Exercise extreme caution when considering properties listed by the horrible company “AIR Communities” on rental platforms. Reviews for The Yacht Club at Brickell
Trying to reach anyone in the office through the phone is impossible... When someone answer, they are always in "an outside office" and can't give any information... Sad...
The big problem with an apartment building is that there is no incentive to maintain or improve the building or amenities. Everything here is falling apart, terrible gym, awful tennis court (full of holes) and pool area is like a terrible public pool. Honestly, terrible, if you can avoid!!
Lived there for a year, while the view and space are incredible, the amenities they advertise are not as advertised. In fact, basic amenities like a working fridge, running water, or functioning AC are things you cannot expect in this place. During my year, you could count on at least once a week problems with the AC, and at one point it was shut off for the entire building for over a week to replace a cooling tower. After this was replaced, problems and interrupted service were the norm, similarly you can expect your water shut off at random intervals for repairs. They are in the process of redoing the floors throughout the entire building, there are daily emails about what floor the noise will be on, unfortunately due to the nature of noise conduction through concrete structures, you can expect daily jackhammering. For hours. Additionally I was warned that they would try to take my security deposit of $1k so I had the apartment professionally cleaned, patched all holes etc and was somehow still charged a myriad of odd charges that miraculously totaled $1k, a little coincidental, no? Finally, the entire reason I even moved was because my boyfriend and I put in applications to add him to the lease, which apparently needed an entirely new apartment application, which we filed on July 1. On July 17th having heard nothing from anyone and after making several attempts to contact the company and building manager, they withdrew over 7k from my bank account for "market value" of the apartment since we had not submitted applications. The applications that they charged us $100 each for and those payments went through. After 6 hours on the phone with the company who is based out of Colorado (?) I realized that getting anyone intelligent or incorrupt was an exercise in futility, and decided to move. Now it appears I will lose the security deposit through further corruption. I have asked for an itemized list for things on my "final bill" which after a month has not been produced. Avoid this place.
As indicated by other reviews, the view here is beautiful. But given the horrendous management, there isn't anything else good to say about this complex. Random water shut offs (frequently), constant loud construction (often in the morning hours), regular AC malfunctions. These things would be bearable if the people running this place were either friendly or competent, but they are neither. Avoid this place unless you hear that the management has changed.
I had an appointment for a showing at 1pm. When I got There at12:59pm, the leasing agent was starting another tour. At 1:30pm the agent told me that the person that was scheduled at 1:30pm complained and that I had to wait until she completed that tour or leave and come back. What an awful experience! Especially during this pandemic, they don't respect the appointment hours and people's time. I would never lease an apartment in this building.
I have lived here for 12 years and it has only gotten worse and worse. The building is unsafe and the owners, Aimco do not care about the safety of the residents. The new changes have eliminated anyone at the front desk of the building from 12 midnight till 7 am: no one is there. Period. The outside parking valet is gone. There are no cameras on property or a security guard of any kind. The gates to the garage are open and free for anyone to go in at any time and vandalize cars and follow a resident into the secure areas of the building. Something very bad is going to happen as a result. Elevators break down regularly, air conditioning breaks regularly in the units. And try and get a package delivered. It is a disaster and management does not do anything about this. This is an over priced old box of units waiting for a very bad incident to happen. They have plans to tear it down and build new so make sure you check those plans out before you even think about living there. A great lack of respect and concern for the people who pay a lot of money to live there
Terrible place to live. I have lived here for several years and it gets worse and worse every year. You pay for location. Thinks break all the time. In the last two days, all of the elevators went down and people had to walk up the stairs (often more than 20 flights). When you complain, management could care less. They seem annoyed when you complain. One of them said "I'm sorry you are so unhappy" when I commented on how frustrated I am. The air conditioning goes down often and you have to live in the Miami heat while they "work on it." If you need something after hours, forget it. It is very difficult to get ahold of anyone after hours. Your rent will go up every year. The money clearly doesn't go into keeping the building maintained. We recently had a flood and the entire lobby was like a war zone for a few weeks. With the exception of one person in the office, everyone else is not helpful at all. The package pickup system is a pain as well. This building is very overpriced and things will break down often. Live somewhere else as this place is terrible.
I lived there almost 2 years, but when I moved they didn't return the deposit. The lease says reasonable wear and tear, they wanted to paint again...the apartment was sparkling, but they wanted an invoice from a cleaning company. Although the management of the building is good, I felt robbed when I left.
It is the worst place to live. Take this review seriously. First of all I am having an issue with them has been for years, for some reason they show on my renters history that I have an evicition, it has been 3 years already and they don't take that mistake out!!! I can't rent a place anymore "thanks" to them. The worst part of that? They don't care. Try to contact them and you will find out how they care about you as a tenant: No one EVER answer the phone (and their e-mail contact on their website Never works either.. so imagine be living in place where you can Never reach the office). Now other issues as a tenant: are outdated, the worst apartment in the entire brickell. the construction noise, the traffic, the price is super expensive and not worth at all, you can find newer apartments updated for cheaper price, the gym was always broken and the employee (the cleaner guy) always watching me drooling while I try to workout in peace or go anywhere in the apartment (last time I went there few months ago the creepy guy was still there working), the apartment had always something broken and I lost the count of how many days I spent without a/c during the summer. in resume, run away from this place.
would give them a zero if possible. charged for ridiculous things such as bathtub cleaning of over $100 and kitchen counter tops of $335 plus painting, we were hardly even there since we are flight attendants. never even had more than an air mattress. only returned $135 of $1,000 security deposit. worst management building i've ever lived in, avoid at all costs. oh and juan in management literally could care less about anything you ever bring to his attention. i created a yelp account just to warn future residents.
Very bad experience. Noisy. Dirty parking. Lack of information from the manager. They do not return the deposit. Lack of humanity and interest in residents (our case) We do not recommend it. Very bad experience. Very noisy. Dirty parking. Lack of information from the manager Carlos Garibello. Lack of humanity and interest for residents (our case). We don't recommend it.
I have been a resident at Yacht Club for over two years, and I would not recommend choosing to live here, particularly during the pandemic. The construction noise from updating apartments in the building is out of control. It happens every week, at least one day per week, and it sounds like there is a jackhammer in your own apartment, even if the construction is in a separate part of the building. The noise is so bad that I have had to reschedule meetings because I cannot hear. The construction has been going on for over a year, and it is unclear when it will be finished. It makes it impossible to work from home. Additionally, mask and social distancing policies have not been adequately enforced; signage reminding residents about these policies is limited to the first floor, when it should be posted on every floor and in the elevators. Likewise, this is a no-smoking building, and yet it's rare that I can sit on my balcony and not smell cigarette smoke. I have had cigarettes dropped onto my balcony on multiple occasions. The AC and elevators have repeatedly broken down. On a positive note, the maintenance and cleaning staff members are very friendly and attend to issues quickly. The view of the bay is also very nice. If it weren't for the view, we would not have renewed our lease.
Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with any apartment complex, let alone one claiming to be as upscale as Yacht Club at Brickell. I tried to cancel my application after discovering that the building is for sale and the on-site staff was shockingly rude and unresponsive. I owe a $1,000 deposit that has been in dispute for months. Now I have less than two days to pay or they will send it to collections. They will not answer phones or emails so there is no way to even make the payment as I was blocked access on my online account. Thankfully I didn't end up living here and I would suggest avoiding this place at all costs.
Just found out that they have another yelp account with all the complaints. I was going to rent there but after seen the inside, changed my mind. Bathrooms are really old and the floors have marks in the tiles. the building have a very bad system for recycling trash. One of the people I talked that lived there said a lot of their deliveries "do not arrive". They do have a automated system with lockers...There is no way of sending out like other buildings I lived with doorman. The people working in the reception are really unprofessional, taking personal calls as I wait to be announced, and also being unfriendly. Glad I did not sign up.
Terrible management.
Absolutely the worst management and polices ever. I highly recommend with the amount of inventory in Brickell, avoid this building. The building is getting old and has a lot of repairs and issues. 3-4 years ago they had extensive background and income requirements, those are clearly gone as this is becoming a "party building" of Brickell. Additionally, there are new people using the pool every weekend and you never see them again?! How does that happen..oh wait...they have residents using their apartments like AirBNBs. Avoid this place. The management is now weak. The Aimco executives who run the region are robots. And Aimco will try to grab every possible dollar they can during the move out process. Brickell has WAY better options. Last time I ever rent from Aimco. Should have learned my lesson last time.
I am a resident, been a resident for the last 3 years and . The first year was decent. But they switched community managers too often, and ever since the building amenities are in poor shape, the concierge service is a ripoff, they charge for using your own mailbox!!!!!!!!!! Cant even get package anymore without being charged. Security is really bad, everyone can get into the building!!!! Parking garage doors are always wide open, no security at all. Paying top dollar for living in those conditions do not meet the criteria.
DO NOT LIVE HERE. I'm writing this review to save other people the hassle of wasting their money/time/energy. Where do I even start. You will view the apartment with a relatively competent agent who will impress you with all of the "amenities"... then it goes down hill from there after you buy into the bs they're selling you. Gym- horrible, old crappy machines. NEVER cleaned. Oh they clean the floor on occasion but no equipment was ever cleaned (I was there every other day) and there aren't any wipes to clean it on your own. Staph infection lawsuit in the making. I just made sure to never touch my face/wash my hands frequently/have no open cuts (seriously). HUGE flood problem- they covered the stain up with some paint (both in the gym and in the lovely main lobby). Staff- could not be ruder/care less about you/hate their jobs/their life/miserable people... Oh you need the manager for something? Too bad he's never around, nor can any of the "super friendly" front staff inform you as to when he might be in the building. The convenient swipe plastic keys to get in and out of the building NEVER worked, frequently leaving me locked in the garage at inappropriate hours (I'm a nurse). Or stuck in the rain at a side door. They also can't promptly provide you with a new one because only one person (who is never around) can reprogram the keys. I moved here because they accepted dogs. What a mistake/mess, only to realize many other apartments in the area which are nicer also accept large dogs. No one picks up after their dogs. It is utterly disgusting. Everyone thinks there dog is obedient... they let them off their leash... and of course they don't listen to their owner who has trained them OH so well. I don't enjoy being sleepy in the morning, taking my dogs out on their leash, not disturbing anyone else only to be constantly confronted by dogs unleashed roaming dogs. And don't even think about going out back around 5/6, it's like an un-enclosed dog park. It's truly a free for all. You would think they would crack down on the issues since there was a dog bitting incident shortly after I moved in. Upon moving out, which was one of the most glorious days of my life, they tried to give me less of my deposit back because the cabinets and kitchen counter were in "poor condition". Lesson learned write EVERYTHING down when doing your initial inspection, make notes and take pictures. The cabinets/counters were nothing to write home about. Many of them not closing properly. Needless to say they were in the exact same condition upon moving out as when I had initially moved in. The good, poor, bad rating on the inspection is extremely vague. The agent wanted to mark everything poor. We had to argue with her over why something should be marked poor. I could go on but hopefully thats enough of the truth to steer you towards happy apartment living.
This place just keeps getting worse and worse. (the replies to these reviews are just a pr joke, nothing changes. ever) The management seems to have completely given up on the maintenance while increasing rent nearly 50% every time. PLUS MOST DEPOSITS ARE NEVER RETURNED, regardless of how immaculate your handover the apartment. Calculate how much you will that will cost you monthly and consider all options. Yes, views are nice, but aside from that 20 minutes every day or so the remaining 23.5 hours are hellish, with all things breaking and non stop drilling! So many other options out there for half the price, in buildings that aren't falling apart.
The building is amazing but living there is a nightmare no one cares about its residents, moving in and moving out is also a nightmare. Its been a month since I left the property and I haven't received my security deposit back, Ive been trying to call the office, sent emails or communicate with them via the resident portal and no one answers and I still haven't received my security deposit back. Poor service.
An unexpected $480 for painting and repairs, the apartment was left in really good shape about the painting, normal use and wear signs and absolutely no damage of any kind, as a huge company with too many properties they have all the rules set by a bunch of lawyers to give no chance to the tenants to fight back, besides they changed the lock to a keyless one and the thermostat to a "smart" one ($300 worth of improvement) and the renewal offer of the contract came $500-700 extra per month depending on the amount of months of the new contract, Super greedy and just not worth the current $3,200+ that i was paying, way less the increase in the price for a 30 year old building, while similar on the same street are going between $1,800 and $2,500 overall i won't be moving back to any aimco related property.
Stay away from this place! THEY WILL SCREW YOU OVER FINANCIALLY . They completely screw you over during move-out. The company they have handling all contracts is AIMCO. If you look the yelp reviews of apartments with AIMCO, you will see nothing but bad news. Living there: They nickel and dimed us throughout our time there: the fees for the apt do not include parking, trash, water, etc. On MOVE OUT: They told us we needed to give them 60 days notice prior to moving out on the 59th day. For all the days we did not inform them, they charged us PRORATED (current market value) rent +400/day. RiDICULOUS. BTW--that's illegal in Florida (landlord tenant statute 83.575). They did not give us any information prior to the start of the 60 days nor did they tell us how much they would charge. You have to know what you're looking for when reading the lease as this detail is located in two different places on different pages! When we informed them that we wanted to contest, they moved up our due date from jan 15th and gave us a total of 3 days during Christmas week or else they would send the bill to collections. If they sent this to collections, it would ruin our credit. We tried to talk to management, but they refused to even meet with us. As busy young professionals, we did not have the time to handle the situation given their new improvised time frame. They bullied us because they can. Do yourself a favor and pass on this building and rent from a condo owner that won't screw you over.
Ok, nice staff & location. However corporate loves to steal your deposit. They make up ridiculous charges: $150 cleaning fee, which is fine / $280 painting fee! I clean every part of the apartment before I left. When we moved in there were scuff makes here & there as well as chip flooring. Yes we hanged mirrors & pictures & for that they are taking $300!!! For 5 minutes work. Elevator goes out/ ac goes out/ drilling notices /we never complained, but stealing our money not ok! Be careful here, not worth it!!
Regrettably, the building management was a complete letdown. They unfairly withheld a significant portion of my security deposit, citing the need for unnecessary repainting despite my spotless move-out condition. Communication with them was sluggish. You will hear constant drilling in the building and hours with AC being down.. DO NOT LIVE HERE. In summary, while the maintenance staff shone, the building management's poor handling of security deposits and lackluster communication marred my experience.
The apartments are big and spacious. The people that work at the building are very nice. They come to assist you whenever a service request is made. Generally, there is a kind environment, friendly staff and good neighbors! However, I work from home and basically I was looking for a place where I can use the business center. The problem here is that they haven't paid the internet for the common areas since December 2015. Every time I go to the main office to talk about it, they said "there is nothing we can do, because corporate is taking care of this issue". Also, there are two constructions on site. There is one in front where they have a special permit to work nights (starting 1am) and weekends. The other construction is at "The Mark" the building right next to this one. The work is not at night or weekends but before we moved they assured us that the work would be done by October 2015. It's almost a year since then and the work on the Mark is not complete yet. Moreover, I've been renting for other companies like Pinnacle- Stuart Co. If you move to a property within the same Company building, the transfer is automatic. However, for Aimco if you want to move to another unit within the same building, you have to apply again and pay the application fees AGAIN. It does not count that you made your monthly rent payments on time or the fact that there are cero complains regarding your behavior in the building. This just seems like another excuse to take money from you. Also, beware if you want to leave you need to give 60 days' in advance notice. If not, they will charge an extra month plus the increase on rent for the unit and around $400 for the month to month lease. This does not count that you give the 60 day's notice on time, considering moving to other unit within the building away from the construction, until learning about the reapplication process thus we decided to cancel. Here in Miami, realtors suggest no more than 30 days to run a search because the market moves very fast, this makes it crazy to give a 60 day notice if you don't know were you will move! Therefore, despite the old appliances, construction work and noise that doesn't stop on weekends and nights, the balcony is covered with cement and dust all the time, but still they will increase $130 of rent for the next year. The staff is great and try to help; however, the Company and its policies are not clear and sadly it feels like they are focused in taking advantage of the renters. Beware before moving, the staff is not clear regarding a lot of the situations going on here. The balcony is a useless space that you would be paying extra for... sound and air contamination are terrible. We would have expected more consideration from the Company but money seems to be their main concern...
Would not recommend: * no security overnight; when security is here they do not check people in or provide much assistance to tenants * out of date elevators; frequently down resulting in a longer than average wait time; no AC in crowded elevators * inadequate package delivery process often resulting in several people looking for packages aimlessly in a small room; late fees and frustration * wifi does not work in the gym or lobby resulting in lost ubers and cancellation fees * frequent construction which does not allow you to work from home consistently * AC and water outages
The worst place to live in brickell!
I'm a 2 year resident and while there are good things about living in the building, I am forced to leave a bad review because recent changes have made living here unsafe. In particular, the building's continued decision to make the lower level of the building's garage completely open to the public is putting all residents at risk of harm. As just one example, three of my bikes (all of which were locked) were stolen from the building bike rack, which is housed INSIDE the building. I have notified the building and to my knowledge they have not yet taken any of the necessary steps to prevent this from happening again. They have not updated the code to the bike rack despite telling me they would. And they have not notified me whether authorities have been contacted or whether a police report has been made with regards to the theft, both of which I requested. Sadly, I am not alone in being the victim of theft here, as the comment below mine is of another resident who had his bike stolen from within this building.
After 5 years living in the building things started to get worse. Now in 2016 the conditions are not fair anymore so I decided to move out. You have to add to the rent (which goes up around $150 a year) the following expenses: Parking, water, sewer, trash, cooling tower and billing fee. In total be prepared to be ripped off around $300 a month. Normally landlords will not charge these amounts in any other buildings. When you move out, they will charge $200 to repaint the apartment even if it is not needed. I will go to court. This is totally unfair.

Elevators scrap the whole way down. And a panel in one of the elevators has been partially broken off for months. Aimco clearly doesn't care about this building
Did live at this location for two years. Before I moved out the maintenance did a good job. These are many problems. 1. Construction Noise is high and on some days of the week you have fireworks that take place in the back of building. You can not get in touch with the Front Desk , Leasing office, residence relations, when you call from your unit you get options to select one. No one picks up you must leave a message or go downstairs to try to see someone in the office. 2. You smell marijuana at times if you sit out in the balcony or open your window for air. 3rd You are not told that with your rent you also have to pay for Trash Service fee, cooling charge, cooling service fee, pest control fee, parking fee 75.00 dollars for each vehicle these fee's are every month together with your rent add about 200.00 dollars more to your rent amount for these fee's. 4th Sometimes you will find cigars or cigarettes that land on the balcony. You have 3hour elevator time for move in or move out even if the moving truck is late due to traffic 5th Before your lease is up they want to know if you are going to renew or not before telling you what the rent increase amount is that is illegal in my opinion. You suppose to get the rent increase amount in a letter before your lease is up with the new rent amount. Rent increase amounts are 200- 300 dollars upon a new lease .6th You have to signup for your packages with Luxer credit card or debit needed. If you leave your packages in the locker over three days you get charge ten dollars. 7th The clubhouse area where you play pool or watch TV or relax in is rented out to people that don't live there for parties and events. Dog owners let the dog run loose without leash in the back of building. 8th Air conditioning goes down sometimes 1 or 2 days but the east side of the building always gets fix first. You we get emails for air conditioning problems to let you know or anything else. 9th If you want to update your stove or fridge a monthly charge will be added to your rent. 10th Balcony rails need to be painted.11th Visitor are charge to park in the valet. No 30minute free time for visitors. 12th Front desk runs people up to your unit without calling you first. I had someone come up asking for a person that no longer lived in the unit. 13th You are charge for things like painting and other charges once you move out to give you less on your security deposit many other reviews state the same thing happen to them. I lived for two years no paint or anything updated in the unit unless you paid. They lack of good management and good customer service for the residence. Corporate runs this place terribly which results in high move outs. You have people leaving every time a lease is complete. Very old building trying to be high class with high prices. You can get better somewhere else clearly would not recommend this place to anyone.
hello i am a 1 year resident and i have to break my least because i cant affor this rent during this time of covid-19 i ask the building manager anne to pleas not charge me the 2 month penalty and she answer me in a very disrespectful way saying that it is a corporation and she cant do nothing about it ,that is what they answer when you need somthing , the AC sistem at my floor stops working once a week and is a lot bugs in the building!! Im very disappointed.
After moving in, it took months for all elevators to be operational. Then they decided that it would be good for residents to be without air conditioning for nearly 2 weeks doing an upgrade without any reduction in rent or offering to provide mobile air conditioners in the interim. Most recently there is as a major issue with water that caused no water or intermittent water with little pressure for 4 days. When asked about a reduction in rent, it was deemed this was an emergency and they don't do that. How convenient but if I have an emergency, I'm just required to pay the full amount in rent. Then while the water is out they have the audacity to ask you to renew your lease at an exorbitant increase. The amount you'll pay for this location isn't remotely worth it. Live elsewhere if you're moving to Brickell/Miami. Lastly, make sure you let them know well in advance that you're moving out. Saying "I want to negotiate an immediate move out" 90 days prior isn't clear enough to them that you're moving out. It's as if they didn't pass reading and comprehension in 5th grade. As people have said, views are great but it just isn't worth your time or money to deal with the hellish landscape. You can be without elevators, drilling, water elsewhere for cheaper, so do it!
This place is awful!!! The view is nice and they accept dogs for additional rent/fees BUT it's overpriced for what you can get in the same area. I just moved out and I can attest that there is a construction issue with noise/traffic and the building they are building is slow moving and approved for work at all hours. Also elevators are constantly breaking the ac unit stopped working all the time just non stop building service issues! Most neighbors I've talked to can't wait to move out. However, when you go to move out they will basically try and steal your whole deposit. Myself and 2 neighbors that I know of were all charged insane fees for absurd reasons or for things that were the buildings fault. All 3 of us were charged $195 to resurface the tub that I complained about not being done properly since I moved in. I was also charged $250 for bath wall re-grout which could not be my fault and I have pics to prove. Oh also I was charged $200 for paint and the list goes on... DO NOT GET FOOLED this place is horrible, and I promise you can get much better in the Brickell area for less. If you move here I promise you will regret it!!!
I made a mistake by renting at this place... I read several reviews that they will do everything possible to keep my deposit, and it was true: out to a $1000 deposit I was informed that was being refunded with around $330. Despite I reviewed the apartment and it was in perfect conditions, they charge me with $150 for re-paining the apartment (this is not my opinion, was said and written down by the person that checked the apartment when I left). They also charged me with $150 for cleaning the apartment (to avoid that I had to hire a certified company and provide a receipt, so anyway you will have to pay a similar amount with no confirmation they will accept it). There were a lot of other charges not related to my apartment but common areas that were charged after I left; had to call several times to customer service to try to understand and at the end this person just hung up the call. Facilities are old and smell weird. Location is good but there is a lot of constructions around creating a lot of noise. Have to say that front desk people was always helpful. Clearly would not recommend this place to anyone.
Would not recommend: . no security overnight; when security is here they do not check people in or provide much assistance to tenants * out of date elevators; frequently down resulting in a longer than average wait time; no AC in crowded elevators * inadequate package delivery process often resulting in several people looking for packages aimlessly in a small room; late fees and frustration * wifi does not work in the gym or lobby resulting in lost ubers and cancellation fees * frequent construction which does not allow you to work from home consistently * AC and water outages
the management/ maintenance here sucks. you can never talk to someone about your issues. nothing gets fixed. they tell you that's how it's supposed to be..... air conditioning doesn't work.... balcony floods and doesn't drain, a mold forms when water sits there for weeks. we have to use buckets to get the water off our porch... yet the maintenance people say the drainage works and that how it's supposed to be.
Poorly managed building. The beautiful view of the water made it seem like the perfect place to work from home. WRONG there is constant construction, college students party literally to 4 in the morning on work nights and don't even get me started on all my missing packages. The maintenance team is amazing though, they're the only thing holding that old ass building together. Would not recommend to anyone.
KARLA HORRIBLE PERSON , I just moved out of the yacht club BE CARFUL ,KARLA very starlight forward person and seems very professional but LIES I had to move out because I was having problems with my cousin and spoke to her and explained , she then said that she would try to rent it out with out no penalty and I would get my money back deposit and I moved out oct 4 the remaining of the month I would get back never the less I get a bill saying that I owe 1500 plus I won't get money back she will probably say otherwise anther thing I receive a month and half for free witch if she would have said it from the beginning but never explained Kara Hispanic Peruvian women and also Anne has supported her on everything even thought she told her that she did lie and I very signed or have acknowledge on the addendum PLEASE BE CAFUL KARLA AND ALSO ANNE SHE WILL YOU MOVE IN AND EVERYTHING AND THEN TRY TO IGNORE YOU AFTER
BEWARE: Leasing office charged my roommate and I for bogus items listed as bathtub and tiles without explanation, keeping the majority of security deposit. Charged for paint as well. Emails and letters to the leasing office weren't returned when we asked for additional details as to what repair had been completed, since according to our premove out inspection, no repairs were necessary. Update: After multiple emails and letters to office that went unreturned, they issued me a check for half of the bogus expenses without any explanation. Jose did not reach out.
I was 1 year at the Yacht Club Brickell Apartments and there are some benefits (location mainly). But, mostly, it was a total nightmare that was getting worse over time: noisy apartments, doormen that seem do not to care about anything or anyone, lack of company management communication, etc. As other reviews mention, this is the main problem: the company that manages the building treat their individuals like numbers: I had to wait almost 2 months to receive my deposit back via check! (with a previous reduction of unbelievable 500+ usd painting and cleaning, endless calls, emails, etc.). It seems like they just want you to give up on the deposit. Most of my emails never got any response back, etc.
Ignore the other positive YELP reviews. Aimco likely has an employee making them up and posting. You want to pass on this building. The place is getting old. Repair issues. Air conditioning. Elevators. Constantly something wrong. Additionally, they don't do the checks the used to do when this building was pretty good. They have people staying there on short term stays through their job who don't follow the building rules. And the Aimco manager and regional managers are so weak they aren't even worth trying to talk about. Aimco will try and rip you off as much as they can for your move out costs and milk you for every dollar. There are what...20,000 new units opening in Brickell, do yourself a favor and pick a different building. There is also a huge building under construction directly across the street. If they tell you this isn't annoying or loud, they are lying. IT is brutal and a massive pain. The only good thing is the old staff who has been there for years. The repair guys and staff are great. But avoid - you don't want to do this place.
The building used to be good but now it changed. No security,no valet, damaged amenities,no maintenance and pure management .i m very disappointed of this building and I don't recommend It at all
Do not rent from this place. When it comes time to leave, they will unnecessarily charge you. I've been charged 1600 for a countertop that I did not damage. I'm being charged for paint after living there for 2.5 years. Furthermore, security is not sufficient. People can come in as please. There was a sketchy guy sleeping in lobby at 5 am. Elevators constantly break. Construction is noisy and I often had to leave my apartment and stop work for the day. Lastly, management does NOT return calls or emails. This includes the corporate office as well. DO NOT RENT you will be sorry in the end.
most of my time was fine here. I did have a package lost by the front office, and security officers who misplaced my UPS packages. But nothing earthshattering. Their main problem is their leasing office and coroporate management. They require specific documentation for intent to vacate, yet do not provide you with it. They send you in circles and do not return messages. It's a nice location, but it is insufferable to have the kind of leasing office they have. My advice, like that of many other reviewers of Aimco properties, is to stay far away
If you like to experience 3 weeks without A/C , 10 days straight without having water and getting your car towed from your own parking spot , this is the place you're looking for! and don't get me started with the renovation noises that you hear every month. As a resident for 3 years from 2019 to 2022 , I've had the worst experiences with this building and its management. I've had to pay for staying at a hotel while renting my unit at the same time because it was unlivable without having water , and you might ask what was management respond to it , she said Sorry , and took the full rent and even raised the rent for the next year ! how sweet is that ? Don't get me wrong this building has a great view and its located in the best area in Miami but its a STEAL! you might think my story ended when i moved out , but you are completely wrong! now after one year they trying to charge me for not letting them know 60 days before i was moving out , which make sense right ? but not when i emailed them 70 days before and SOMEHOW manager managed to not see my email ! I'm gonna say again , this property is a steal. Security deposit ? they are not going to return it to you no matter what you do. Avoid this place
The worst building to leave on Brickell. Expensive, frontdesk useless, AC and elevators always broken, outside areas smells like dog pees. Pay for the view.
Arrived at the property at 2:20pm today. Was told by the parking attendant that the leasing office is closed, and I need to come back tomorrow. Called the property main number, and was told they're open until 5:00pm. Incompetence from the start.
The Yacht Club at Brickell has ABSOLUTELY ZERO CUSTOMER service. The desk opens at 12 and it is now 1 pm we have been calling trying to get a hold of anyone who can help us. No concierge ever showed up. When you call the number they have up it brings you to a third party company who cannot help you with anything. The staff is rude and unprofessional, could not give me any information about where my car was towed from the guest parking. This is incredibly unprofessional. When I asked security for help to check the cameras since there was no customer service staff available, he said that the cameras don't actually work and are just for show. I have never had such a horrible experience before.
It´s almost a year since then and the work on the Mark is not complete yet. Moreover, I´ve been renting for other companies like Pinnacle- Stuart Co. Lots of people have left the building due to the constant noise and traffic in the street. The balcony is a useless space that you would be paying extra for... sound and air contamination are terrible. We would have expected more consideration from the Company but money seems to be their main concern...
Beware - I was a happy tenant here (except the tennis court being in terrible shape). Then they towed my scooter along with non-resident vehicles, and a $700 ramp was stolen from my parking space. When I tried to communicate with on-site and then head office staff, they said they'd "Look into it." Then they wanted a final payment (after most of the accounts were settled) of $800. My towing fee alone was $300. I argued with them, and they sold the account to a debt collector. Not to mention they've been promising to resurface the tennis court for over 5 years and it's still in terrible condition. So... be careful!
Prior to moving here, I should have taken heed to the reviews previously posted but being optimistic proved to be a huge mistake on my end. There's constantly problems within the building such as one or more elevator's not working, entire building AC goes out during the heat of the day, and the parking garage is a nightmare to say the least. Hidden fees not discussed during move in. The Building Electrical fee's (lights etc)are extended to each resident, extremely high water bill's, Building Cooling charge (AC). None of those things were discussed during my move in disclosure / agreement. And to think with all the troubles each and every resident has to endure some how Management extended the amenities to residents in the Panorama Tower until that building is completed. It is completely a waste of time reporting any violations to the security team. Hopefully the next few (4) months will fly by.
Nice but drilling and construction every day! Imagine having a dentist drill your teeth - this feels like they are drilling your skull every day. Apparently plumbing in every single unit is being redone so at this rate this will continue for the next few years.
WORST BUILDING TO LEAVE IN - DISGUSTING I would rate it with CERO stars. I just selected 1 because I am forced to in order to be able to post this review. But its actually worth rating CERO.
So, first the good, the location is excellent and the rent and parking are quite affordable, especially for the area. The problem - the people who work here are absolutely terrible. First, when I booked the loading dock for my moving truck, they wrote down the wrong day and someone had it reserved. Instead of apologizing and trying to be helpful, the concierge said, "you must have said Tuesday since that is what she wrote down." Then, when I attempted to use the dryer in my unit, the start switch didn't work. I had a plane to catch, so had to hang all of my wet clothes in the showers. I filled out a service request and they left a note while I was away that they had to order a part. Then a few days later, a maintenance guy entered my unit without knocking (I had just come out of the shower and was not fully dressed) - I asked him to return on Monday. I heard nothing for a full week. Someone in management then contacted me to follow-up and I reported that they had not yet completed the job - then the same asshole who entered my unit without knocking comes up to yell at me that it was not their fault that they hadn't received the switch. I did not raise my voice to him, but he felt the need to scream and condescend to me. I have never been treated so poorly by a maintenance person in my life. Incredibly unprofessional!
Unfortunately after living here for almost 3 years I have to give them a one star. Although I enjoyed my apartment the building is unsafe and fell on my car parked in the garage . I have thousands of dollars in damage and after escalating to management I never received a response. It is unprofessional and disappointing . Not to mention the constant water and A/C going out. There are better buildings to live in in Miami.
I would not recommend this place to anyone: the place is old and has a weird smell, the elevators usually don't work so you have to wait long time; location is good but with constructions around making a lot of noise and the street in front is very busy most of the times. Generally people is friendly but do not resolve your request as you would expect; finally they will make any effort to keep your deposit, in my case out of $1000 deposit they will keep almost $700 based on the 30+ pages contract (obviously they will not tell you how to avoid these costs, so I recommend you to read every detail in the contract if you want to recover some of your deposit)...
This building is horrible . Now the trash chute don't work every week it's something new here . Something does not work rent is super high and the management team never answers your email or calls they are incompetent also .
Absolutely awful experience with the leasing office. I notified them that I was interested in seeing the 3bd. I scheduled an appointment via text with the agent. Upon arriving to my appointment I was told there are no 3bd available to see and that best they could do is show me a video. Waste of time. Why did they make me come in if they never intended to show me a unit? Extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate.
Nice views, great location but... There is drilling and construction every week. This has been on going for well over a year now. The jackhammering noise is so loud that you can barely hear yourself thing let alone work from or occupy your apartment. Water has been and and off, with the latest pump being extremely loud, that wakes you up in the morning. This is getting unbearable, even by the worst Miami standards
Do not move to this building!!!! Been living in this building 3 years and the worst building in whole Brickell! No security at night the garage is open so anybody can go in, as a resident you don't feel secure in this place!!! The worst management!!!!
I have lived here for more than a year and plan to move out soon. The association has changed recently and is really bad. The security is awful!!! they have stolen several bikes. People can walk in and out without a key and security won't stop them they actually open the door and let them right in with no questions. The grassy area is not being maintained like they used to, it is really dirty.
This place is awful!!! Moved out a few years ago but property manager was such a scumbag this needed to be reposted on yelp... If you move here I promise you will regret it!!!
monthly charges added to rent does not make this place worth living in. Be advised they do charge tax on rent and parking spaces. Other charges include a cooling charge (extra $60 per month alone) and other building utilities. Charges never decrease only increase. 3 months after moving out, still waiting on response for extra charges applied to security deposit without us being aware of it at time of walk through with building staff.
Miscommunications all around. Couldnt get me keys until 10:30 for an 8am elevator reservation. Then apartment was being cleaned. I was also told someone would provide me a code to get into my apartment but I didn't get that for hours and no one was responsive to my requests. The leasing office locked their door and were inaccessible for 2 hours. Didn't follow up until 2 days later. Eventually got maintenance to help. Overall didn't get good guidance on the move, every piece of it seemed to have internal miscommunications in the building
If you are ok dealing with having no a/c in Miami at least once a month and having elevators that are slow as molasses and always broken then this is the place for you
There were some things that were good about this building. It's in a great location in Brickell. My apartment had a beautiful ocean view and it was remodeled and in great condition. The building was clean, and the staff was very nice. One thing that I hated was that the elevators broke pretty often. I lived on the 24th floor so I couldn't just take the stairs. The move-out was a nightmare. I reserved the service elevator a week ahead of time. Since a couple of days before the move two of the four elevators were not working, including the service elevator. I went to the front desk multiple times to check on the status, and nobody knew when they would be fixed; sometime between Tuesday and Friday. There was a schedule that showed all the reservations of the elevator and the reason, so it was clearly stated that I was moving out on that date, and I'm sure I wasn't the only one. The morning of the move, I went downstairs again, and it still wasn't working. I texted the building manager directly to see what I could do. He was on vacation, so I got no response. In the end, we managed using the other elevators and fortunately because of the time, not a lot of people were home. Of course, it did take longer than planned. This building is not cheap, and the tenants' experience should be a priority. They knew that there were people that needed the elevator, they should have pushed at least for that one to be fixed on time or offered a solution when I asked. As if that wasn't enough, the day after I moved out, I spent 3 hours cleaning the apartment knowing that otherwise I would be charged for it. I waited for the furniture to be out so that I could get to every tiny corner. When I got my final bill, I was in fact charged for cleaning, as well as painting, a total of over $400. There may have been one or two spots on the walls, but the lease clearly states that regular wear and tear is considered, and I was only there for a year. When I moved in, I had to do a lot of cleaning myself, specially the greasy cabinets around the stove. I decided not to argue, life goes on, but I learned my lesson. Like I said before, it's a nice building with nice apartments, but elevators break often and don't expect your security deposit back unless the apartment is better than when you moved in.
Fair location and friendly lower grade staff, management is tantamount to useless and the quality of the apartments is poor make sure that you see what you will be renting. Quite over priced and you will find better else where They spend a lot on the show apartments on floor 10 and the lobby but the rest of the units are showing their age badly and they have weeks of AC failure with no compensation. Poorly serviced elevators often only 2 of 4 units are in service generally lower level apartment living I personally can't wait to move out and will as soon as my lease is up if not sooner.
It's a nice looking building but poorly managed. My friend moved there within two weeks his motorcycle was stolen out of the private parking garage. The doors to the garage were not working so people came and went as they pleased. One of those people went with his motorcycle. This is the second bike stolen from that garage. They finally closed the garage door but as if to date the gates are still broken. Management was negligent in these thefts. If the gate would have been locked and there was some accountability for who parks there., crooks would think twice instead of casing the place waiting for the next vehicle to steal. For the rent they should have 24 hour Securuty available. I have yet to see them. Beware they need to really address this or more property will be stolen
I lived at the Yacht Club for 12 months (June 2012-June 2013). The Pros of the building was the outside pool, balcony views of the ocean and the location. The cons were the smell of marijuana every time I got off the elevator on my floor (30th floor) and management. My car was dented in the garage while parked over night in my assigned space. I contacted the front desk, made an official complaint and found out that there are no cameras in the garage. Nor was I ever contacted by management regarding my complaint. I called the assistant manager, Juan and his response was "You have insurance and thats what its for". I was furious of his unprofessionalism. Ok, so I took care of the damage myself and just paid to remove the dent. My biggest complaint is the unprofessionalism by management of the buidling regarding the security deposit. Management produced a new document pertaining to damages and charges upon vacating the apartment for all tenants. I received this new form mid-term of my lease. The charges can be any little mark, scratch and further ridiculous attempts to retain a portion of the security deposit. Keep in mind that I traveled back and forth from New York and Miami routinely and spent maybe half of the time in Miami for the year. Also, I had the apartment professionally cleaned including the carpet even though I never wore shoes inside the apartment. I even took pics of the apartment on June 9 knowing that management would react in an manner to keep a portion of my security deposit. As expeccted, upon vacating the apartment on June 10 I was charged $400 for cleaning and other ridiculous charges. I met several of tenants during my lease that felt the same way as I do about management at this building.
I recently moved in the unit and the location is great. The only issues is the tons of hidden charges I've never seen anywhere. You're required to have Florida power and light and pay an electric bill yet the complex sends a separate electric bill....they charge you to pay rent, charge taxes on the charges in addition to the rent and other fees, charge for pest control which has never occurred. Repairs takes weeks if at all. The unit thermostat is always offline. The security is a joke, after 8p.m. anything goes, the desk is empty and they never question who comes into the building. The unit is super loud as the central air sounds like a truck. Residents don't wear masks,no sanitation stations. However i will say that parking is available for a cost.
Endless renovation noise that is deafening, cigarette smokers (although 'nonsmoking'), hallways that reek of garbage, a disaster of a package room and unresponsive local management. Generally a building that is aging badly and a sad waste of a prime waterfront location.
I liked living here my first year. Thought the view was nice, good location, and the rent wasn't too bad. However, in the last year, things have started to change a lot. There is high employee turnover. The lease staff never seem to know what is going on. When I went to sign my lease renewal, I was quoted one price and promised a continued discount, but after I had already signed the lease, that discount was taken away. When I tried to complain, management told me to call their corporate office. Two weeks, 5 phone calls, and two voice mails later I still have not received a phone call in return. Clearly they do not care about their customers! DO NOT LIVE HERE!
We lived 3 years in the Yatch Club. At the beginning we liked this place, but several things changed during this time, none of them for good... - Across the street, Panorama began the construction of the tallest skyscraper in Miami (80 stories). The noise is a nightmare. - Residents: this is a loud community, with many residents often partying on terraces or by the pool. Some other examples: * our neighbor was noisy every night until 1 or 2am (and sometimes even later). * some friends had to call the police because there was a party in the contiguous apartment * a friend living in the building was hit by another resident * lit cigarettes were thrown from upper terraces, ending up in our terrace below * smell of marijuana in several aisles * a resident threw a beer bottle from the 20th story when we were entering the building (the bottle fell 10 feet away from us, and the resident only received a "warning") - Staff: this was one of the main strengths of this building, but it was sad to see them go one by one in the last year - Price: expect an increase in your rent every year, independently of market prices; in fact, that was one of the triggers that make us explore other possibilities, and finally we moved to a bigger apartment in the Skyline (a newer and much better building) for the same price What other reviewers note is 100% true: - elevators: you have to wait a long time for them, as rarely do all four elevators work at the same time - pool: only gets sun until noon, since the new 80-stories building in front will hide the afternoon sun - garage: cars get dirty in there - air conditioning: they are always doing repairs to the cooling tower - security: you can walk in into the building or enter the garage with your car and no one will stop you - move-out experience: we were charged a cleaning fee, even though we returned the apartment in perfect conditions (the argument is that we were supposed to hire a professional cleaner); also, they charged some move-out fees we didn't understand. So expect to lose a good part of your deposit
The units themselves were nice. The views are hard not to be moved by and the square footage is impressive for a town where square footage is scarce. The pool and the gym were similarly nice. The building as a whole is satisfactory. Make no mistake though, it is an older feel in there and it's an older crowd. For me, the aggravation caused by my first impression turned out to be too much to overcome. I wish the Yacht Club the best but I'm afraid the world will soon pass it by.
I lived here for almost two years- first, I shared a 2 bedroom apartment on the 4th floor with a roommate and then relocated to the 28th floor with my fiance. I can say that the 28th floor view, along with the pool area (though very slippery) is beautiful, but it does not make up for the lack of customer service, friendliness and organization from the staff. We dealt with plenty of issues while living here. There were several water leakages, at least three. One time we had to stay at a hotel due to the massive heat and dampness in our apartment after cutting off the AC and bringing in heaters to ensure the walls didn't accumulate molding that same time, we were filling up buckets of water due to the leakage. The front desk and the rest of the facility are not in sync since they are contractors and can never answer questions. We left a month ago and have still not received our refund that should have been the full amount given the fact we dealt with so much in such little time. Like I said, great view, beautiful pool area but it needs renovating and friendlier/reliable staff members. Not worth the amount you pay. The realtors are rude and can never smile it wasn't fun to run into them at the lobby.
Good: Right on the water. Large apartments. Great maintenance staff. Good neighbors. Bad: Very old appliances. EXTREME construction noise. 24 hour skyscraper construction permit across the street, and concrete breaking going on for 9-10 hours a day next door. Rent rising by about $180 each year. Charge you about $65 a month on top of quoted rent for building electricity, sewer, trash, and a billing fee. Charge you $10 tax for the $125 second parking spot. The service door to the garage lets people squeeze by when locked. Move out: They charge you $140-$200 to repaint no matter what. Which is strange because it doesn't look like the place was painted when I moved in. They charge you to replace old, cracked appliances that work perfectly well. Too bad we missed the minuscule crack upon move-in. (Apparently all the older microwaves had the same tiny stress related crack on the door which did not affect functioning. Since the model was so old that parts were no longer sold, they decided that a completely new microwave would have to be bought. And upon move-out charged us $279 to upgrade their old microwave.) Charged us to clean the apartment after we spent 5 hours cleaning. You will lose most of your $1000 security deposit. Summary: Could be a nice building since it is on the water and the people living there are nice. However, the current construction noise makes it unbearable to live there. Plan on paying for a professional deep clean and repaint upon move out. Go over everything with a fine-tooth comb when you move in and document with pictures. Edit: removed the microwave charge and reduced the painting charge after a complaint. Apparently you need to pay for a professional deep-clean and then submit a receipt upon move out, although no one told us that. (Maybe it was in the huge move-out packet? I didn't see it there.)
Nice place but the residents get nickeled and dined every month. They don't have a fixed price for a lease on an apartment. If the building experiences expenses they pass it along to the residents. So lea-see beware!! Parking has no security and open for anyone to come in and steal or vandalize
Amazing location. Safe with 24/7 security. Great customer service. Solid units without too many noise issues. No consequences for bad pet owners that don't clean up after their dogs. The property does nickel and dime for almost everything.
I rarely post reviews but have no choice but to do so now considering the circumstances. Taking away all the emotion out of it, here is my take on this building after having lived here 6 years. Here's the good, the bad, and the ugly with this AIMCO property: THE GOOD - The property is managed quite well - The staff is friendly, for the most part - Maintenance is timely - Great location - Uninhibited bay views THE BAD - The units are older for Brickell standards. Moldy tiled bathrooms and bathroom door frames. Even though I have lived here for 6 years, they still want to charge me to replace the moldy and crusty door. - Across the street, the tallest skyscraper in Miami is currently being built. They have a 24-hour construction permit! Luckily, they don't go 24 hours but they do pretty much work from 6am - 9pm. Very loud and the traffic can be a mess since it narrows down to one lane. - Employee turnover in the common areas is high. Always seems to be someone new at the front desk. - Air conditioning in the building seems to break down monthly. They are always doing repairs to the cooling tower. Not fun during the summer! THE UGLY - My rent has been increased by 40% over the past 5 years! INCREDIBLE!!!!!! In particular, over the past 3 years, they tried to increase my rent hundreds of dollars. They've met in the middle the past few years but this year, they were pretty much firm. How is one supposed to budget for such an increase? Even worse, the response was so slow over the 2 month period that I only had less than 2 weeks to scramble to make moving arrangements. In other words, I felt I was pushed in the corner to renew my lease since I simply don't have time to coordinate a move right now with my busy schedule. - They charge for any apartment upgrades...such as laminate wood flooring, or upgraded kitchen countertops. - They started charging for the 1st parking spot, which used to be a part of the rent. They charge even more for the 2nd parking spot. - They now make all residents split the utility costs in the common areas! Think of it as a homeowners association fee...even though you own nothing and are just renting. - And did I mention my rent increasing 40%??? They try to say that they are just keeping up with the market. However, given the aforementioned, rental increases of that amount YOY are definitely not warranted. There's no considerations for loyalty and a tenant that always pays on time. My boyfriend's company gave him six month residency in this building. He was given a choice of a few different buildings in the area so I figure I'll write a review in case anyone is in a similar situation. Now, I've regrettably never lived on the water or in a Brickell high rise since moving to Miami, but I now see the appeal of BOTH. His apartment provides a breathtaking view of both downtown and the water. I love just sitting on the balcony and overlooking it all at any time of day. The building offers an array of amenities including a pool with jacuzzi and BBQs, tennis court, playground, indoor racquetball court, public lounge area, and gym. One of my favorite parts is the market where you can pick up coffee, sandwiches, wine, snacks, and more. The location is great for runners as I love to jog around Brickell Key and the Viceroy. It's also super pet friendly and there's a small area for dogs on the side of the building. Things that aren't so great? Visitors have to find street parking or valet for $2 which can be a bit of a nuisance. As others have mentioned, there's construction all around Brickell and it doesn't stop on the weekends so if you're not a deep sleeper, you're bound to wake up. I can't comment on the bang for the buck since he gets to stay there for free but I'd definitely consider living here! Both the staff and fellow residents are super friendly and welcoming which is nice to come by in this neighborhood.
This apartment building is in a great location close to Mary Brickell village, Publix and some great views of the water. What I don't like: - Big smelly dogs with owners who don't clean up after them - Front Desk agents rarely know what is going on - No floor mats in the gym Other than that, great place!
I rarely post reviews but have no choice but to do so now considering the circumstances. Taking away all the emotion out of it, here is my take on The Yacht Club at Brickell Apartmenets after having lived here 6 years. They will look at you as dispensable come renewal time...their famous line is "If you don't renew, we'll easily find someone else that will take your apartment and pay a lot more".
Cheapest you'll find in Brickell but I'm realizing there's a reason for that Mail room is horrible- meaning if you have a package. It literally goes into a shared locker. It's a scavenger hunt to find your package Cheaper living- Fire alarm goes off atleast once or twice a week. Out of 4 elevators. 1 or 2 will operate properly The gym needs to a complete remodel PLUS SIDE- The staff are great. The managers are very patient. Very sincere. And they do the best they personally can. The building is just old. The Maintenace staff are the best I've ever seen. Very friendly and helpful
Had an issue with billing and it was resolved. Was a good building. Good value option by water. Lots of good options in area. This is a decent one
Having lived at the Yacht Club for a few years now, there are ongoing noise problems related to neighboring buildings. Not the YC's fault but something to be aware of: - Garbage trucks making noise at the Mark around 6:30 am on Saturdays. - Sabadell building management hires contractors like tree trimming service to perform work at 5:00 am. Feel like waking up to the sound of chainsaws? Then this is the place to stay. Multiple contacts to city commissioner, code compliance and Miami PD were fruitless. They simply pay the fines and keep violating the noise code. - Sabadell fire alarms are also constantly going off, anywhere from 10 minutes to several hours long. - Construction across the street (demolition) starting at 7:00 am including Saturdays. Trucks usually arrive prior to 7:00 am, so you'll hear them beeping and making noise. Finally, the pool only gets sun until noon from about October to April. If you are still considering this building, the residents are very nice and professional, as is local management and staff. The units are spacious and I love that it is pet friendly.
The apartments are fine, the space is well distributed but there are several downsides to it: 1. AC is inside of your home and is really noisy! Montecarlo apartments have the AC just beside the bedroom so if you have light sleep don't even think about it. 2. Elevators are really old and poorly maintain some of the buttons don't even light up and they break often. 3. New community manager has done a really poor job at communicating. There was never an email about pool reopening. 4. Gym equipment needs renewal! On the other hand you have digital locks on your apartment door and you have the smart rent app which is convenient to control your AC and you lock. As other reviews mention, if you are gonna rent here tell them to inform you about what is included in the rent (nothing, you just pay for the space) because you get charged by the parking, electricity of your AC, sewer and other things separately, so at the beginning in may seem cheap but after you add all these things not so much.
