Detailed Information for The Summit

Exercise extreme caution when considering properties listed by the horrible company “AIR Communities” on rental platforms. While their promotional visuals might appear enticing, prospective tenants should be forewarned of a multitude of hidden fees. Beyond the baseline rent, there are significant charges for amenities such as parking, water, and mail services, which often require an additional subscription. The following are crucial observations derived from reviews by past tenants across multiple platforms. It is imperative that you review these insights meticulously to avoid potential regrettable experiences.

Apt.s & balcony's are great. Management is a revolving door. Gina's great when she's on-site (rare). We (and others) had problems with MICE. They sent a couple of useless exterminators. Problem never resolved. Mice did thousands of dollars in damages. I actually saw 1 knock over a family heirloom crystal statue; it knocked over a lead crystal vase & then the mouse ran under my couch. A Ha! The 7 seater, open up bed & lounge was home to a "mouse family" & LOL: they didn't even share the rent! Couch had to be discarded. Our renters Insurance & theirs paid 0. We were planning to move to Fla., so were stuck there for 4 months. Have been gone for over 2 months & just got a huge bill AFTER all was clear (except for the last utility bills). Billed for things we haven't a clue about. Think maybe it's time to get some advice.

I moved out in June and just today (10.26.2018) received my reimbursement for my security deposit. This is after multiple emails and phone calls since July 1st. They finally returned my call on October 9th and said the check was going out. Well the check received today was for $47.00. Not the $1575 that it should have been for. There was not a nail in any wall, I paid 275$ for a move out cleaning service, the place was immaculate when I left, even cleaner that when I moved in. There was not an explanation, just a check in an envelope.

Never get APT without physical walk and until you ensured everything is fair upgraded. The AirConditioning is the worst part, make noise like you sleep close to the Jet Engine. The funny point An Small Unit of the air conditioning unit installed for two big rooms, while the bigger two units install for small Hall, the maintenance team saying no solution for this, this is how the infrastructure is. that means you can't sleep in the rooms when there is no Airflow. Since I moved got allergy because of Airflow system is from the 1980 setup, wish if I could know before i move.

DeWayne is incompetent, unprofessional and spends most of his time chatting it up with other residents, on his phone or blankly staring off at the computer screen. He treats the leasing office like a lounge and seems less than eager to assist with business matters or answer questions, as if assisting residents is an inconvenience. He lacks the personality, skills, politeness and attentiveness necessary for that position and it is somewhat astonishing that he managed to get the job. If that is what Greystar is employing him to do, that is not money well earned or money well spent and he is doing the property a disservice with his mediocre customer service.

Although the prices are extremely great for the size and upgrades you get. The upgrades and work is very poorly done. The front office staff has changed at least 5 times in the 9 months I have been here. They have assigned two people the same parking spot accidentally and my roommate has gotten towed. The maintenance individuals although extremely nice, are not competent to fix the issues. As my toilet has overflowed 6 times (filing the bathroom with 2+ inches of water) due to a broken part in the back of the toilet, and they said it's been fixed inch time, but it still continues to overflow with no excess of toilet paper or prompting. Also the staff act extremely annoyed and aggravated by the requests, without understanding the frustration that comes with cleaning up 2+ inches of water several times. If your sole purpose is to find a larger apartment for a cheaper price it's a good find, but if you are looking for higher quality staff, amenities, upgrades this would not be the place for you.

I have been trying to contact the office for the past three days and nobody picks up and I get sent to an automated message that hangs up on me. Is there a way to actually call this office?

Great apartments and bad bills the utilities are around $350$ to $450 a month when you try to call gray star about it they never answer or return your call for a second parking spot in the garage is $125 and the first car is $50 the manger Gina is nice but gray star company have 1.5 star review if you search them up the apartment are nice but bills can be a car payment!!!! Way too much they keep going up no matter how much you use it. it's spilt between the whole building so if you have one bedroom you still pay the same as 4 bedroom apartment not fair

I can't believe this place calls itself luxury. They're far from that. Yes the apartment unit/balcony is big and spacious but that's pretty much all I can say. Management is in total disarray especially when it comes to billing and parking spots. 3 TIMES they have overcharged and they're just plain incompetent. Tenants are incredibly rude and get pissy at you for the smallest mistakes. And their pool is tiny as hell only a certain amount of people is allowed in

I wouldn't renew my contract. Management is a revolving door. They have many complaints and are hard to contact in person or on the phone. Our plumbing was a mess. The washing machine leaked and they replaced it twice with other broken machines. Each machine leaked and damaged the floors. Our toilets overflowed regularly, flooded the bathrooms and stunk up the carpets. We used to have limited parking but now they've repaved the small lot and are charging over $100 for a spot. The counters, cabinets, floors and appliances are old and coming apart. The gym and computer in the basement are disasters; something is usually broken, slow, or mysteriously out of order.

I'll be honest. I don't live here. I'm trying anything to get a response from the summit though. I visited and loved the place. My partner and I began to fill out an application. When we tried to log back in to pay the fee, we got an error message saying the system was down. It's been that way every day for the last two weeks. So we emailed. No response. I tried about 4 different email addresses and nothing worked. Then we tried calling the number from the website. Call disconnected. Called the number on Facebook. An off-site representative answered and said she'd pass on our concerns. Nothing came of it. Tried another number, yet another person saying they'd pass our concerns on, still nothing. This is getting ridiculous and my opinion of the summit went from a place I'd love to live to a place that obviously doesn't care about anyone, including themselves. I'd love if someone from the summit saw this and wanted to change my mind. I'd even update the review if things go well. But if this is all I get from them, then this is a pretty accurate opinion of their customer (dis)service. Edit: all it took was leaving a bad review to get someone to answer me. Turns out there was a change in management that was poorly coordinated. We had to entirely redo everything, though folks were responsive once we'd become the squeaky wheels. They did tell me to try calling one of the numbers that I had been calling and getting no answer from so obviously there are still tons of issues to work through. Unfortunately they've continued to underwhelm. We finally got an apartment, though had to entirely redo the application because with new management came a new application system I guess. Would've been nice if they had notified the people with incomplete applications in the old system, rather than leaving us in the lurch with no emails or phones being answered for two weeks. Part of the application allowed you to select your parking space. Which, naturally, costs way more than we were told when we toured the place. We intentionally selected two adjacent spots. Naturally, we got an email saying that they have no record of us selecting these spots and they can't give us adjacent spots. I really wish that we had not been locked into living here by a family situation but will try to make the best of it.

I've been living here over five years, the living space is large, love the balcony, but the cleanliness has declined horribly sincenew management. The garage always smell like garbage, I saw a dead mouse a couple of weeks ago and the halls has had the same debris for a few weeks now. Very disappointed in a property who claims to be luxury

It seems that I'm not the only customer to have something happen to them and it concerns me greatly that I bump into another resident who has had more than one occasion had their handicap sticker stolen. I believe that there should be cameras around the property, especially the front of the building to capture and prevent theft or vandalism. My boyfriend's car was broke into and it was literally in front of the building. The other resident had her handicap sign stolen from her vehicle twice and who's to say it won't happen again? I love the maintenance team, they have always been very prompt and communicate for the most part.

I lived in this complex for 5 years. The pros of this apartment are the space. You won't find a larger space in the area. However, the price goes up a lot during your time there because they decided to create an outdoor space and now you have to help them pay for it. The utility bills are outrageous and almost ever correct. The company they go through always does them wrong and you'll end up owing more. The parking can get expensive and good luck if you ever need a guest to come over. The staff rotated at least 6 times when I lived there and half of the people working could care less and won't look up from their phones. The maintenance staff is very helpful and nice. You'll constantly have the smell of weed as you walk into the building and the area is getting very dangerous. I would look at other options.
