flood in our apartment which resulted in damage to our furniture and belongings. They "fixed" it and the apartment ended up flooding the next day too. Maintenance was terrible and offered no communication. We were forced to find another apartment when the general manager accused us of being "hostile and aggressive" towards maintenance staff (because we had complained) and the flood had caused such extensive water damage that they would have to tear out living room walls, baseboards, and possibly floor boards. This turned into a health hazard for my asthma and despite this and the impending construction, the general manager insisted that they required a 60 day notice and despite us telling her upfront that we were moving in a week and her saying that it shouldn't be an issue to prorate the rent, they wouldn't honor it. Now, after having to struggle to receive responses from her, she acts like she's doing us a favor by saying we must pay an entire month that we won't be there. After I pointed out a Virgina statute that stated that in a situation like this, they only legally needed 14 days, she claimed that they "don't follow Virgina law and only follow Aimco law." Do you want to live somewhere where the general manager states that they don't follow the state laws? I've now filed multiple complaints with corporate and with the Better Business Bureau. Please take the time to read these reviews (our mistake for not doing so) and find something else.

Do not choose these apartments as your new house. IT IS FULL OF MICE. You will be crazy of mice. They will live with you together, and it is disgusting. The bacteria they bring will make children sick and every corner of the house stinks. There will be mice everywhere. They cannot solve the problem, and you will have to move. I have lived here for 4 years now, each year the rent increases, mice increase as well, the service gets worse. There might be less problems in their new buildings but, their old buildings suck.

Started out alright until the bugs and mice set in. Dog park is terrible. Just patches of grass and broken dog jumps. I also don't know how many people are living in my building either. People just bang on the door at all hours of the night trying to get In. To finish this review off, my truck was towed last night because I don't have an inspection sticker. I just got my tags a week ago and was going to get my truck inspected this weekend. Zero warning. I understand why they would tow it if it had been sitting there for weeks with no inspection, but this is a new truck. Give me a warning or some notice and I would have got it done the next day. Just a big money scam. Oh and they finally got someone to mow the place today. Grass was a foot tall in front of my building. Don't live here. I can guarantee you it will be a terrible experience.

MAKE SURE YOU DO A WALK THROUGH OF THE APARTMENT YOU MOVE INTO NOT THE STAGED ONE!! It will look completely different! If I could give a negative score I would. The maintenance office is a joke. They can't fix an outdoor light that is constantly flashing into our apartment! We put in 3 service requests only to be ignored. A week later I had to walk down to the maintenance office for them to say it has to be contracted out. FOR A LIGHT!! Secondly there is a real issues with pests. MICE are everywhere. Several requests to have them removed. They simply put down traps. It's a infestation within the entire building ( probably the entire complex.)

My husband and I lived in building 912. I cannot say all the buildings are like this, but our experience at this particular building while at the Foxchase community was not pleasant. Biggest complaint are pests. I understand pests happen, as you are living with many people with different cleanliness standards, but our issue with pests lasted well over a year until we finally saved enough to leave. Roaches and ants are a huge problem in this particular building. When we moved in, our apartment was nicely refurbished, but when my husband moved the fridge to retrieve a dropped utensil, we found old roach motels. A huge RED FLAG 2 weeks after move in. We were told that this was a preventive measure. Days after our call, while watching a movie (late at night) we saw roaches wander around. HUGE roaches, like they've been living there, well fed and sheltered forever. We startling! Maintenance man came by and just added bigger roach motels. Even now that we're gone from that place we joke that we have PTSD from the roaches at Foxchase..lol Loud neighbors were another issue. We don't have children, but I can empathize the difficulty of having multiple children in a small apartment. However, sometimes the noise and the hallway messes were unbearable. We had a kid running up/down stairs with no pants on. Stains in the hallway carpet..just yuck. Parking is also a problem. There were very few spots to park near our building. The facility had 6-7 tenant spots used for their 97' maintenance pickup trucks. Super frustrating, husband was at night school at the time, and ended up taking uber to work/home. If you are broke, and this is all you can afford, you do you. Earn your coins to get out quick. Some positives is the community is next to Harris Teeter and nice forestry trails. But don't expect much. Units are a far cry from their newly remodeled leasing office.

I have lived here for a year in one of the renovated units. At first the place seemed nice with all new appliances, but its just covering up the deep issues of these old buildings. I have had multiple issues with pests- from all sorts of bugs and now mice. I have had both maintenance and the contractors come and fill various holes in the apt, but it seems like there are so many holes in the building its impossible to keep the mice out. I have had pest control come multiple times and the problem has still not been resolved. In addition I've called maintenance SEVEN times for my fridge not cooling. It stops working literally every week and still has not been replaced. While the team does eventually show up, they only provide temporary fixes instead of thoroughly going through the apt and finding and fixing problem areas. Additionally, all of the 2br are on the top floor which is commonly rented to young families-meaning you will hear screaming, crying, dragging of furniture, loud noises all day and night. I am so uncomfortable living here. If you can afford to live elsewhere I would recommend doing so.

If I had the option to give less stars I would seriously. We moved out in August based on the fact that Foxchase is literally the worst place to live. I bought a new car and had to constantly worry as people would park their cars so close that I had to squeeze into my car on a daily basis. I would watch people swing open their car doors and hit other cars and not even flinch. During bad storms branches fall everywhere including on top of your car leaving dents and scratches. That's just the outside. Inside the apartment we had so much mold in our bathroom it was ridiculous. No matter how much I would bleach it, it would always come back full force. Our ceiling leaked constantly... on the top floor and they would come and just paint over it.The pests that you would find in the laundry room were crazy big and very brave. The smell of weed and curry is permanent in all hallways of the building and children run freely up and down the stairs at all hours of the night. Then they have the nerve to charge nearly 1500 dollars for a 460 sqf apartment! RENTERS BEWARE!

This place has MICE! I have requested maintenance to come and handle the problem over 5 times and just put traps down that did nothing. They are really nice people, but when I went to the front office to complain about the problem they were very dismissive of my complaints and didn't seem to care. Even when I went for noise complaint some people told me to call them and not the police then someone else said I should just call the police. I have a couple more months on my lease and I am counting down the days to leave, I can't wait to get out of here.

I'm a current resident. My first unit did not have a washer and dryer so I used the communal machines downstairs. The washer constantly flooded the room and the dryer would almost never connected to the app. My 2nd unit, while bigger, came with a constant barrage of pest control issues. Specifically, I battled roaches from other apartments, a lizard and now I'm battling a mouse. The pest control company is completely incompetent and they send the same guys every time. I'm sick of this place and I cannot wait for my lease to end!!

Hello Everyone, I am writing this review because Foxchase was my very first apartment on my own and I am disgusted at the treatment and unnecessary charges after my move out. When I first moved I was paying for reserved spot but they did not have that spot ready so I was given a reserved spot across the street. They take a very long time in repairing things, I've had my shower handle replaced multiple times and the last time he replaced it he put it on opposite so hot was cold and cold was hot. I did not bother to call again because I knew it would take forever and I knew I would not be renewing my lease. They don't have a doorbell so you have to walk downstairs to open the door for guests. They have a terrible rodent problem which I called about but they did nothing to address the issue. They are roaches in the front of the building and inside. During my year stay I saw one mouse and come to find out there was a huge hole behind my stove and a hole behind my washing machine. The only good thing I can say about this place was my neighbors, my packages were never touched and everyone pretty much minds their business. When you first walk into my apartment it is pitch black because they have no lighting at the entrance which was a huge inconvenience. I had to walk with my phone flash light on every time I came home from work. I wish I had seen these reviews prior to moving in or else I would have avoided this bad experience. They contacted me several times to not move out then charge me $140 for uneven tiles in the bathroom, and $145 in bathtub surface damage for discoloration. Let it be noted that I also had to pay a cleaning fee of $95 but yet was charge for discoloration in the bathroom. I took care of the apartment as if it was my own but if you are moving into this complex note EVERYTHING! Any crack, nook and cranny because if you don't they will charge you in the end. It was my first time on my own and definitely a learning experience. I do not recommend this complex. They have a high turn over rate, for since I've been there 13 months I've seen countless tenants move in and out. Do your homework and learn from my mistakes, do not move here.

Words cannot express how stressful it is to occupy these apartments. When my boyfriend, Jeff signed a lease in August, he was so excited to find a decently sized, decently priced apartment in Alexandria. However, I am in tears over how uncomfortable it is to stay in. When we inspected the apartment initially, we noticed bright blue splatters, which appeared to be paint, on several walls throughout the apartment, both upstairs and downstairs, in the den, in the kitchen in every bathroom. It wasn't paint. It was BIRD SHIT. There were birds living in our laundry room and vents. It took weeks of daily harrassment to rectify the issue. Then, in the warm August and September months, our building on Raleigh Ave was COVERED and I mean ABSOLUTELY COVERED with roaches. I even made friends with a girl in the building over our common complaints about this building. I would literally look at the sky when approaching the building to avoid seeing the roaches scattered around my feet. Eventually they were in our apartment, which through several pest control requests, cold weather, and diligent cleaning have seemed to quiet down a bit. But now, as many of the tenants here have complained, my apartment is infested with mice. I have put in several requests and have even noted that there are so many within the walls squeaking and falling and gnawing and running that I cannot sleep at night upstairs. And mind you, we are on the FOURTH FLOOR. If these issues are so intense here, I can't imagine how many rodents and pests really occupy this building. It makes me itch to think about it. My boyfriend and I sleep downstairs when I am here. The Housing Authority of Alexandria will be called this weekend. We also lived right next door to a man with mental health issues, who even threatened that he had a shotgun while he stood listening to us laugh outside of our door. The police came, but even after several formal complaints about his harrassment, nothing was done about it. This review may not prompt any true concern, but hopefully it can deter hopefuls who think they're making a great decision moving here. He signed such a long lease paying over 1700 dollars a month and cannot even sleep in either of the two bedrooms because of the infestations. This is truly a nightmare.

The apartment is unbearable. The doors and woods broke within couple months of moving in. The public parking is always packed. And they charge for everything. Make sure you read the contract carefully, no like you can stop them from charging you for whatever reason they come up though. Be aware of the hidden fees. Or stay away if you can.

Poor-quality apartments managed by a staggeringly callous and inept corporation. The apartments are not well made and are poorly maintained. Expect lots of bugs. If you're in one of the two-level units, you can expect any air you condition to leak out, resulting in wild temperature variations between floors. You can also count on the main office to utterly fail at communicating maintenance, schedule changes and the like while making their rental terms as obtuse as possible. All this after you're required to sign a "good neighbor" agreement. Don't rent here if you can avoid it. If you're here, get out as soon as you can.

Me and my husband have been waiting for a parking spot for four months. The leasing office has so much turnover that none of the employees know what they're doing. The building is noticeably old with a terrible paint job. The units have been poorly maintained throughout the years. The laundry facility continues to get smaller and more expensive that I've starting driving to a laundromat. They charged us a late fee of $100 for a water bill that was definitely paid on time. Our toilet liner was broken, water was leaking on the floor. I'm fairly certain there's mold under the floorboards but maintenance WILL NOT look. I was told the contractor would be in touch to set up a visit to replace the flooring... three weeks ago. The few times I've walked to the pool it has been padlocked so we're not getting any use of the amenities. The dog park is small with no shade, and uncut grass. I have absolutely nothing good to say about these buildings or the customer service. I recommend looking elsewhere for a place to live!

DO NOT RENT AT FOXCHASE!!! I retract my previous 4-star review immediately upon learning what a financial, physical and emotional death trap this place is. I lived there for a year and almost lost my mind due the disgusting and uncomfortable living conditions at a premium rental cost. Cockroaches everywhere, overflowing trash dumpsters every week, toilet that always became clogged and rarely flushed correctly, outdated and horribly filthy kitchen with old and often broken appliances, loud, rude neighbors that smoked inside and the smell would drift into my apartment and the list goes on. I hated every minute of living there and could not wait to get out of the lease so much so that I subleased the place. Now I'm on the hook for $1600 because the woman I subleased to did not give 60 days notice before moving out and the leasing managers will not work with me on removing the charge. I'm a reasonable person but $1600 for a notice fee is unreal and unfair. I hope no one else has to endure what I went through there for $1600/month hence why I am writing this awful review of Foxchase. Beware and look elsewhere even you have to pay a little more, in the end it'll probably save you.

Don't get sucked in by the low rent you are quoted. They nickel and dime you another 10% or more. You'll pay for your own pest control, like ants coming out of the wall which you didn't cause. You'll have to get insurance for the landlord (not normal renter's insurance). The service companies they use will charge you even more. The billing company they use charges you to send you a bill. Your utilities are outrageous and possibly fraudulent. DO NOT MOVE HERE. Paying for your own pest control is all your need to know about this place to ward you off. Check out ants coming from the basement. YOU'LL have to PAY for their removal.

Stay away from these apartments! These people are rip-offs. They pressure you into signing a lease by increasing the quotation amounts. Then when you leave, they charge you $90 for a cleaning fee even though you clean the apartment better than when you moved in. For one inch scratches on the countertop, they charged me $155. I recommend that if you do decide to rent from these rip-offs; you take pictures of everything during initial move-in inspection to protect yourself. Move-in at your own risk and don't expect to get your security deposit back.

The place looks nice but there are numerous safety issues for the residents. Managers don't handle the tenant's concerns properly and seem they don't care about it. I don't recommend this place to anyone that safety is their priority. The place is full of mice.

This property is very conveniently located and a quite area that is the extent of the good of this property. The office has made my time here an extremely bad experience. During the lease signing with the office I worked with Silvia who made promises that she could not keep. I was told by Silvia that I would be receiving $200 off my first months rent. When I went to pay my first months rent I noticed that the $200 was not taking off the rent. I called Silvia who stated that she would take care of everything and not to worry about it. I waited a little bit to see if there was change there never was and plus they charged me $100 late fee while I was waiting on a call from Silvia. I called Silvia again to see what was going on. When I called this time she said that she was no longer working for FoxChase and was now at a different property under the same management. I asked if she could still fulfill the promise that she made. She told me to talk to management and said that they already were made aware of the issue. I talked to the manger Damon who was not helpful at all. Damon told me that he was not aware of any issue and even if he was there was nothing that he could do about it...great management... Great manager.... They are friendly and nice until you signed the lease..

The leasing office NEVER answers the phone for current residents. For some reason they put in a work order which requires me to remove everything from al of my cabinets within less than 24 hrs on a business day. I have a job. If it's not empty, they'll charge me $75. I've called TWICE and cannot reach ANYONE. It's been an on going issue where you can never reach someone at the leasing office. Hire a secretary if you can't seem to have available staff!!!!! And give your residents more of a notice because I can guarantee you my cabinets are not going to be emptied.

Do not rent at Fox Chase apartments. They show you these nice model apartments and they apartment you rent looks nothing like that. I have been renting here for almost two years and it has been a terrible decision. When I first moved in the shower was not working and it took over a week to get fixed. I was without heat for about a week as well. It got down to 50 degrees in the apartment. When I first moved here they had a shuttle that would fit about 20 people and it would pick you up every 30 minutes. I picked this apartment complex because of the shuttle service only for it to be removed a few month late due to"no one riding it". The shuttle was packed I never rode it with a seat empty. Most recently they did a survey and there was "overwhelming results" for more reserved parking. There were already 5 spots in the lot that were reserved and only 3 were ever used. There are now 12 and they sit mostly empty. Before they added spots I already had a difficult time finding parking now it is almost impossible. I pay $15 per car to park on the street. To get a reserved spot is about $80. This complex does not care about it's tenants. They are just money hungry and are trying to get there tenants frustrated enough with parking so they pay $80 per month. Each year you are going to pay more for less as they take away more and more things.

first i had mice problem for a couple of months. Then their towing company towed my car twice once was a rental car and once was a new car that didnt have a sticker yet. Each time on a weekend and I had to pay 250$ x 2. Washer and dryer broke multiple times. They did repair them in 1 day or two though. Then when my rent was supposed to be monthly 5 days before moving out they said they needed 60 days notice! Even though i talked to them over the phone twice about the rent being "monthly" they failed to warn me they need this long notice. What is the purpose of monthly rent if you need 2 months notice!. Anyway dont live here unless you have to.

I would give it 3 stars if it wasnt for the parking ! The apartments are very nice and spacious ! (Although our Bedroom door and downstairs bathroom door cant close or lock! A little gust of wind will mess up your cable. The washer isn't that bad but the dryer...We have to put our clothes in for two hours just so they MIGHT BE all the way dry and our oven light doesnt work. ) But the parking lot is ridiculous!!!!! Since My husband and I have been here which has only been about 3 months our cars have been dinked , scratched , and this morning I come down to my car to see my rear view mirror tilted to the sky with scratch marks all on the back of it!! We take care of our cars and make sure we always park inside and in the middle of the lines like a decent human being but I still come down to scratches and dings in my car!! IM SO FURIOUS!! AND TO THINK WE PAID TO BE ABLE TO PARK IN THIS PARKING LOT !! We are basically paying to get our cars dented and scratched all over!! We are on the brink of moving because this is freaking ridiculous!!

Fees, endless fees. Also paying for parking is a joke since finding a spot late at night can be impossible due to all the cars without parking stickers that park on site, look elsewhere for an apartment if you have a car. Don't forget about the endless fees to a group of con artists know as conservice, con is even in the name! Edit dropping a star due to issues with the front doors of the apartment buildings. The front door of every foxchase apartment building is secured very poorly by a mag lock which can easily be forced open with a swift yank of the front door no key needed. This method of "opening" the front door of the building was used so much by maintenance and others it got to the point the door of my building would no longer close since it had become so heavily damaged. I put in multiple maintenance requests to have the front door fixed with some being marked complete even no work was ever done. If you're a person who values security look to rent elsewhere because foxchase management doesn't care if you live in a building that can be accessed by anyone who just pulls on the front door.

Everything good about this apartment is overshadowed by the cockroaches. Management has been in multiple times to try to control the issue (at least they've tried), but nothing seems to work. We live with cockroaches. From asking around, it seems that not every single building has a roach infestation, but many do. I recommend not even taking that risk. Being afraid to walk into the kitchen to make dinner or be home alone and encounter a roach does not feel like home. I'm looking forward to the end of the lease.

I had a friend recently move from here and it reminded me of my experience. I lived here from 2012 to 2015 and there was always some mess going on with our building. The A.C. unit broke down 2 different times and the administrative office seems to take their sweet time with notifying maintenance. Me and my roommate also kept having an issue with mice when we hardly ever used the kitchen let alone left food in there. After hiring an exterminator it was revealed there were multiple holes within the walls they were coming through go figure right? The rent was the most irritating part because it kept going up. When we first moved in we were paying $1,426 monthly for rent alone. The following year they tried to bump it up to $1,785 a month for the same type of lease we had before! We talked them down to $1,602 but for our final lease our rent was raised to $1,860. They weren't willing to negotiate with us that time but luckily that was the last time because I found a new apartment and my roommate was going to separate from the military anyway. The best part was when we had to do an early termination with about 2 weeks left on the lease. They were going to charge us both individually 3,000 and something a piece which came out to $6,300 total! Thing is since my roommate was separating the military his orders would validate us from having to pay a fee but the administrative office would NEVER pick up the phone or respond to voicemail or emails. I took this as them not trying to honor the military clause which is FEDERAL LAW by the way and made an appointment with the legal office at the base I worked at. Fortunately for Foxchase they contacted my roommate the day I was going to take action. They said they were "validating" his separation orders. After that 3 weeks of trying to contact them they finally removed the outrageous fee and we paid a small fee for cleaning the apartment but man I always recommend people to look elsewhere to this day. Maybe the management has changed by now and I seriously hope it has because the actual apartments aren't bad at all the management just ruined everything for us.

I moved to -foxchase apartments in May 2020. Since I've moved here my experience has been great! I have really enjoyed the neighborhood as I've been able to walk around on the trails. When I see neighbors they wave or speak to me. I love being able to walk to the grocery store or to restaurants. It was difficult to move here during the pandemic because I didn't get to see my actual apartment until the day I moved in. However the staff did give me a virtual tour and let me come and look at a model apartment before I actually moved. Recently had an issue with my air conditioning on a Saturday morning. I put in a maintenance request online and 20 minutes later the maintenance guy came and fixed my air conditioning within a few minutes! I am very pleased with my experience thus far. I am editing my review. It is 1/31/21 and it is 1:49am and I am stuck with a mouse in my apartment for the second time. The first time I had a mouse in my apartment was in October 2020 and it was here for a whole month. Pest control and maintenance came several times to lay traps and seal holes. However, tonight has proven that not all the holes were sealed up. I am really upset to have to live like this. They just added a pest control fee to the rent because they have an issue with pests all over the property'. I think It's very unfair that I have to pay a pest control fee when I continuously have to have pest problems. I will not be renewing my lease.

If I can give 0 star,.i will gladly give it. The staffs are not helpful. First of all I have problems with parking, get back from wrk around 10 pm and I have to walk in the dark alone for 20-25 mins to get to my apartment.i wasn't paying any parking fee at my old apartment but always got a parking spot near home., they never said anything about reserve parking until I moved in... secondly when I moved in for the first two months my bills remained the same till the third month (January 2018)..when I was gonna pay my bills and realized they added an additional fee to it and when I went to the office to ask them about it ..they just gave me a cock and bill story about how utilities and sewage and stuff..when I came to sign my lease , the lady told me everything has bn added and that the amount of money I will be paying is what I see on my lease but I moved in and it is a different story..I will advice any new tenant moving in here to be very careful with them .. they are not straight forward.. if I have ever regretted anything in my life.. it will be moving into this apartment..I wish I could just leave .. a lesson learnt.. always read reviews before purchasing something..

I lived in Fox Chase for a year and the only good day was the day I moved out. The day I moved in the apartment was disgusting, so disgusting I had to go clean it myself, something the apartment complex supposedly does . In the spring time ants were a big problem as they were coming from everywhere, the apartments supposedly spray but I never saw pest control there . Parking is terrible and it was a waste of money to pay monthly when I had to park on the street every night. They do not take care of the grassey areas as I had a dog and had to be very attentive as often times I would find shattered glass in those areas. Also the people that work there would throw their food all into the grass areas instead of a dumpster. When it comes time to move out they will charge you a $90 cleaning fee which I was told I did not have to do as long as it was move in ready. After spending a day cleaning they still charged me the cleaning fee and the place was spotless compared to how it was when I moved in, and this was on top of me going to the leasing office and being told they would credit my account for the $90 which they never did. This was a terrible place to live and I would never recommend this to anyone the staff is not friendly and just want you out of their hair. If you are looking into moving in Alexandria, don't move here there are much better apartments to move to.

: A Disappointing Experience at Foxchase Apartments I regret to share my extremely unsatisfactory experience with Foxchase Apartments. From the beginning, there was a lack of honesty and transparency. The information provided during the leasing process was deceptive, leaving customers feeling misled. The issues extend to the poor service quality. Communication was consistently subpar, and concerns raised were met with dismissive responses. Maintenance requests were often delayed, and when addressed, the solutions were temporary at best. Parking has proven to be a nightmare, with insufficient spaces available for residents. This has resulted in an ongoing struggle to find a parking spot, leading to unnecessary stress and inconvenience. The living conditions are simply uninhabitable. From pest infestations to unresolved maintenance issues, the overall environment falls far below acceptable standards. The promised amenities were either nonexistent or in a state of disrepair. In conclusion, my time at Foxchase Apartments has been marked by disappointment, frustration, and a feeling of being misled. I hope this review serves as a cautionary note for potential residents, urging them to consider their options carefully before committing to such an unsatisfactory living arrangement.

Maintenance gave one of my neighbors the skeleton code and he often uses the code to gain access to other people's apartments. He admitted to switching his old fridge out with somebody else's. I know for a fact that he used that code to root around in this young girl's place because he told me all about it. The maintenance workers noticed the contents of my apartment and recognized me as an adult film star. They decided to talk my ear off often about the adult film industry as well as loom around my female friends when they were in the neighborhood. I never disclosed my identity to anyone there (except for the foxchase employees who had access to my apartment). This is a very "My First Apartment" community. You get a ton of teenagers/college students up in those apartments with their friends who get wasted and tug at the locked door until it opens (essentially breaking the lock- so the front door was unlocked for a good majority of my time living there). The upstairs neighbors stole clothes out of my laundry load- we all use the same laundry facility in the basement. (I caught one of their frequent visitors wearing a floral shirt of mine that a relative sent me from Hawaii- unmistakably mine). I ended up having to call the police enforce some manner of rule into the building (those who stole my clothing were young military men who tried to intimidate me by threatening to jump me). I was told by Foxchase's management that the men were "about to move out" so, I should just "avoid them". The cockroaches were a huge problem in the beginning and had to be treated frequently throughout my first three years living in foxchase. The MICE never really went away. You could always hear them in the walls during the winter. I was planning on living here for a few more years because the price was alright for me and it was so set back that I felt safe blending in until the morning of President's Day when some old woman who works in management came banging on my door, shouting at me about how she smelled weed in the building. She issued threats and critiqued my lifestyle (my dog was nervous and had peed on the floor- this was like 8am on a holiday, so I wasn't alert or coherent in the least). After passing this judgment, goofing on my dog's accident, and making disparaging remarks about my colorful lifestyle, they all grinned at me like I was a fool and carried on their merry way. One good thing: N. Imboden St. parking is free, so you and your guests can go ahead and park there all you want without paying for a permit. Go nuts. I know I'm gonna be telling out-of-towners to park there and uber into the city (just because I have an axe to grind with foxchase at this point).

Do not rent from foxchase! The management is impossible to get a hold of. They don't return emails or phone calls. They emailed only myself and not my roommate saying we have to give 60 days notice to move out. This was 7 days before that 60 day mark. I was busy working and when I made it down to fill out the paperwork (11 days late) they told us there would be a fee but they could not tell us how much. It turned out to be $740. No where on their website or in any email did it outline the late policy, which is they charge you a full day of rent for every day late you are in filling out the paperwork. The leasing office didn't mention that policy other than we will have a fee charged at some point. I spoke with a manager about it and requested it be reduced or removed. It was removed from our bill. Then magically after we moved out and paid our final rent it appeared again. Their response was that the request for a reduction or removal was denied. They say customer service is important to them but that is not true. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM.

Last update: I moved out. I will say that they did send me the check of my original deposit which I'm grateful for. My previous apartments made up fake costs to keep the extra money. Update June 2018: Upon hearing all of our cries of how bad the parking was here at Foxchase, management sent out an email to the residents asking what they could do better. Well, somehow management has made it worse. Basically, instead of having only two or three reserved spots ($40 a month) in each lot, they have decided to turn 50% of each lot into reserved parking. I spoke with them in their office and they said this guarantees that more people will have spots now to park, but that's not it. What it actually is is they want people to pay more for parking. Most who live here pay the $10 fee to park anywhere in the parking lots and management wants to change that that so to bring in the extra cash. The new issue is that now you have to park two to three blocks away to finally find an open spot. Even today I came home and by 5pm every normal spot was full and the "reserved" spaces only had two cars in them. The office told me though that I can either continue paying the $10 in the lot even though I am no longer guaranteed a spot, park for free in the street (though that's a gamble as there are rarely street parking spots available), or pay the $40 a month and have a spot in front of my place. They even told me that most competitor apartments around here charge $50 - $150 to park your car each month so this was still cheaper. My response was that when I moved here partially because of the parking cost and they didn't care. Original: My score is based only on parking conditions at Foxchase. Parking is in tiers. Free on the street, $10 a month for the lot and $40 for a reserved spot. They have so many empty reserved spots and so little overall parking that I just spend 23 minutes looking for a spot and the closest one I could find was half a mile away at 1:30am with barely any street lamps. This is stupid. Also, I've had 7 maintenance requests for my apartment I'm in for problems from the AC unit, electrical, black mold and more. The apartments are inexpensive and large for the area and it's nice to have washing machine/dryer in my apartment but they are old. I would give the apartments a 2.5 out of 5 based ONLY on the cost and the location (which is in Alexandria).

My wife and I went here to view these apartments and even signed up for a 1 bed room apartment. But due to family situations we couldnt move in to these apartments. We lost 550$ to them for nothing. Basically these guys are money minded and after having talking to many tenants there, I learnt that they are the same with everyone. The apartments look so old, painted in the exterior but when you get in, you know that they are actually not well maintained. Apartment is tiny and I got this feeling that they have remodelled a studio apartment into a one bedroom apartment just to get more money. When you walk around the area you can see many rats running around. I really pitty the people living in the ground floors. I even heard from another tenant that they actually get many centipedes and millipede worms creeping into their apartments. In a way I am happy that we did not move in to these apartments. Please do not go for the price.

Just adding to my previous review to give an example of living at Foxchase. Went down this morning to the on-site laundry room and the washing machine and dryer (and there is only one for the entire building) have been removed. No notice, no email, nothing. Called immediately and was told they had no idea why. Sent 4 emails, two automatic reply as they were out office and two have not replied. This is a perfect example of the kind of "concern for residents" you can expect! They may "promise" sufficient services but no guarantees!

I have never cared about writing reviews but after living in this place I had to write one to help people avoid this place. My car got towed last night after living there for 9 months. I parked at the same spot every day but they towed my car last night just because! They will charge you money for everything. I'm living by myself and a dog my water and electric bills are $60 and up! I asked the admin they said I have to pay for people a whole building which is not fair for some one who work all day and come home to sleep like me. Oh yeah the do have a ton of people who live there for free for a lot of issues. Do you want to pay for those people? They don't work and have a big family. The entrance doors to the building are always broken . Do yourself a favor and avoid this headache. Office staff is not helpful at all they could care less to be honest. For the amount you will pay you can do a lot better elsewhere. Before you sign the lease they will treat you wonderful after you move in you won't hear nothing from them. I have called and let the messages every time when I need help. No one ever call me back ! Staffs are rude! I don't know how those people are working as a costume service if the have bad attitude and lazy like that. Again do not live here! Worst place I ever live in my life. Only thing good is location!

I moved into Foxchase November 2013. I took the apartment that had the least amount of maintenance issues. I've never paid my rent late, and never had any complaints besides the few maintenance tickets I put in. November 2014 I signed for another year. My initial mistake. MY SECOND YEAR WAS HELL!!! November 7th 2015 I finally let management know I couldn't take the issues anymore and needed to move out immediately (after staying in hotels for the past month on and off because of the mice infestation). Long story short, it resulted in me getting a very rude phone call from their "customer care" department today saying i owe over $7 THOUSAND DOLLARS for ending my lease or I would have to get an attorney! Issue One-My apartment had a serious mice infestation that lasted a few months. I could hear them underneath the floor and in the walls. I killed one by hand and my fiance caught one. Family and friends were afraid to visit, and I stopped cooking at home for fear of catching diseases. I am very clean. Never left food or dishes out. I pay pest control fees to foxchase/AIMCO every month, yet the issue was never resolved. ( I was told it was because of construction to the building behind me). Issue Two-I paid $40/month for a parking space. I went on a 8 day vacation and SOMEHOW Foxchase "mistakenly" had my reserved parking sign pulled up and my car was towed. I came back with 2 large suitcases, a dead phone, at11pm at night, to no car (PS. I also left my house keys in my car while on vacation in case my luggage was lost).I walked to 7-11, with suitcases and caught a cab to the tow company. Although Foxchase later reimbursed me for my tow fee, the inconvenience was horrible. And they only reimbursed me after I had to prove to them, by way of a picture I happen to take, that my car was in a reserved space. Because, SOMEHOW they had no records of me having a space, nor anyone pulling my sign and removing my painted space decal Issue Three-My electric bill was around $300 dollars some months. I had a gas stove and lived alone. After making Dominion Power come out several times to check the issue, a Technician finally said I should check my dryer vents. Foxchase/ AIMCO maintenance came and cleaned my vents and I continued to have the same electric bill issue. Only until I ended up calling Sears and paying out of pocket to have an HVAC tech come out. The tech said my vents were so backed up, that with my vents opened they could barely tell if the dryer was on or off , the backup was so bad and old that you could not see the trash "breathe" ...$99 later the issue was fixed ISSUE 4-I got out of the shower one morning and came downstairs to get a towels out of the dryer, I had no clothes on and a maintenance guy just opens my front door. I called and complained because I put a permanent note on all of my tickets that say, call before entering because there are women in the apartment. It happened a SECOND AND A THIRD TIME. As of 10/31/15, I was all paid up .Here is an insert from a letter I wrote on 11/07/15 "The living conditions are intolerable, with mice running around ( I have picture of the droppings the left around the apartment, and videos of the noises they make while running in between the walls at night.... I cant take it anymore and it's unfair for me to have been staying in a hotel as well, because the pest issue was never fixed. (please see attached pictures, and maintenance letters, and hotel receipts)..." Update 11/29/17. Foxchase had someone reach out to me regarding this issue only to appear as if they were trying to be helpful in reviews. I have not heard from Foxchase since. Instead, they took me to court without sending me any court documents, a phone call or an email. NONE of my information has changed, my emergency contact and contact for non-payment never changed, the address I moved to was the same address on my driver license. I was found guilty in my absence. Someone contacted me with the same issue. If anyone else experienced issues like this and are interested in entering a suit, contact me.

Haven't moved yet wanted to talk to management about something that wasn't disgusted on my Iease that I didn't agree with. I called them early in the morning and left a message and still didn't receive a call. Are they that busy that they cannot pick up tenants call. In addition the wall are very thin where you can hear your neighbors doing everything. (Walking, talking)

I have been waiting for my deposit refund check since my move out in July. When I contact management to get more information on when I can expect to receive it, they give me the run around and then never reach out with an update. At this point, I am not expecting to receive my check and will unfortunately have to pursue external escalation since there is no resolution internally.

If you frequently deploy for work, do not even consider this place. I received orders to deploy and the company will not work with me. My lease ends while I am overseas and the complex still made me pay the rest of my rent.
