Detailed Information for Mezzo Apartment Home

Exercise extreme caution when considering properties listed by the horrible company “AIR Communities” on rental platforms. While their promotional visuals might appear enticing, prospective tenants should be forewarned of a multitude of hidden fees. Beyond the baseline rent, there are significant charges for amenities such as parking, water, and mail services, which often require an additional subscription. The following are crucial observations derived from reviews by past tenants across multiple platforms. It is imperative that you review these insights meticulously to avoid potential regrettable experiences.

Here is 17 reasons why you SHOULD NOT! consider moving into Mezzo Apartment Home:

  1. Elevator Issues: Guests and residents have reported being stuck due to strict elevator code requirements.
  2. Unprofessional Service: Multiple complaints about unprofessionalism from the office staff to the concierge.
  3. Deposit Issues: Difficulty in getting deposits returned, with added charges that are perceived as unwarranted.
  4. Misleading Presentation: The property looks appealing online, but in-person experiences describe it as old, dingy, and poorly maintained.
  5. Management Issues: High turnover of management and concierge services has reportedly led to a decline in quality.
  6. Parking Concerns: Ongoing issues with parking gate repairs, compromising the security of the so-called “secure parking”.
  7. Lease Concerns: Changes in lease terms without notification, particularly concerning early termination clauses.
  8. Pest Issues: Reports of roach infestations that persisted despite frequent pest control visits.
  9. Appliance Problems: Instances of non-functional appliances like dishwashers, with inadequate solutions offered by management.
  10. Poor Building Maintenance: Complaints about old carpeting, worn-out interior decoration, and outdated common areas.
  11. Guest Restrictions: New restrictions imposed on guests, including charging them for parking.
  12. Bad Customer Service: Potential renters had issues scheduling property viewings and were met with unapologetic responses when appointments were not honored.
  13. Broken Amenities: Frequent issues with broken elevators, non-functional resident parking gates, and dated interiors in some units.
  14. Rent Increase: Despite the aforementioned issues, some residents reported rent increases upon lease renewal.
  15. Safety Concerns: Reports of vandalism and theft in the parking garage, leading some to believe there might be internal security issues.
  16. Illegal Room Marketing: Some rooms marketed as bedrooms do not have windows, which is reportedly illegal.
  17. Move-Out Issues: Multiple complaints about unfair charges upon moving out and poor communication with management during the move-out process.

In summary, potential tenants should exercise caution and conduct thorough research before considering Tremont Apartments as their next home. The consistent themes of financial concerns, management issues, and maintenance problems, among others, indicate that living there might be more troublesome than it’s worth.

Horrible. We came yesterday July 31st to view the apartment they said they don't do walk-in only by appointment. We booked a appointment for August 1st @2pm. We drove all the way from Lawrenceville to buckhead which is a 45 min drive plus traffic just to get here & the property manager says no she's not taking anymore appointments because she's pregnant & hungry. What does that have to do with us? I asked why didn't get a call/email stating the cancellation before we drove all the way over here. They didn't have an answer, they was very unapologetic. Uncaring. That right there shows bad customer service already. Very disappointment I was really interested in these apartments too.

This place has horrible customer service. It is very difficult to get hold of someone to make an appointment and then they tell you to make one online. The management of the building is unprofessional and unorganized. I will never try to rent from this ridiculous place again.

If you go here as a guest MAKE SURE your elevator code is CORRECT and you understand how to use it before you get on OR YOU MAY GET STUCK! The elevator will not open doors or go to lobby level without it, had to pry the doors open with my hands and walk down the emergency stairs, where the concierge treated me like I was less than competent and said she was watching me on the camera as I called for help to get the doors open...

I drove all the way down from Gwinnett which is not close (aprox 45 mins) in traffic to take a tour of the property AFTER scheduling an appt the previous day just for the property manager to not show us the unit. Very horrible customer service and she seem unapologetic about it as well I am very disappointed. They try to use an Excuse of her being pregnant and hungry which is not my issue. I was willing to drop a deposit today because I do actually like property but now I'm just going to go somewhere else.

Worst facility ever! The security must not be getting paid since the government is shut down. My CAR was vandalized and ALL my items were stolen within minutes. I feel like it was a inside job. I was told, I was the 8th CAR in the same parking garage this week. I will need to speak to the board. Something MUST be done!

I had a showing at 2pm today, arrived exactly at 2, told the lady at the front desk I had an appointment and she called the person who was supposed to show me the apartment. She called and messaged the manager, the person in charge of showing and no response! Waited 40 minutes and still nothing from management or the person who was supposed to show us the apartment. I am beyond DISAPPOINTED and will NEVER return here again. They clearly don't deserve my money, let alone my time. Worst experience ever!!!!!!!!!!

Terrible. I went for a tour for their 2bedroom/2 bathrooms, it was nice but I noticed that one of the rooms was more of a den because it did not have a window which is illegal to market as a bedroom.

Do not live here. The new management team is horrendous. Our apartment was infested with roaches and after two and half months of pest control coming 1-2 times a week, they were still unable to fix the problem. On top of that, the dishwasher did not work and after two months of not fixing it, they told us they could "give us a key to another unit and we could use that dishwasher". We were beyond patience but finally gave up and decided we had to move out. The day after we moved out they emailed us a bill for $1200 because we were 10 days short our 60 day notice, even though we had been telling them for two and half months that we would have to move out if they could not rectify the problems listed above. Also they never informed us we were short the 60 days when we gave the notice. Management rarely responds to emails and phone calls. This experience aside, overall the individual unit was not well maintained and could not stay heated in the winter and cooled in the summer. The building often smelled of weed/cigarettes.

My friend and I went in, in hopes of receiving a tour of these so-called luxury apartments(not service). Immediately, after entering we were told we had to have an appointment by the front desk receptionist. We then proceeded to ask him if he could make us an appointment then, he told us we had to do it online. No problem, we go online and set an appointment and come back in to wait. The front desk receptionist questioned us and asked who we had an appointment with, like our request was not valid. He said he would contact the person who I believe their name was Ashely. Ashley confirmed our appointment, but asked us to come in another time because he had another property appointment to go to. It is to my understanding and displayed on the website/front door that this property does not close until 6PM. We were there promptly at 4:45PM for our 5PM.

Great living there but the move out is a nightmare. Charging for things that we were not responsible for. When ask to talk to a manager they said they would just send me to a collection agency. I believe I was talking to the reps with AIMCO who is the owner in Colorado. Beware!

They wanted to (and still are) charging us to replace the entire wood floor when only a very small portion had any damage at all and it was minimal. Also, they blew us off for a move out inspection. Twice.

While I love the size and views of my unit, all of the things that I moved to the Mezzo for are all being taken away. Not to mention that the carpet on the floors when getting off the elevators are old, dated and in desperate need of replacement. Examples of take-aways: Key fobs for doors and elevators. 24/7 Concierge services and believe it or not, they have implemented guest restrictions. To make matters worse they have decided charge guest to park in the parking deck. Yes, my guest are being asked to pay just to visit me. Many of my neighbors have expressed the dislike of the direction the management has chosen to take, despite what the tenants are saying. All falling on Death ears. Myself and others are having growing concerns about the future safety at the building. Just be mindful of the things that I just pointed out.

This place is run down with cheap worn-out interior decoration. The building is old don't let the pictures fool you. We got a 3 bedroom 3 bath rental. 2 out of 3 bedroom door did not lock. The room I was in the doors didn't lock, blinds were missing nor worked, bad plumbing when your showering your standing in a pool of dirty bath water, we couldn't even use that shower because water would get everywhere. 2 jacuzzi tube neither worked properly. Parking area is not safe, very tight spots. The staff is hit or miss my last night I was met by one very unprofessional messy individual his behavior was uncalled for.

There's all something broken every time you turn around. The majority of the time the residents are all sharing 1 elevator and there's no separate freight elevator for move-ins. Then there's the resident parking gates which are only functioning 65% of the time, which is extremely dangerous. I've lived in buildings which were way less expensive with far better, more reliable accommodations. Half of the units flooring and countertops are very dated as well as the color of the walls. The common area is also very dated, although I no complaints about the interior of my actual unit. On top of the constant, repeated inconveniences they decide to raise the rent upon release renewal. "We apologize to our residents having to wait 10 minutes for the elevator and to show our appreciation for your patience and loyalty.... here's an extra $100 a month on top of your rent."
