This "community" is not suitable living unless you enjoy being scammed. Wexford Village lacks professional communication with its tenants and only cares about the money they can charge you. We have lived in this complex since 2018 and the new community management team has really let this place go. If you do choose to live here, they will raise your rent exponentially and give you two weeks to decide whether or not you'll be living here again in 2 MONTHS. They will then charge you an absurd amount of money if you don't answer in time and then will not respond to your many attempts to reconcile anything. If you decide here, even if you pay for parking, you will never have a spot close t6o your apartment because many people without paid passes reside here and park wherever they please. They also never listen to any of your instructions or complaints that you may make regarding YOUR HOME. The trash cans are always overflowing with furniture, garbage, etc. and for a "smoke-free" community, there are cigarette butts EVERYWHERE. The walls are paper thin and the laundry situation is bleak; you have to pay for each load and there are two machines for two whole buildings. The only positive thing about this place is the maintenance staff. But otherwise, this has been the worst housing experience of our lives. Stay away.

This place is a dump! They're living off the image they used to have. They never update any of the old appliances. The walls are paper thin. If you have a room near the laundry room, the apartment will be 85-90 degrees in the summer. Have fun running your a/c all day. It was so hot we had the windows open in the winter. Whenever you bring these problems to Nancy (manager) she chooses to avoid the problem as opposed to actually fixing them. They talk out the problems and claim to be working on them, but they're not. They just say what you want to hear. They don't care about the residents at all. The security gate was up 15% of the time we lived there. Then they wonder why a person was murdered there. Wouldn't happen with a gate up, then again the gate was barely secure as it was. All you had to do was wait until somebody drove in and follow them. They claim to be smoke free, but all you smell is cigarettes and weed anywhere there. We got our place with a stained tub and a crusty carpet. Then they won't to charge us for it to be replaced, we mentioned it before but they didn't care and made an excuse for it. Its a joke we have to pay for that. This place loves pinching every penny out of you. Honestly the maintenance people are the only positive of this place, they have to paint over rust and make more with less. Hope your paying attention Aimco because this place sucks. I'll be happy to hear from corporate if they would like to hear more.

Over priced very over priced and they nickle and dime you.for everything. The eeny increases a ridiculous ammount every year, and they dont care weather you are a good tenant or not. They even charge you to use the pool, and parking. The front gate is always broken. This company has many things to improve on. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything and i mean everything. The smells in the hallways are awefull. When my neighbors cook it comes through the vents and smells up.my apartment. To expensive to have so many problems. Dont waste your money here.

Not a horrible place. Steep rent. And with your rent comes a gym, pool, tennis court, and a shared gross on site laundry facility. I have had an ok at best experience living here until I got the statement when I checked out and I got charged $170 for miscellaneous fees that were not noted during the pre-inspection. Be careful when dealing with property managers and maintenance.

I really wish that I had listened to the negative reviews before living here for 18 months. There is such poor communication between the staff that are on site and the money hungry management company. I was given conflicting information on multiple occasions that resulted in dealing with an expensive and stressful nightmare of trying to extend my lease by 1 month (my rent went up $1000) and when moving out that resulted in me being charged for things I was reassured by two staff members would not be a problem. Apparently because I didn't "get it in writing" it didn't matter. Aside from all of the expenses, the apartment grounds are covered in dog poop, (the "dog park" is basically all poop) the dumpsters are overflowing regularly (there is also no recycling), and the cul-de-sac of buildings I was in flooded regularly. There was a moat around the building the entire time I lived there. We also dealt with mice and a police raid upstairs from us and hazmat truck outside within the first week of living there. In speaking with Aimco the management company they claim to want to support and help their residents but at the end of the day they are only interested in how much money they can take from them. One representative I spoke with told me he would try to help me if he could but that management refused to make any exceptions. Look elsewhere it will be worth it.....

I've been living since 2015 in this community, and to be honest I've been wasting my money, if you want to rent here you should consider that you can pay a mortgage with the same money and at least is yours, here you will get charge for everything, you have to pay for parking, if you have a friend or family, you must pay a fee to use the pool because they are not in the lease, You have to take your trash out, if you call maintenance, the only thing that you will get them to do is to change your smoke detector's battery or unclog the bathroom, things that you can do by yourself, serious problems they just say that they can't do anything about it. The new Manager Vanessa or the maintenance boss they are really rude when they talk to you, or even to my under-age daughter, they don't know that a good customer service brings more tenants, they just want to get rid of you treating you in a really rude way. I live in a two-bedroom apartment and only the living room and master bedroom have old A/C units, the small room doesn't have one. I had to buy a portable A/C unit and if you plug it in, the electrical breakers go off all the time. The answer for maintenance was that they can't do anything about it and I should get an extension cord to plug it from the kitchen, the answer from the manager is that the apartment was built to have just two A/Cs, which it doesn't help at all because as I said before they are old and they are not enough to cool off the whole apartment. In the summer it gets really hot, and you are paying a lot of money to them, and they don't help you. There was a fire incident in another apartment, because they're so dated and that affected my apartment, it was a really pain, we had to argue with them to get some help with the incident even tough it wasn't our fault. I can't wait until the lease term is finished and get out of here, for sure you will get better places for the same amount of money.

DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS COMPLEX Not only is it a run down aged facility that's littered with cigarette butts and trash, but they will also try to charge you $700 to repaint your apartment when you move out with only normal wear and tear. We took great care of our apartment and there is no way that they used that much money for materials/labor. We are going to file a claim with the better business bureau and encourage all potential renters to BEWARE!! We have picture and videos of our apartment when we left - Facility claims to be smoke free and it is totally not enforced. - If you choose to enter this hellish place say you don't have any cars when you visit the leasing office. They will make you pay $35 a month per car, but will not enforce any towing of cars without stickers. If you work late you will never find a spot near your building. - Chris Lupfer is a joke as a property manager. He is responsive until you sign your lease. Once you're trapped into a lease, good luck getting a response through phone calls or emails. - Laundry is bleak. They have 2 washers for every 2 buildings and now they have raised the prodding to $2.75 for every wash and $2.50 for every drying cycle. - The pool looks nice, but it's only only maybe 70 days out of the year and you have to pay $10 for every guest you bring!!! Would NEVER recommend this place to my worst enemy.

This place is the worst!! They charge you for using the pool without even telling you! You can never reach them on the phone! Left 5 voicemails and still no call back! Every week there's something wrong with the washing machine, so you have to go out to do laundry. As far as security? The gate has been broken for almost a year now. They're cheap. Careless, and outdated. I can't wait to leave this place.

The washer machine has been broken for three months now, we have only one working for the past three months for the whole building 19, I already talked to Cristopher about it twice and it looks like nobody cares. They are good to deliver letters if you are late on the rent for three days but not as fast to fix what they have to fix.

DO NOT RENT HERE! I lived here for more than 3 years and always gave good reviews. But I guess you only find out how good or BAD a team or their ideals/policies are until it's really the only thing you can rely on. Due to visa troubles I had to leave the community mid lease and was stuck out of the country. I talked to the community team and explained the situation. ASKED FOR ANY HELP I CAN GET. GOT NONE! I did my part by still giving a 2 month notice. Basically paid rent even while not living in it. The team at Wexford said they would try to eliminate AT LEAST half of the term break fee (which is 2 MONTHS RENT). I left and 1 month later (March 2017) I get a call that I owe over $2800. I explained that I was told that this fee was going to be at least waived off in half if not full. They guy on the phone said that is incorrect and I owe the full amount. I lived there for almost 4 years and they would not help. This just shows that their main focus is in sucking any money they can out of their tenants. I should have seen the signs when with every new lease, my rents went up more than than any other community around. EXTREMELY SAD AND DISSATISFIED. I am being thrown out of county, my life is turned upside down and here comes this company asking for more Money. ZERO ETHICS. Once again, Please listen to me and DO NOT RENT HERE.

Avoid this place at all costs!! I've had a terrible experience living here. They charge for parking (was $15, they're trying to up it to $18 per car) yet parking is never guaranteed. I've had to park in the grass and in the snow several times. They claim that they tow cars without parking stickers but 25-50% of the cars in my lot do not have stickers and have been there for months without any consequences. I have brought this to the attention of Chris Lupfer, the property manager, countless times, as have several other people in other apartments, but nothing has been done. There's also a massive sink hole in our parking lot that keeps getting bigger and bigger. It is so big that if you happen to drive over it, your car will have serious damage. It's also a major safety/tripping hazard. This sink hole has been there for months with no attempt to correct it. I've also had several packages stolen and have brought it to the attention of Chris, yet he does not reply to me. My lease is up for renewal and while I was planning to buy a house and move out, the coronavirus prevented that. I am constantly harassed via text and email by Chris and Matt Gallagher telling me I need to sign the lease ASAP and to contact them with any questions. I have contacted both of them several times with my concerns and never receive a reply, just another "friendly reminder" as they call it, to renew. The management couldn't be less helpful if they tried. Kitchen is super outdated, especially the dishwasher. There are two washers and three dryers for 24 apartments. I could go on and on about the negatives of this place. Look elsewhere and save yourself from a major headache!

They took my application and my deposit and then told me they don't have an apartment for me! They called and told me I would have to wait 8 days for one to be available. Or I could rent another one for $130 month more. I did not know what to do and asked to speak to a manager. Now they won't answer my calls or email. Took my money and now they ignore me. STAY AWAY!

Management used to respond to all concerns very quickly. But the past few months, the customer service from the leasing office staff is ridiculous. Been leaving messages and emails for over a week without hearing back, and it's regarding stolen packages!! It seems that no one works here but the maintenance crew. They always respond promptly and swiftly to any service requests. They're the best thing about this place! The fees for parking are high, and they never seem to go around and check the vehicles that are here parked in tow zones or without permits. Not sure what I'm paying to park for, clearly anyone can park here - even in front of the towing signs! It is clear management does not care about their jobs or try to follow through with what they say they will do. We like living here, the grounds are nice and it is a quiet community, but we are seriously considering leaving if something isn't done to improve management response times and effort. I'm very frustrated that I pay to park and see countless vehicles parked in the center circles overnight or even in the lots without stickers. It's a bit of a joke living here now. I called corporate to try to get some help regarding my stolen packages, and was told to keep emailing and leaving messages at my local office. When I said I've been doing that for a week, they just repeated to keep contacting the management staff. Poor customer service all the way around!

This place is like living in a minimum security prison. Everyday there is another notice on my door about something completely irrelevant. I was running late for work one day so I left my trash outside of my door to take over to the waste room at lunch and I came home to a very forceful notice about how I am out of compliance and out of code, meanwhile someone left a bookshelf under the stair way for two weeks and that was acceptable. Oh, and the fire alarms just randomly go off for no reason. I had to call the fire department twice. So much for being "compliant". I have told them multiple times that my lights don't work in the kitchen, they send someone over and it doesn't do anything. It's not the light bulb, it the wiring......duh! I can not wait for my lease to end, I can't get out of there fast enough. Everything is always on their terms, I work everyday, so no I can't take the time out of my busy work day to come home and have you do a move out inspection. They should be the one's working around my schedule. This place is awful, overpriced, and outdated. Don't move here!

This used to be a nice place that I've been living at for the past several years until one neighbor moved in 3 months ago who smokes at home everyday! The whole building is filled with cigarette smoke that I have to keep the ventilator on everyday. It is annoying! It is a hazard to the health of everyone in this building! I can't blame the smoker because it's a personal choice to violate the rules but it's the management's responses to get rid of these people! It has been two months since the management is informed of this. I'm not sure how long it would finally take them to do something. But just as a reminder for everyone who plans to live here, think twice if Wexford village does not put their tenants' health first.

You guys need to be responsible. In 7 Duncannon Ave, all the washers and dryers and too old. They are always broken and leaving stains in my white clothes anytime I wash and dry them. They have numbers to call, but any time you report an issue, they only come and do their so called repair which doesn't work. I think this washers and dryers are too old and need to be replaced.

My unit had a terrible bug problem that seemed to start right after moving in and they could not get it under control. I moved out a month early because of it and the leasing manager said he had someone who he re-leased my apartment to so I wouldn't have to pay the last months rent. I drove there to talk to him in person about a week later and that is how I found out the person didn't move in, and I was going to have to pay the last full month. I sent an email to the leasing office to ask if I should wait to pay in case someone re-leases it and received no response. I tried calling a few times today to handle my unfortunate final balance and they wouldn't take my calls. Very disappointing.

Short and sweet... My downstairs neighbor yells at her children from 6am-6pm (I guess that's bedtime). I have left her notes and complained to the office. I am writing this as I listen to her yelling and the children screaming! This is not when she is in one particular part of the apartment. If she's in the kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, or living room WE HEAR HER! One tip, if you move here do not pay for parking! We pay $30 a month, with no benefit. There are people who have cars here without any parking permits. In addition, I know 3 cars that have not moved in at least six months. Management knows parking is limited yet parking permits are not enforced. Wexford completed a stairwell upgrade but the paint job is cheap (the paint looks thick) and was not done by professionals. The carpet is even cheaper. It looks as if it came from a discounted warehouse. My rent was increased to $1515 for their version of an upgrade. From what my family is experiencing living here, this place is not worth the money. George, I have reached out to the office several times. I live in building 13. You all may have towing services but they do not tow cars without permits.

For those of you who do not wish to read a long review, I'll summarize it up here. Do NOT MOVE INTO WEXFORD VILLAGE! The people are nice and maintenance does its I can't stress this point enough. While the community managers may seem friendly--and many genuinely are--don't get swept away by the seemingly well-kept grounds or exterior façade of this "gated" community. In the year I leased with them, I have been disgusted, ignored, and have honestly feared for my safety on a number of occasions. Wexford Village not only nickel and dimes its renters half to death, it ignores legitimate concerns and makes every interaction as unpleasant as pulling teeth. When I first moved into Wexford Village, I let a lot slide that I should have seen as red flags. First off, the gate at the beginning of the complex didn't work half of the time. It was constantly refusing to read my card or allow me to buzz people in. A couple of times, I had to drive down to the gate in order to manually admit a guest because the buzzing function wasn't working. Okay, this is a minor annoyance, I thought. Ultimately, I decided it was better to have a gate that occasionally glitched out for security. Fine. Then a couple months later, the gate closed on a leaving car. It. Just. Closed. There was a ton of damage and the gate was opened. A notice was sent out, saying that it would no longer be used. This didn't sit well with me. I had chosen this apartment complex, in part, because of said gate. When I went to talk to the community manager she told me that the gate was considered an amenity and that they could remove it whenever they wanted. Basically, she told me "tough titties, deal with it". But of course, she did it with a plastered on smile and a story of how all of the other tenants were happy the gate was gone. Of course they were. It didn't work! I'm sure they would have also been satisfied with you, I dunno...fixing it. Shortly after the gate was decommissioned, three unknown, non-resident individuals entered the compound. One of them was shot during an altercation and passed. Now, I know this could happen anywhere. This news would be distressing, no matter where it occurred. But this isn't a review about gun control or the sadness I feel about needless violence. This is a review about a living arrangement that was supposed to make me feel safe and secure and fell apart so quickly I could hardly keep track. This is a review about the supposed "smoke free" environment that is not even close. I can smell smoke RIGHT NOW. There are bags of trash that are left for days outside the doors and the fire alarm is CONSTANTLY going off--something I complained about after a particularly snowy 2am encounter. The CM told me it was because of the snow, however, the snow has melted and it's still happening. Last month the front door to my building was broken for five days. It took them five days to fix a doorknob. We had to go through a different building to get into my apartment. Which, okay, a little bit of exercise isn't the end of the world but the response time is so slow when there is need for a repair. On two different occasions, I made a service request that just didn't happen. The maintenance crew is very nice but it's clear they're overwhelmed. If there isn't a ton of firetrucks and police outside of a building, it's something else. Be it the company disabling the buzzing system at the doors (because tenants complained that they were broken and disabling them is easier than fixing them) of the company refusing to fix flickering lights, there's always something. And did I mention that the office has lost not one but two of my packages? Yeah. And the price. Let's talk about the prices. I'm sure there are complexes that charge you for parking on top of your rent. They may even charge you a monthly surcharge for pets. Is it also normal for them to charge you for changing locks and cleaning your carpets after you move out? I feel like those costs should be paid by the company that owns the building. Why am I paying for the upkeep of YOUR apartment complex? In addition, the cost of laundry is laughable. More than $4 to do a load of laundry is too much. Not to mention, you have to buy their laundry card to begin with. All in all, Wexford Village is too expensive for what you're getting back. I pay almost $1000 for a 750 square foot apartment. And that was last year's rate. They've upped the base price for this shithole to $1149. That's the BASE PRICE. You could do so much better. This place isn't worth it. Save yourself some stress and aggravation. Find an apartment complex you can feel safe and comfortable in. Please note, I have no commented about any of my sketchy neighbors. While I was off put by this (I had three different people try to walk into my apartment), this isn't necessarily Wexford's fault. Sketchy people are everywhere. Here they are loud, they smoke, and they have fights with their girlfriends in the hallway. It happens.

I really loved living at Wexford Village. It was quiet and safe, and plowing in the winter months was excellent (apart from the really steep hill coming into the complex that sometimes got really dicey). It was moving out that was the trouble. Everything went fine and after our move, I received an email indicating we would be getting our $500 deposit back in full. They had my new address, no problem. When I didn't get my deposit back after a few weeks, I emailed the team. They checked and assured me it had been sent out, and provided me with the date of the check's mailing (July 26th, 2021). They advised it could take up to 14 business days for me to receive my deposit in the mail. After this time, I emailed them again when I didn't have the check in hand. And... they ghosted me. This email was sent on August 19th, 2021. Thinking it might have gotten lost in the shuffle, I emailed again on August 26th asking for a follow up. I got no response. My mom was diagnosed with lung cancer in September, so I didn't get back around to emailing them again until late October (Oct 20th, 2021). I explained I had tried to email them multiple times. I CCed the community manager. And was ghosted AGAIN. It's March 9th, 2022 and I have not heard from Wexford. I have tried calling. I've left a voicemail. I would have recommended this as a nice place to live, but frankly-- No. Absolutely not. This is ridiculous. When I was moving into my new place and my new landlords needed to get in touch with Wexford, they had a really difficult time getting hold of anyone for a reference. It's poor customer service at best and sketchy at worst. Where is my money, Wexford?

Clean, well manicured and excellent maintenance. Staff is very nice and generally helpful. The issues are: broken gate at entrance (not being repaired), month late opening to community pool, and lack of enforcement of parking and non-smoking rules. The lack of attention to rule inforcement and broken amenamenities is very dissapointing considering the high rent.

See edit below: Great and friendly folks in the leasing office! Maintenance is very kind, super quick and courteous; and all of the staff is accommodating and conscientious of units with animals - especially large dogs! Love the location and the units are pretty sturdy! Edit: dropping review to 2 stars Remodeling has made the parking lot a little less than kid or pet friendly. Still finding screws and nails and razors on the pavement. They have been remodeling the halls for months, it was only supposed to be a few weeks. It's supposed to be pet friendly but you cannot use the facilities to clean Any pet laundry. And the community manager will give you notices like these across the building but will not offer a solution. Kayla and the maintenance staff are still awesome but the rest of the place is very quickly showing it's colors. There is also a nauseating smell permeating through the hallways and it has yet to be taken care of. It's still leaking into the unit. Sorry Wexford, but not sure I'll be recommending or renewing.

We asked to be notified before going into the apartment so we could be home. We have a large dog. Maintenance did not notify us and went into the apartment while we were out and the dog was in the apartment. Luckily no one was bitten.

I've been there just about a week and I can't wait to get out, they nickel and dime you for everything pool, laundry cards, parking, package delivery even a service charge to pay rent? . From what I'm reading here water and sewage as well??? I really hope they don't charge for that on top of the high rent. Just absolutely horrible shame on me for not doing my homework..If you have other options take them, or be prepared to live under a dictatorship. They are getting a 2 star because the staff there are very friendly and helpful.

We have lived here for 3 months now. Some neighbors are pleasant but most have no regard for others around them. Other tenants and even the maintenance people are super loud when in the halls or outside. Laundry rooms always have at least one machine malfunctioning and dryer vents always have lint left in them from previous user. We came here because we have a large dog and it is pet friendly and this seemed our only option. Don't be fooled! There are other nicer places that accept large breeds; they're just not listed on Trulia where we did our apartment searching. A real bummer we discovered this after our lease was already signed. Leasing office staff are pleasant enough and I'm sure their jobs aren't easy dealing with the tenants who live here. They are accommodating to having shipped items held in a locked room with a sheet to sign when items have been picked up. These girls are always smiling. Over all, you would think the money spent to live here would promise a classier, more courteous crowd of individuals; but neighbors are dirty (dunkin donuts cups left out in parking lot), loud (obnoxiously talking/yelling while outside the building at 2 am) and just plain rude! There are too many instances of rudeness to list here. I will mention that in this past week alone I've seen Worcester Police in the halls knocking on someone's door and one recent morning we heard multiple gunshots in a close by neighborhood. This is not a place to live. I'm so thankful we don't have children yet. We can't wait for our lease to be up. Plus sides: postal package holding in office, trees with a little bit of wildlife, lifeguarded pool, and awesome older couple who live in our building that don't have a dog of their own but buy treats for our dog anyway.

I used to love living here before, but I have realized that they have a very poor customer service, I have tried to communicate by all means, I have sent them millions of emails and I do not get answers, I just wait for my lease to end so I can move sooner from this place.
